A Portuguese immigrant family owns and operates this little shop. They have been serving me custard tarts and espresso coffee for a couple years now and I happy that they are in Hamilton and I live in Toronto. Otherwise I would have died from repeated gorging on their sweet sweet pastries. I will always take a dozen tarts to go and re-heat them with a dash of cinnamon and serve with espresso at home, morning, noon or night.
They have their own brand of home made jelly, spreads, jams, marmalades, sauces, and sell an eclectic mix of other bake-wares, teas, trinkets, foods, breads, and stuff.
The business owners are a very sweet and welcoming couple very happy to give you samples of the new creations.
12-billion stars for the tarts! I wish I could keep cramming them down my pie-hole but alas that would tremendously impede my quality of life. I would get so fat that I would have such a strong gravitational pull and eventually I would collapse unto myself.
