i got their Groupons deal and got to get there with my sister who came from the States. We ordered crepes and they were the most amazing crepes ever! my sister is a crepe lover and she said she's never had such a lovely crepe before.
the lady was so friendly and nice. very patient with our questions and did an amazing job preparing our orders. the banana and strawberries were so fresh and the whole thing was so tasty that i could ve had dozens of them!!!
the place is so spacious and clean that u wanna just stay there for hours. there is also a WIFI service there too! i definitely recommend it to ppl who wanna treat themselves with good quality stuff. this place is WAYYYYYY better than cafe crepe we have in downtown.

Not sure why this was filtered but here is my original review from 10/29/11:

I just used my Groupon.  Though the food was good, the lacklustre service from the man was not worth the visit.  We got there about 1:50 PM and ordered two savoury crepes and a soup of the day and a coffee.  We did not get our crepes until 2:46 PM, nearly one hour later.  During that time, we waited patiently half an hour, and when they didn't bring our crepes, we asked them when it would be ready.  They told us we were next, but for the next twenty minutes, the guy continued bringing food to other customers who arrived after us.  I complained to the server/cashier, and he just shrugged and said they couldn't do anything as there were others he was serving. Well, there are so many other great cafes/bakeries around town, I will not waste my time here again.

Went in to check for vegan options. No crepes available for me. All have eggs and dairy in them. But they do gluten free.

    * Stick to what you do well *

I really like the original location of European Breads (http://www.yelp.ca/biz...) - their artisan Eastern European breads are very good.  Now they have opened up this crepe cafe location with offerings like lahmahjun, and let's just say I'm not a fan.

I love a good lahmahjun, but this was not one.  I received a lukewarm poorly seasoned and slightly soggy lahmahjun.  It was as if it had been baked a long time ago and then microwaved.  Blech.  Photo: http://www.yelp.ca/biz...

I haven't tried their breads at this location, but I assume they just ship them in so they are probably fine.  But nowadays you can find their breads at many markets around town as well, so that doesn't make this place special at all.

I wish they would stick to what they do well, and not tempt me with tall tales of lahmahjun!

Ordered the chicken, mozzarella, spinach panini. The lady behind the counter was friendly and cheerful corrected her request for "_____ and 75 dollars"

The portion size is average. My panini came out quickly enough with a deliciously crispy shell, mixture of light and dark chicken meat and adequate amount of mozza. The panini was topped with fresh dill which was a nice touch.

I'll come back and try their crepes sometime.

A nice start for a new business.

Always looking for new food options near work and crepes always excite that kid inside of me. In what might be the most modest location with the most modest decor you will find, hidden away in what used to be a massive aquarium shop on Burrard, you will taste some sumptuous Crepes. Nope, these aren't the types you'll find at Cafe Crepe, which seem bland each and every time i eat more of them. These on are hearty and the options might surprise you. It's not as wide reaching of a menu as the one at La Bretagne in the West End but this short menu hits home. The big winner however are the breads. While its a cafe, it actually is housing a bakery in back that bakes fine artisan breads. Try one next time you go.

***Looking forward to a return trip!***

We were in Vancouver for an extended weekend from Seattle, and after having a wonderful lunch there on Saturday, we went back again before leaving on Sunday!  We had both savory and sweet crepes. The crepes were light, flavorful and satisfying, ingredients are fresh!  You have a choice of batters including a glutten-free choice! In addition to their menu items, there is a build-your-own option. We are having "crepe withdrawals" and our 12 yr. old is asking if we can go back soooooon!

The cafe has a strangely forlorn atmosphere for being on a main thoroughfare like Burrard. The salmon crepe was OK. Give them credit for using whole grains instead of white flour. Looks like a good place to get whole-grain breads.

We had vouchers for this restaurant and both of us had a panini, and both were delicious.  I actually took mine to go the second time and ate it about 2 hours later on the plane, and it tasted better than it did warm!

The only compaints are the length of time it takes for the food, 15 minutes or so, and they didn't arrive at the same time.  The other thing I found odd was that it's called a cafe but didn't open until 11 am on Saturday.  I walked all the way up there from Denman and Davie figuring it would be open for breakfast but I was over an hour early, so ended up going elsewhere for breakfast and had lunch there instead.  Yup, next time I'll check the hours of operation but I figured this would be a no brainer!

I had a groupon for two crepes or two panini sandwiches, and my fiance and I chose the sandwiches (he picked the chicken and spinach one, I picked the salami and mushrooms). The chicken one seemed rather dry, and the salami one made me feel a little queasy with the mixture of sauces and cheese.

The bread itself was nice, but considering the food and the service (which was really quite bad - the guy behind the counter didn't smile once throughout our entire stay), I don't think I'd go again.

I love really good bread and I had imagined this place would be overlflowing with the company's  many types of bread, when it at last opened its doors today after the pet supply store moved and then its subequent cleansing after a short stint as the campaign office of a local politician. In fact there is an oddly empty central space, with no sign or scent of any baking going on in the back.  There are only a few tables on one side of the room and a few shelves with bread on the other side. The bread is in the signature European Breads opaque plastic bags which is exactly the way they look  in any of the food stores around the city that sell it.  I had expected to see it unwrapped behind the counter.  The front counter is where crepes are made to order and coffee is prepared.  The challah looked tempting as did the poppy seed slices. I noticed rice muffins in the front case.  I hope they provide ceramic cups for coffee and tea because the people who were there to sit and eat were using papers ones. There were also savoury items like meat or vegetable samosas and sausage rolls.  I was disappointed that there were no rolls but bought a tasty "tiny baguette".   All in all,  more sterile than warm but maybe that will change.

All is good here!! and despite another review saying otherwise. They do have gluten free goods here. Everything is freshly baked and all ingredients can be read (no chemicals with long names) so don't expect your loaf to last as long as a Safeway loaf that has preservatives added.
