I am from Quebec city.... now i live in Montreal. I've tried most of the higher end sushi places and nothing compares to Enzo. A close second in montreal would be Sho-Dan..... but all their sushi has tuna in it which gets to be a lot when you're at your 4th roll. Also, Enzo is about 4$ less per roll.
Can I just say......AMAZING. I go there every time I'm in quebec. Their specialty sushi is not on the menu, to get it you must take the 5 course chefs menu to try try them. But after going a few time you get to know the specials and you don't have to take the "menu de degustation".
Im going to spoil the secret and let you know my favourites (I don't know if the spelling is right).
1st is the Geisha..... a tuna, soy paper roll with a basil sauce..... OMG insane.....
2nd- Rose- spicy soy paper roll with mango. Don't know much about it but well worth it
3rd- Rioux- roll with a sea urchin sauce.
4th-Shogun- Shrimp tempura roll with a ginger sauce. caution: sauce tastes a lot like ginger.... if you don't like it stay away
5th- Sakura- A nice roll with a teriyaki sauce. kinda sweet
*Whats special about these rolls is that they are served lukewarm, not the traditional cold..... very yummy.
* if you do order the 5 course menu, ask to change the last roll. its usually the Enzo roll. Its deep fried and doesn't taste very good.
Just let them know when you're ordering and they'll be happy to do it.
Another of my favourites is on the menu; the volcano
its a sweet potato fried in tempura with a topping of crab stick, cilantro, scallops and a whole bunch of goodness. Must try!
Don't forget to have a carafe of hot sake to go with your meal. Helps everything go down better :)

This is a hip looking sushi bar with a very trendy and sleek decor. They have the giant Buddhas, flat screen TVs, house music, dim lights -- you name it. Based on the ambiance, I'd say it's a good date spot if you're in the mood for some Japanese food.
Besides sushi, they also have the typical dishes commonly found at Japanese restaurants such as tempura, teriyaki chicken, salmon, etc. They had a chance to really impress me because they have karaage chicken (little pieces of deep fried chicken, Japanese-style), but that turned out to be a big joke. It was actually merely chicken strips in tempura batter, not what karaage is supposed to be. The taste was fine, but I wanted the real thing. The sushi was a big let down too. The fish didn't seem that fresh and I had a hard time tasting the tuna in my spicy tuna roll. Overall it wasn't bad, but nothing impressive. I'll stick to Yuzu Sushi next time. -

Probably one of the most underrated sushi spot. I've lived in Montreal, Toronto and New York and I'm a sushi lover so I know sushi and I've had sushi everywhere I've lived. Enzo is truly unique. No chance of a disappointment with their 5 services special. I've been their 3 times and was extremely impressed every single time. Nice ambiance, friendly and prompt service. The only downside is the crowd: I mean the place gets empty by 9:30! But then again it's Quebec. Put this restaurant in NYC and it's a smash!
