* This is a healthcare innovation that makes sense! *
Health care is constantly a challenge for any country to deal with - just witness the debates in the U.S. Congress lately. Sometimes technology does provide a solution though to make things a little bit better. Enter Excelleris.
I went for my regular check-up tests at the lab, and when I requested a copy of the results to be sent to me for my own records (as I always do), the kind woman behind the counter said, "Have you tried e-health?"
I gave a confused look while my inner tech geek was starting to salivate....."Um....No....what is that?"
She said, "Oh, if you register for the service you can check your results on-line."
Me, "Nifty."
I came home, checked out the service (which is offered by Excelleris - not by the lab directly - and actually handles both of the major labs BC Biomedical and Lifelabs), did the online registration, and got an e-mail confirmation within seconds which told me to wait until I receive a PIN in the mail to finalize the registration.
The PIN arrived the next day!
I logged on, and the test results were already available - in less than 24 hours!
It used to take anyplace from 4 days to 10 days to receive them in the mail.
This saves postage, saves gas, saves trees, saves time, and works flawlessly! Nifty!
