Love this store! I suggest anyone out there looking for affordable fashion to check this place out. Everything from $20 dollar items to $200- something for everyone!

"Let me see your bum"
Usually I make them buy me dinner first.
This is from my new friend CLARK, and what a time I had at ESPY. Colleagues of mine have been strutting around the office in ESPY wear and raving of its service. I popped in after work today to use up my 39$ for 100$ towards jeans Groupon before it expired. What a treat. What a flipping yippity yelpity doo da treat it was.
I was greeted by Clark right away and immediately taken over to the jeans. He asked me what type I usually wear and what I was looking for. And like a 1960's Batman series, Bam Pow Zap! I was in jeans that I was in love with. How did they do that... it's like they're in my mind.. and helping me avoid muffin top.... weird.
Clark is honest, tells it like it is, and won't tell you what you want to hear just to get you out the door in jeans that don't suit you. Do you want to be told you look amazing when you have dimple butt syndrome or do you want to be told to go fish and onto the next pair? Exactly, then Clark's for you. He isn't rude, he just lays it out as ye or ne. There is another associate helping us, quiet, helpful and nodding. Love it. And then MORE associates pop out of the woodwork "That looks great on you" "Here are some boots to try on" . Who are these NINJAS?! There is one ninja in particular who put me in a Desigual jacket. Ughhhh white and hot for spring . Done! Next!
The ninjas are putting me in jean jackets, belts, necklaces and then I realize. I'm in a mini fashion show. But I worry "What the crap are they going to make me buy? Because if I come home with all of this, I'm on the couch until 2017". There was no pressure. They're professionals. They know you're not going to love everything, but they just want you to see how you feel in it.
The clothes vary in price and style. It was love or hate, too much or can't believe it's that cheap. Very random. Without even knowing the price, I preferred some items and they ended up being the less expensive ones! They carry Desigual from Spain which I LURVVV, and that can be quite pricey, but you'll be admired when you're wearing it for sure.
Make sure you try on something even if it looks MOT TO TROT on the hanger. Trust me, it'll look better on. And if it doesn't, the lovely people of ESPY will let you know you're not at you're full hotness potential. But in a good way! The kind of criticism your husband won't give you because he has no idea what he's talking about.
Come to ESPY, have a great time with ESPY. Leave with pieces you love and new friends. I can't wait to go back.. but maybe in like.. months and months.. I hate the dog house... -

This was my first visit to Espy's and I have been so excited to go since many of my friends are major, major Espy fans.
Espy's was having a Black Friday sale commencing at 7am that morning so up I got, bright and early with my coffee, bailey's and good pal, Espy's pro, Al! We were there before the store opened and just before the major crowds arrived!
While I know one of the major selling features of this store is the customer service you receive, I'll have to go back on a non-mad-dash-to-shop day to experience this. My only comments are around the store and the products, since that's all I could really focus on this early in the morning.
I loved the lines of clothes they carry and their prices are quite reasonable as well. I'd consider this store comparable to something you'd find on a trendy street in Vancouver! The store is very efficiently laid out and kept nice and clean. There is lots of parking near by and it's really easy to find!
I can't wait to go back and experience what the staff are known best for: making people look good!
Definitely worth checking out.Listed in: Places That Make You Feel…

What can I say about Megan, Ashley, Clark and the rest of the gang at Espy other than: THEY ARE AMAZING!
Such a refreshing store to walk into, the service, the banter, the awesome selection of clothing that's unique and different. Very well priced too.
I've been shopping there since not long after they opened and now the majority of my closet is filled with items I've purchased there. I've never had so many random people stop me in the street to say: "hey nice shirt!, where did you get it?" as I have from shopping there.
The fact that they give back to the community through Naked Espy is amazing as well. Such an outpouring of support and people giving generously. Beats growing a cheesy mustache in November any day.
Do check it out, tell them I said hi. And guys, try not to crush too hard on the stylists... swoon

This store is addictive! Once you start looking uniquely...you can't stop wanting it...The concept of affordable designer clothing and accesories is not new, but what's different at Espy it is the approach: all ladies are honest about what you wear and select clothes based on what looks really good on you and not what the price tag is (unfortunate tendency in most stores), but because of that they have very loyal clients. "Beauty Head to Toe" that's how you can describe your Espy experience: clothes, shoes, accessories, skin care, make-up (private label!) and professional advice. Gift Certificates are also available.
Jeans...well the right stop! Properly selected jeans make all the difference during the Stampede season!
One more thing Espy offers to the clients: Closet intervention- show them what you have and ladies will chnge you into a stylish diva!
And if you want to give a really interesting gift- private shopping experience with only you and your friends in the store and professional stylists assisting you! -

I was recommended to Espy by several friends and had seen lots of positive feedback for them on Twitter. I knew their prices were a bit higher, which was ok, but thought that I would wait until I had a special occasion to go shop there.
This past weekend I went in with my roommate to find something to wear for my birthday which was in two days. I went in with a lot of expectations and high hopes, since I had been told they were amazing stylists and I would find lots of things that I liked.
The experience started off well enough, the store was cute and relatively quiet. I knew the stylist from seeing her around twitter and she was the one who frequently styled my friend. I told her that I was open to ideas, but that I was hoping for new jeans and maybe a funky top.
This is where the visit started to go downhill. After telling me how they were the "jean fit experts" and how they had so many styles in store I was shown a pair of skinny jeans that everyone apparently loves. I commented that I wasn't really a big fan of jeans with metal buttons on the ass because I didn't enjoy the way it felt to sit on buttons there.
She said she understood, that many people had said that, and then proceeded to ask me about Mavi jeans. Now I love jeans, and have over the years tried on lots of styles. Mavi were huge when I was in high school, and though I have tried many times they never seem to sit properly on my waist and hip ratio. I told her this but agreed to try them on anyways.
Needless to say I tried on about a dozen types of jeans (all Mavi but two) and half a dozen tops. Each time I would try to explain why the top wasn't my style or why the pants didn't fit and I felt like my concerns were dismissed. Finally I was so frustrated I gave up.
Trying to be diplomatic I said maybe the store just wasn't my style, that I like colour and slimmer fitting things. One of the stylists remarked that maybe I should shop at Forever 21. That was the last straw for me
I came to the store hoping to find some great pieces for my wardrobe and instead left feeling frustrated and insulted just because I didn't like the things they thought I would look great in. To me a good customer service is working with your customers style, not trying to force a style upon them.
I'm sure they have great clothes, apparently they were just very low on stock while I was there as they were gearing up for a sample sale, and I'm sure for some people the stylists are great.
As for me, I will not be shopping there in future, there are plenty of other boutique clothing stores in Calgary that offer similar designer brands that I have had better experiences at. -

Shopping at Espy is like walking into a store and already having your best gal pals waiting to shop with you. You know the gal pals I'm talking about. The ones who's opinions you trust, they'll tell you straight up what they think and you love them all the more for it. The girls at Espy are like that. They're super nice, cheerful and friendly, and they're not going to tell you something looks good when it doesn't.
Today, Shelby and Kaitlin (or Caitlyn, Kaitlyn, Katelin, Caitlin...?) were helping me find a dress for a 50s themed wedding I'm heading to in August. I was in earlier this week while an older woman was in the store looking for the same thing, which reminded that I hadn't bought my dress yet-I wonder if we'll be at the same wedding? At any rate, I came in this afternoon with that exact purpose. Try on dresses, see what there was.
After I had explained a bit of what I was looking for, the girls looked me up and down so very briefly and proceeded to find me sizes and styles. From that quick glance, they knew what would fit. Ladies, methinks you've done this once or twice before! Not only that, I don't think I lifted a finger and soon a dressing room was filled with 8 or 9 dresses for me to try on.
We expect good servers at a restaurant to know what's on the menu and to be able to tell us what goes into a dish, well, the gals today were like them, except for clothing. They know their product and where to find it, they know what goes into a great experience and they deliver on both counts. At one point, Shelby came back to the dressing rooms after serving a customer up front and said "Sorry! I saw the green dress, I haven't missed anything else, have I?" She wanted to ensure she saw each outfit to help me make the best choice.
Did I find a dress? Oh yes, in fact, I found 3 that were delightful. We even had me all dressed up in one with a pair of shoes picked out, and a cute little flower for my hair. But in the end, one light turquoise floral pattern wrap dress won out. As much as I wanted to come home the the pair of uber comfortable wedges Kaitlin also found for me, those will have to wait for another day.
Thanks Espy, it truly was an espy-cial experience. See you again! -

What an amazing experience. I'm happy to have found Espy and make it my new favourite place to shop in Calgary.
For those of you who think you can't afford to go boutique shopping, let Espy change your mind.
For those of you who think you can't fit into clothes at boutiques, let Espy change your mind.
The gals who work at Espy are enthusiastic, knowledgeable and clever when it comes to putting together outfits for you. You walk into the store and you have a stylist attached to you for your entire visit.
I can envision spending hundreds of dollars at a time and walking out with five or six new outfits. They'll show what goes with what, how to mix things up and make sure everything is a good fit and looks great.
I love Espy.

Accidently brushed upon this store while checking out Nectar Desserts across the street. The shop was a flurry with activity, seems it was closed for the evening but they were getting ready for Xmas night in Inglewood which will be tomorrow November the 19th.
Although store was closed they were very pleased to have us come in and browse their wares. I was so surprised that every single item both men and women's clothing was amazing. Being involved in the fashion industry in Mexico before moving here I was like what the &^%$%$##? I couldn't believe my eyes; clothing had avant garde design, was very fast forward and in luxurious fabrics and appealing colors.
The prices are a little upper end but not what I would expect from what I saw in this store, items could have easily been priced double.
There are actually only 4 staff members who work there, but there is such good energy in this store, that friends agreed to come and help the folks at Espy out.
Megan who was obviously the manager knows her merch inside and out. She was incredibly friendly and so on her game around styling and mixing and matching. She claims she can dress any body type that comes into the store and make them look fabulous. She was such a kind, attentive and convincing salesperson that of course we walked out with a great short set.
If anyone wants to step up their wardrobe and add pieces from high end exclusive designers from North America and the UK, definitely come here. This is one of the best shops I have seen in Calgary for fashion inventory with reasonable pricing and excellent sales staff.Listed in: Fashionista List

I've only been to Espy once and it was during this trip that I ended up finding my favourite sweater ever.
It was during Inglewood's SunFest, so the store was packed. But they had enough staff on to make sure everyone had some help. Whenever I go shopping by myself, I always get frustrated because I can't tell if the clothes look good or not. And quite frankly, I don't care if I think it looks good, I care if YOU think it looks good.
Like I do in any store, I weaseled my way back to the sales rack and began looking through the clothes. I immediately found two Penguin sweaters and couldn't decide which one I liked more. They were both 50% off but they looked so much alike, I couldn't justify buying both.
Cue mini-fashion show for Espy staff.
They were great and we had a lot of fun. Of course I was motivated by the live DJ playing in the store's Bay window. We found the sweater I wanted and I'm actually wearing it right this very second. To be fair, I'm always wearing it.
I could see how some people might be turned off by their prices, but as long as you know that you are buying quality clothes and supporting an independent business, isn't that worth the extra few dollars? And if all else fails, just wait for the sale. -

Well I have to admit I have been to Espy a couple of times now each time it has been very different but all in good ways. The ladies there are so down to earth but ... how can I put this ... I love to shop at the higher end stores because I love the one on one service you get but this place it never seems to matter even if they are busy they still make you feel like "you matter". This is a store with such a "girl friend" atmosphere. The huge difference between them and lets say a Holt Renfrew is they look at you with an eye for you and what you need not hey buy this because my commission cheque will be great if you spend $500 on this top. I don't know they aren't intimidating the are all different shapes and sizes and the thing I noticed more about the bathroom was the absolutely hilarious sign that makes a joke about accessories rather than diets. Gotta love that!
I read a few other reviews and the one about the joint I don't know the owners or staff there personally but I can't imagine a successful bunch of business women not having found out who in fact was the "culprit" and had their way with them. LOL.... maybe they either opened their eyes up to the fact that you don't have to be doing that to look great ... who knows but I am not fussed and wouldn't have been about that but really I am sure that isn't the norm around there.
I do like to form my own opinion. I do feel that sometimes when a person looses weight for instance or changes their hair style that you get something new and it is a new fit for your new body or a new look for your hair that you tend to think that you should dress the same as you did when you were heavy or lighter or do your hair the same way. Well with going to Espy you can have that unbiased opinion and know that they pride themselves on making you feel good because they don't want you to leave the store and feel the same they want you to feel different , unique and most of all sexy and I guarantee that if you go with what they suggest and you get some other opinions you will be sure to be fully thrilled with the results. Lets face it gals our friends don't always want to be completely honest or okay lets be really honest do they have the fashion know how or do they run a successful boutique .. chances are no they don't.
Good luck ladies who own Espy you have a great thing going and I am thrilled to have walked down the strip and discovered your store. -

espy is a good place to go for someone who's not sure what they want, or maybe doesn't like shopping. the owner is essentially stacy from 'what not to wear.' i went in and tried a couple of things on, and she said she had a dress coming in that would suit me. she picked up on my style immediately and she's essentially size psychic. she knows what will fit and look good. the clothing is good quality. the one i bought was cotton. i wore it to a party and was accosted by people demanding to know where i found it.
