    Bazzzzzing! Heaven.

If you love wine like I do, then you'll love Everything Wine. The name of this fine establishment says it all.

Great variety of drinkables and fantastic accessories. For my birthday, I would like Everything Wine GC's please!

Agreed! A great store and I love the deals in-store and online. Plus they deliver on orders over $200!

I would say that the staff are probably not quite at the level I'd like - had some hits and misses with getting help. Still it's a lot better than the curmudgeonly stare-down you get from a BC Liquor Store employee when you dare to ask them!

Do yourself a favour and go straight to the tasting desk if you have a question. Guaranteed you'll get someone who knows wine a little better, not just a stacking clerk.

PS - Don't park across the street in the strip mall pkg lot - you will get towed! There's a cramped little garage nearby with dedicated parking spaces for EW.

This place is the self proclaimed largest wine store in BC and I agree. In fact this might be the biggest privately owned wine store in Canada (even the mighty LCBO stores in Ontario will be hard pressed to match the display area they have here)
The setup is quite impressive with dedicated areas for each region. In addition there is a separate area for high end stuff.
I can easily spend hours here just going through the aisles and aisles of goodness. There is a good representation of each region and luckily their focus is not limited to domestic stuff.
Plenty of options to taste stuff. Prices are OK (one can get a better deal if one makes and effort in some cases)
Staff was helpful on both visits and there was never much of a crowd here.
    Highly recommended.

...what a great place to browse on a Sunday afternoon. Candystore good!

I have never seen such a selection of great wines - and organised so well. The back room is the best of the best.

But the selection of premium BC wines is amazing. No other wine store even comes close to the completeness of the selection.

And the half bottles - I have not even started. What a great way to sample a ton of wines!

For my real wine needs and wants, this is really where I come to venture the isles. It is a daunting task to look for what you are looking for in this place, knowing that some other bottle might tempt your thurst for the night. The one thing I love about a store like this is the staff that is hired, as everyone here, for the times I have been here, know exactly what they are talking about, and are willing to accomodate to what you are looking for.

What is really great, even though they have other stores, is this one has 'online' inventory, so you could make your purchases online, and go pick them up, or have them delivered to your house. Talking to one of the staff members, they say that the online site updates 3-4 times a day, so it is best to call before placing your order, but this is using technology to the fullest. They have more of the wine's you would not see in the other stores, and a selection that is vast.

You can also come here for their weekly tastings, and also buy everything geared up to wine, from the decanters, to the openers to the glass wear. A good little walk into this wine haven, and you may be a little empty in the pocket when you are all done, but it will be well worth it.

I've heard about this place and finally found the time to go here.  The name says it all.   It literally is Everything Wine.

I have never seen so much types of wine.  The place was huge and elegantly decorated.  There is a bar at the middle of the floor for wine tasting.  There are also books, wine glasses, and more that you can buy.
The price ranges from $8 to $50.  There are a lot of staff so no long line ups and there is an underground parking.  Need I say more.

You can't leave the place empty handed.

    * A reason for a reverse tunnel and bridge crowd (or actually just bridge) *

Vancouver is frequently rated as one of the best places in the world to live.  For the most part that is entirely true.  Wine is really the Achilles' heel for that claim though!  Improve the wine situation and we've got a 5 star city!  (Well, need to add a few types of top notch ethnic cuisine as well, but I digress.)

There is a very limited selection at shops - probably because of the tight regulations around alcohol.  The prices are also much higher than what you would find just 30 minutes away across the border.  But a day run across the border results in heavy duties bringing wine back in (unless you stay overnight!).

Having lived in the Bay Area, it is painful to see the pricing and selection differences here in Vancouver.

Given the challenges with regulations, Everything Wine is probably the best spot in the Vancouver area to find a selection with a staff that understands what they have available.  They have a very broad selection by Vancouver standards, and also have a decent percentage of stock available in the reasonable daily drinking range, as well as a nice selection of premiums as well.

They also offer a nice selection of tastings several days each week.  Just check their website for details.

On my occasional North Vancouver runs I stop here for wine; visit Afra (http://www.yelp.ca/biz...) for dried nuts, Turkish delight and baklava; and grab lunch at Lonsdale Kebab (http://www.yelp.ca/biz...).  It makes braving the bridge not so bad after all!

This make 5 booze reviews...I'm sorry but I just can't yelp myself..ha ha..get it...I said "yelp myself"  instead of "help myself"...alright..moving on then...

Everything Wine does not disappoint..it's a Somali's Mother ship...you name it..they've got it..any region or type of wine you could possibly think of is right at your finger tips...they even have a huge vintage selections through a neon pink glowing archway..which personal was my fave part of the whole joint...

Service was impeccable...he did everything he could to help us track down the wine we were in search of and when he didn't have it..he pointed us in the direction of similar wines to try...

It's worth the trip to North Vancouver to check it out...you won;t be sorry!

I normally won't trek up to this part of Vancouver since I hate the bridge, but thought it was a great chance to check out the largest wine shop in BC thanks to Yelp and the Summer Solstice Fest!

What a great shop - Crystal described it perfectly at the event when she called it the Superstore of wine stores!  There is an amazing selection and some of the harder to find labels as well.  Eeek, 5 amarones in a single shop - I'm in heaven!  And of course, my favorite Therapy vineyards :)

Layout is very bright and clean and well-organized.  Staff were very friendly during the event and it was nice to learn about some wines I've never had before and some newer labels.  There is a small section at the back for rarer vintages and the $500 and up bottles for those with the cash to spend.  The front of the store has a nice selection of Riedel glasses and wine accessories to add to your bar.

When I feel like braving the bridge traffic again, this is a great stop for any oenophile or someone wanting to learn a bit more about wine!

I finally visited Everything Wine in North Vancouver and, without the beer and liquor, it's the closest thing to Bottle Barn I've seen in Canada. It's a clean, well-lighted, 12,000 sq ft place for wine, where expansive aisles and substantial stacks make it a wonderland to browse.

Everything Wine is a private store with Liquor Board prices. Its selection and value make it perfect for shoveling cases into a shopping cart. Plus, they offer a token 5% discount off 12 or more bottles. Of the store's 3,000 labels, half are speculative, which means the Liquor Board does not list them and they are usually not available outside the odd restaurant. There are mountainous case displays featuring spec wines at prices ranging from $11 - $15, a sight unseen in any private or provincial store. A wine slut could go nuts in a place like this.

Bottles are arranged first by country, then by producer, which is an excellent way to shop. In the California section, Ivana and I found the Taz Santa Barbara Syrah and Pinot Noir - alas, not the Chardonnay - which is a rare label in these parts. In Argentina, we found the very first Torrontes I ever tasted, the organically-grown Pircas Negras. And, they also carry the Crios Torrontes, which I've never seen in Canada. In the BC department, we found several wines from Pentage and a generous array of Le Vieux Pin. We saw so many old friends and so many new; it was like a wine reunion,

The store has a dedicated wine bar and features daily tasting from 2-6pm. On the Saturday of our visit, they poured a flight of Trefethen wines from Napa, including a $109.00 Cabernet Sauvignon. Its luxurious mouthfeel and deep black fruit tasted all the more splendid while touring the well-appointed Vintages room. A knowledgeable clerk told us that the store carries about 3,000 labels, 600 of which are displayed in the cool darkness of that cave. They stock more Rombauer Chardonnay than I ever saw in Bottle Barn.

Other upsides include free parking, ample accessories and lots of literature. The staff is so helpful you almost want to fight them back with a magnum. Specially designed shopping carts have an extra-long bottom rack that might be helpful for piling cases, but seemed otherwise dangerous to the ankles. The Web site is clear and attractive, and would be perfect if it had an inventory search engine. The site does have a Feedback page and that's where I'm going to make a formal request for the Taz Chardonnay. We'll see if they can source it. Everything Wine has a store in Victoria, but what I want to know is when will they open here in Vancouver?

Came here for the Summer Solstice Wine Tasting (thank you Yelp)! This night offered 12 different wines, 4 whites and 8 reds. The space is huge! I never know how wine is organized and how people determine which areas should carry which sections or wine, but for the most part, I could see where everything was. There was a giant koala stuffed animal at the top of the shelf so I could easily identify Austrailian wines :)

Nice accessories are sold in the front, and there is a middle area where cheese, crackers, antipesto, meats and fruit was served for this event - thank goodness because the crackers definitely helped me get through all the wine tastings *Blushes - COMPLETELY RED* The representatives were super friendly and took the time to explain the wines and start up a conversation with you. A silent auction was also in session with nice gift baskets and shown in the "vintage" room - a much chillier room to preserve the wines I'm sure.

The space had neon pink glowing lights to show off certain sections which I thought was super fancy and I love pink!!

Overall, it was a great night and great company and great conversation and I'm looking forward to try more to these to become a better wine conisseur!

Oh BTW - I've given myself the "most red individual in the building" award.... seriously it's embarrassing when I drink all these wines and I', sure people think I've had at least 3 samples of everything but that is really not the case... oh Asian enzymes!!!

Went to a tasting here and it was truly awesome.  Everyone here was very friendly and they have a good selections of wine.  Instead of driving the 5 hours to the Okanagan Valley, it was as if the vineyard came to us in North Van.  Easy, breezy, and yummy.

They have the calendar of events available at the store, not sure if they post it online.  Good to know!

A girl I know told me that every weekend, her and her boyfriend go and buy four bottles of wine and get to know each one from this place. It has an amazing selection and stocks some really hard to find ones... I drink a lot of sweet wines and they carry lots of blue bottle German Rieslings and these crazy fruit wines from the Okanagan. I tend to stock up here and keep a bunch of bottles on hand for any occasion.

Oh, and they have tastings every day! I don't live close enough, but if I did, I would take advantage of that more.

In a province/country where they want to keep wine drinking a hobby for the elite (thanks to the grotesque taxation) - Everything Wine is a pleasant addition.

Now not to rant about how uninspiring the wine scene is in Vancouver and how the taxation here robs the joy, not to mention the dollars, out of enjoying this age old tradition.

Everything Wine is a pleasant change from those sad BC Liquor Stores.  The store is well organised, with a selection that is welcome.  The staff is available, friendly, and semi knowledgeable.  The tasting are a pleasant surprise and well executed.  Their website is very used friendly and provides a live inventory so you can check before you go.

I've found my new go-to wine store. Open 7 days a week and packed with wine from every corner of the winemaking world and with bottles at every price point - I'm a huge fan. For example, I was amazed to see an entire section of New Zealand wines, not just a couple of bottles as an adjunct to Australia, as you normally see. I liked the huge selection of California wines because it's funny how liquor stores here only stock plonk (Gallo, Gray Fox) and then a couple token high-enders, and very little in between. At Everything Wines, you're really spoiled for choice.

Speaking of spoiled, a trip to this place isn't complete without a visit to the "Vintages" room at the rear of the store. Here are the special bottles displayed on low-lit racks, including fine French champagnes and other pricey stuff. The vintages room also houses a big table for tastings and events. As might be expected, a staff member is always present in this section for assistance.

As others have noted, the store is privately owned, but the prices are on par with the BC liquor board prices. Which is to say, they're not the cheapest (if you come from Cali, you're going to be shocked, I reckon), but at least they're fair. To us, anyway.

To complete the experience, Everything Wine also offers wine-related gifts and products such as books, wine journals, wineglass charms, racks, corkscrews, and Riedel glassware. By the looks of things, they'll also put together gift baskets. Me want.

OK, this is one place everyone interested in a good wine selection should go. Not that it's the end all be all of wine, no; But, the monopoly held down by the British Columbia government has made good consumer selection hard to find. No that theirs nothing out there, but a private enterprise cannot compete with the BC liquor store prices. Until I found this little oasis of liquid. The prices are just as low but the selection is comparable and at times more affluent. Go check it out!!! Thanks for the ease "Everything Wine!"

Wow! Everything Wine lives up to its name! What a place. I could have spent hours perusing the shelf after shelf of different wines.  My friends and I stopped by for one of their free wine tastings on our way back from Ambleside Park. What a treat. The wines (from Liberty School Winery) were some I'd never tried before and the staff was very knowledgeable and patient with our questions. After the tasting we wondered around and enjoyed trying to find some interesting new wines to try. The staff was great about helping to point us in the right direction for our needs. Its a bit out of the way for me, but I have a feeling I'll be making the trek over to North Van more often when I'm in the mood for a little vino.

It is the only reason I go to North Vancouver. With a large portion of their stock specific to their stores I find producers and wines I never see in the other shops. They also have volume, when I go to other wine stores I hate the urge to buy it or it won't be there next week, at Everything Wine they don't buy by the case, so you know wine you see will be around for awhile and if they sell out fast they buy more. 4 Stars because I have to cross a bridge to get there ;)

Everything Wine is just as it says above the door.  Anything and everything you could possibly want from a wine shop.  I was pleasantly surprised by the service we received.  I have been searching for about half year for a wine that I tried in seattle and cant remember the name.  I have been in every wine shop from here to Timbucktoo trying to find it with no result.  The gentleman  that was helping us was more than willing to help us try and find out what it possibly could be.  He pulled out text books to help us discover what kind of grape it was.  What part of the world it came from.... even after all this he couldn't find the exact one we were looking for but he was able to determine our needs and showed us a few wines that would be similar to what we were looking for.  So needless to say we bought a bottle of his recommendation and are busting it open tonight.... hope he's on his game!
