The sushi is decent enough, its rolled right in front of you and it has some flavor and texture... to be honest, I dont know much about sushi, but if I get a craving for it and im nearby I dont mind spending $5 on the 22 piece here (comes with some green horse radish, ginger, soy, and soup). Its pretty difficult to screw up a California roll, but I'd imagine I wouldnt want to try their lesser known items. Last night I had 10 peices of yam tempura roll, which came out crispy and with some battery taste. But, if you havent already assumed this, I have no real taste for sushi (its pretty bland imo).
I remember mostly going a few years ago when I was hanging out with mostly underaged punks. I also remember their beer being reasonably prices (although without a selection), although im not suggesting YOU try to drink it underaged (please!).
All I can really dock about the place is the awkward lighting and booths. But it is a discount sushi place, so ambiance isnt exactly written on the cheque. Its pretty cute that they have sapporo beer balloons hanging on the wall.Listed in: Dive Eats

Don't be deceived by the 22pc Sushi Special! It's not real sushi, but Cali rolls, avocado rolls....things with lots of rice. But what do you expect for $5? Haha

Bad service!! Should've known better when the 2 girls beside me ( to my left) were complaining about the food and the old man beside me ( to my right ) had to repeteadly asked for his tea before he got one. Ordered veggie udon, was told that they ran out of noodle that day ( go figure .. ), ordered the 22 pieces sushi special. Waited for 30 minutes, asked the waitress, she said it's coming soon. Ok, 40 minutes went by, still no sushi, nothing. I finally lost it and told her that I would just pay for the soda because I had waited ridiculously long for my order. Never again!!!
