Ah, Evolution. I lived here for much of my twenties. They're usually playing mainstream 'heavy' music like Linkin Park, System of a Down, Disturbed, Nine Inch Nails, Rage Against the Machine, etc. It's dark in there. There's a front bar, and if it gets busy enough, which it often does, they open up the back bar, too. The bathrooms are grossish, but less gross than most other bars. The staff are great and friendly, and I find the clientele there a lot more varied...you've got little goth kids dressed like the Crow, industrial kids in giant boots with goggles on, girls in backless shirts and tottery heels and sparkly pants, guys with popped collar shirts and too much hair gel, and everything in between. It really is one of the friendlier and less pigeonholey places around, and they're usually happy to play requests. Cover is reasonable, drink prices are reasonable. I had a lot of fun there a lot of times.
