Review from Alick L.

I was just passing by but that sign about the bubble tea floats cought my eye. I figure I should give it a go since I been meaning to try a float that not a&w.
I ordered a red bean icecream float. At first I though it was your basic red bean ice drink, after the first taste I was amazed. They manage to blend the drink perfectly so you get all the flavors in every spoonful. The ice cream is just plan ice cream nothing special.
I would try this place again they got like over 30 different flavors to choose from.
this place is Cash only like most places in aberdeen Mall.
This place going to my best random place of the week list. -

Estea has more unique choices like soya pudding (tofu hua) served cold with your choice of toppings. It tastes like a mix between pudding and Asian sweet soy milk, but it's not too sweet. If you get it with taro, you get actual chunks of taro (but it's kind of tricky to eat in the cup with a straw).
Another good one is the black sesame slush, which is creamy with lots of black sesame flavor but isn't too sweet, either.
They also have Calpis drinks, fruit slushes, and ice cream floats.
It's on the pricier side (at least ~$4 per drink), but you it's good for more specialty drinks. Cash only. -

Craving for some BBT after lunch at Chef Hung, we ventured to the food court. Came upon Estea.
They have quite a bit of selection, and a whole section of Calpis drinks. I settle on a Strawberry Calpis slush. It was ready in a couple of minutes.
Verdict: The slush consistency was good, and the drink had the goodness of calpis, but the strawberry flavour was too artificial and too sweet. Nevertheless, I still finished my drink. No pearls in my drink so can't comment on it.
A convenient location for quick BBT, but willing to try out something else. -

Oh, how we've missed tapioca milk tea since moving to Dallas from the SF Bay Area! I know, I know, Dallas has tapioca milk tea, but exploring and sampling milk tea in search of tastiness is just not the same as going to a place you've been to before and know will be good. So, it makes perfect sense that we finally get some boba in Richmond, BC!
Wifey and I shared a plain Milk Tea with tapioca. The milk tea was deliciously sweet, while the tapioca was the right consistency, soft and chewy, not hard. Our only complaint was that the tapioca itself was not sweet.
I suppose we should search for tapioca milk tea in Dallas, but maybe we can hold out until the next time we're in Richmond! -

Tapioca! I tried their mango tea with tapioca... and was hoping for so much more.. the drink itself wasn't bad... it was okay.. but the tapioca was hard.... and blah! I really tried and tried to give the tapioca a chance... but I ended up just drinking the mango tea & tossing the tapioca... This may be a personal preference.. but I tend to like my tapioca a little softer and easier to chew....

Of course, cash only. But one sip into my honey green tea with pearls and I was stoked! I need to remember to ask for less ice - because no matter what I do, my ice to drink ratio is reminiscent of a stingy Starbucks iced tea. Same goes for the pearl to tea ratio = my first bubble tea I've had where I'm searching, yearning for that last pearl.
"So, what's this green jelly," I asked The answer was shown to me in a bucket of muck. Needless to say, I'm sure it's much tastier than it appears... but I declined.
What would have been a solid three star turned four for the fantastic tea. Can you have a smile on your face and drink tea through a large straw at the same time? You betcha!Listed in: Next Stop, Aberdeen Centre, Bubble Teas Please

This is found inside the food court of the Aberdeen Centre. What is that you say? You serve both powdered and real taro pearl milk tea??!! Well then I'll get the real stuff. Their regular size cup is the bay area version of the large size cup. o_0 The people here must love to drink. One sip-- refreshing. It's so good and there are bits of taro pieces to bite on. Not overly sweet and all you taste is taro delighfulness. The pearls are chewy.
I also tried black sesame peanut milk tea--i was thirsty and it sounds yummy. Seems like an odd combo however that was amazingly good. The sesame left my mouth slighty gritty(in a good way), the peanuts were there to bit on and the milk tea quenched my thirst. Both drinks cost me 9 canadian dollars.Listed in: Taro milk tea

Their honey green tea with tapioca is great!!! I visited them early this year and I just can't forget!!! Their honey green tea actually uses real honey, even my hubby loves it. We came here on the last night of our visit so I bought a second cup before I left to drink on our drive back to WA.
I'm going to Canada again this week so I can't wait!!! -

Had the opportunity to try this place out for dinner one night and was sorely disappointed. The food quality is average for "coffee shop" fare, but the drink was too sweet and they use milk powder a little too liberally. However, the thing that really stood out and irked us was the total lack of service. The wait staff are poorly trained and aloof. Despite being seriously overstaffed (we counted 4 waitresses and 2 drink mixers behind the counter for maybe 10 tables at 8pm on a Saturday night), the waitstaff were just standing around, looking at some kind of scheduling roster, and generally being unattentive. Our order took about 5 minutes to be taken, 20 minutes to arrive, and even longer to clear. Our check had to be asked for twice, and it arrived something like 5 minutes later. Generally poor place and nothing like the competition in the area. Steer clear. Not recommended.
