my first tym.. heard about it from work, i felt wax was needed, checkd with groupons and there it was! Kim took care of me, entire staff was very polite.& had chocolate covered strawberries while waiting!!
i gt scared about tht girl who said her thing gt burned.. but i took d risk coz i was on my way.. i continued readng, and ZM rebounded about her proven amazing xperience with d establishment for months!! that was a big relief!! whew
after Kim accmodating me so nicely, great price, and defnitely xpress service (fastest wax servce i ever gotten stil cnt believe it) +quality... Surely il come back.. hopefully ur grand reopening wil bring more blessings!! more power. -

After taking my first review down, here I am writing again. I just wanted to share my experience so I can spare others from having the same experience as mine.
... If you have sensitive skin (like me), don't go to Enviouskin. The type of wax they use here, as explained to me by the lady (whose name we shall conceal - she might call me again on my cellphone, LOL) that did my waxing, doesn't require powder or oil to be applied on your skin. I guess oil and powder helps prevent the wax to peel off the top layer of your skin, like i said, IF YOU HAVE SENSITIVE SKIN.
I left this place and didn't take me that long to realize that mine got peeled off. it Is definitely uncomfortable for a couple of days but not the worst waxing experience i had.
After reading my first review on this place and eventually asking to be taken down, the lady offered me a free waxing and complementary services because she felt bad. My answer still stands tall. NOT COMING BACK! -

Kim, the owner, is originally from Germany, and that's where she trained. For their licensing, it's three years of school -- much deeper and more intensive training than provided here in the U.S.
Kim's superior training shows in everything she does and I can't be the only one to notice; while many spas / personal treatment facilities have a revolving door of ownership, Kim has actually taken over the space next-door to expand her business! (Construction is in the final stages as I write this.)
Kim's detox facial was divine. From my hands to my scalp I was pampered and revived, glowing happy cheeks as evidence. My following visit was for an hour massage with Orlando and it was amazing. What I enjoyed about both Kim and Orlando is how they tell you what they will do and then ask, "is that okay?" I liked knowing my comfort - both physical and emotional - were a priority for them. Orlando is supremely gracious in his "handling" of limbs he keeps tabs on your satisfaction with the amount of pressure he uses. Afterwards he also gave me some pointers about the proper way to sit in front of a laptop.
I'm going back this week for another massage and I'm sending my man for one too! Another facial won't be long in coming either. -

I've been coming here for about a year now for my facials. Kim, the owner, is amazing!! She is super nice and helpful when you go for any treatments. The store is currently small, but they are expanding so by June or July of 2012, their spa will double in size.
As for my facial, I've done the pumpkin facial for my easily clogged pores. Also, I've gotten a couple of enzyme peels and Kim definitely makes sure you're doing alright and feeling relaxed and comfortable.
I'd definitely recommend the spa here for others! -

I love this Spa and I really love Haley!!!
I drive down from Los Angeles every six weeks to get my Brazilian done. Haley is totally worth the drive! I have very sensitive skin and she is quick and gentle, the best waxing I have ever had!

For years I have been getting facials and doing all kinds of treatments on my skin to deal with cystic acne and hyper pigmentation. I've spent thousand of dollars trying to improve my skin and nothing was working, until I started getting facials from Haley at Envious Skin. She has been the only esthetician that has truly been able to help me and has drastically improved the look of my skin. I highly recommend Haley to anyone. She is so nice and really cares about her clients.

Went here a couple weeks ago because I saw a Groupon Now deal. I called to make an appointment and they informed me that they have a first time client deal which is the same as the Groupon deal.
They were very flexible with my schedule because I had to call and cancel at the last minute and they were able to fit me in the next day at my desired time. I came to get a Brazilian Wax and they set me up with the Esthetician named Haley. She was friendly and quick. All great qualities that I really appreciated.
I noticed they were doing some construction and she apologized that I had to look up at a ceiling with exposed insulation and pipes because of their expansion. The wax took a total of 10-15 minutes which surprised me because they've taken much longer in the past. Haley did a good job at asking me questions to take my mind off the pain, but it didn't hurt too bad at all. Since my mother works in the same line of work I paid close attention to her sanitation and noticed she was using new sticks which is very important.
I really wanted to give them 5 stars but when I arrived home I noticed I still had a few hairs that could have easily been plucked. In the past although my waxes may have taken longer they have been completely thorough. I recommend them to maybe take a couple more minutes (maybe even seconds!) to check or pluck and strays so that the client will leave flawless and excited to return!
Overall though great experience; recommended for waxing. -

HORRIBLE!!!! Yes I said it horrible....how mentally challenged some yelp-ers seem to be!!!! If you don't like something why wait till you go home to complain....and instead of complaining to the business you complain on Yelp?? For what? Free stuff would be my guess!!!! Anyways!
I went to enviousskin just to pick up product and ended up getting sucked in by Kim. She was so super nice when showing me product that I signed up for a scrub, massage, and waxing. I was able to get an appointment for the next day. I met with Orlando he was excellent. Honestly best massage ever!!! I hurt but I asked for it!!! He knows how to work out those sore knots we all have. I loved that he talks but knows when to let you just relax and enjoy the massage. By the way his elbows were not scratchy, and he did not seem hurried at all. (who cares about scratchy elbows anyways?) The wax was fast fun and relatively painless. (I did not see her double-dipping, she was clean fast and made me laugh the whole time) Checking out was even fun :) Seriously you have to go in the staff is fun friendly and knowledgable.
Warning: no I did not have cucumber or lemon slices but they did say that they would have a cup lined with gold made and engraved just for me lol jk. -

FANTASTIC! Let me start out by saying this review is coming from a guy. I know a lot of guys think that going to a day spa is for women only. So not true once you read on. If you care about looking good and taking care of your body then Envious Skin is the place for you both men and women. I have been going to see Orlando and Kim at Envious for over a year now for my massage by Orlando and my skin care by Kim. I can't begin to tell you what a change they have made for me.
Orlando gives the best deep tissue massages contoured for those playing sports or weight training. He knows how to get in there and get those muscles back to feeling good again. I went in one day with a terrible migraine headache and not wanting to cancel I went in anyways. Halfway through my massage my Migraine was gone and by the end I felt back to normal. That has never happened to me in my entire life to have a bad migraine go away that fast. Shocking. Another time, I had hurt my shoulder while trying to lift a heavy piece of furniture on my own (dumb mistake) and saw Orlando the next day. He was able to undue all the terrible pain I was going through. No matter what issues I bring him he always has a way to undue my pain from weight lifting and running.
Then there is Kim who I think must be Heidi Klum's much younger sister. Her skin is amazing and she is very beautiful! I came to her with adult acne issues and lot of scars from my teen years. Within a year the monthly acne breakouts have gone and the scars are mostly gone through the varied monthly treatments she has performed on my face. I am so amazed at how great my skin looks! She is so knowledgeable about skin issues and how to get your skin looking young and fresh again.
Kim, Orlando and all the staff there are fantastic. I always feel so welcomed there. The atmosphere is very relaxing and they provide you with all the detailed information regarding treatments. I will say it is not the cheapest out there, but this is truly the case of you get what you pay for. Yes, you can find cheaper, but that's what you get cheaper. Pay the little extra for the best care out there. Your skin and body will definitely thank you. -

I wanted to give Enviouskin 5 stars, I really did... but I just wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I did.
I took a "me" day off of work and scheduled the Harmony Package - a massage, facial and eye treatment. I was the first appt of the day and was graciously greeted by Paige and the receptionist. The spa is nice enough - good location, was able to park right in front and didn't have any issues getting an appt. However, just to set everyone's expectations - it is tiny, tiny, tiny. Not a big deal as long as it's a good use of space, which it's not bad, but size is sometimes important.
My facial was pretty good - I felt fairly relaxed and my skin is in good shape after it. Once that was done, I vacated the room for a couple minutes so Orlando could prep for my massage - both services were done in the same room. He gave a good massage although he seemed to be in a hurry. He moved very quickly the entire time which didn't lend itself to much deep relaxation. Also - he used his forearms a lot and they were a little scratchy, which was a super distraction.
Overall - here is my pro/con list:
Cons:
- spa is so tiny that if the phone rings, another client is in the spa, or even if a bus drives by outside, you can hear it in the treatment room. no bueno if you're looking to really enjoy your time.
- there aren't any blinds/shades on the large front window... walking out from a darkened room into full day sunshine is not overly pleasant. I needed my sunglasses while I was still inside.
- there were bags of garbage in the shower in the restroom. I'm guessing the shower must be prearranged and isn't included in normal services.
- I never got my eye treatment that was supposed to be included in my package - and I didn't realize it until I got home... and my eyes needed it!
- water is served in paper dixie cups. you know, the little ones you used to use in the bathroom after you brushed your teeth. (I would suggest classing this up a little... buy some clear plastic cups, use a water pitcher instead of the large water cooler in the corner and cut up some cucumbers or lemons as a garnish. It will really be noticed by your clients!)
Pros:
- services were done on time (but how many spas actually go long, right?)
- reasonable prices
- good selection of makeup/facial products for purchase
Ultimately, I'm not entirely sure I'll go back. There are SO many spas to choose from that because my Cons list was larger than my Pros list, I think I can do better. It has great potential if some slight adjustments are made - especially the noise level.

Kim has done wonders with promoting Enviouskin. Came here initially from a Yelp coupon for a $30 Brazilian and am still coming by when its time for a touch-up. It's a small space but they're in the works of expanding to the unit next door.
Now that they're getting more popular, they've stopped with all the promotions. Still keeping an eye out for those Brazilian specials! -

So...I went in with a groupon for a Brazillian wax and was beyond pleasantly surprised! I have and will continue to get waxed here! Hayley is amazing, personable and performs the FASTEST wax ever! I have been to many other waxing places in the area that do not remove all the hair nor are they as pleasant as the staff here!
They had me at first wax!
Oh, and they have three parking places right in front for guests, so you don't have to stress before your wax! -

Great place to get pampered, Kim and her staff are wonderful.
Stopped by today to get waxed AGAIN and check out the new expansion, very nice. I like to read other reviews and it sounds like there are a few whiney be-yaches on here, Are you sure your vajayjay wasn't already burnt, REALLY.? Sounds like your a group-on-poop-on give me a discount so I can STILL complain and get more discount . If people want free stuff, wax yourself at home and leave hard working people to do the job they are professionally trained & paid for.
That's my what-what. I have been coming here for 3 years now, Always friendly, clean, professional and in a great hood. -

I saw a Groupon Now deal for a Brazilian wax Enviouskin, and after reading the reviews, I decided to try it out.
Let me start out by saying that after having a horrible waxing experience a couple of years ago, I was NOT eager to risk it again. This place was just wonderful - great staff, great experience - I'm no longer afraid! wahoo! Haley (not sure if that's how you spell it), was very friendly, professional, and QUICK! She talked the whole time to help distract from the pain and really did a good job in general. It hurt as little as a Brazilian can, and I was out the door in 15 minutes! Can't complain about that! I think she said that she had close to 30 waxes booked just that day...so that should tell you something about her reputation for doing a great job.
I can't say enough good things about this place. I will definitely be back. Thanks! -

I came here for Spa Week in October 2011. I first made an appointment for a facial. the place is super cute but very small--you can hear everything going on in the reception area.
i thought the front desk was very salesy--trying to upgrade my facial as soon as i walked in the door. I'm a sucker and added the eyebrow wax and microderm.
the facial itself was OK at best. she used the clarisonic,which was fine but i think they should be using something more upgraded than something that i already use at home. even after adding on the 2 extra services, i was still out of there in less than 55 minutes (including changing time) and my skin looked no different the next day. i was then pitched on makeup. again, salesy.
i was also upsold on buying a gift certificate for a future service. i initially wanted a facial but after the first one, they let me switch it to a massage. here again, it was just OK. I wanted him to pay attention to my shoulders as i work at a desk all day and they constantly bother me. he didn't spend any extra time there and his forearms were very rough. he again tried to upsell me to a 90 minute service.
nothing was horrible, it just wasn't worth coming back to. -

So I used a Yelp deal for the $19 Brazilian wax...
The location is very cute and clean. The front desk girls were very friendly and welcoming. Kim was very nice and professional. When I left I thought all was perfect however the next day I noticed there where a couple places where long stands of hair where left :/ If it was just a few hairs I wouldn't mind but there where many places that I found this, which is a problem to me. I wanted a wax so that wouldn't be an issue. Shaving at home for free may have been the better route :/ I'm sure my experience is different from others so it would be worth it to give Envioskin a try. -

I have been to a number of spas in San Diego and Enviouskin is absolutely fabulous! Haley has been my go-to-gal for Brazilian and eyebrow waxing since August of 2011 and I cannot say enough good things about her. She is gentle, efficient and incredibly pleasant. I am such a raving fan that I referred my sister and one of my very best friends. Both were thrilled with their experiences and have become regular customers since. My sister even drives down from the LA area for her appointments with Haley, which should show just how great she is. It is rare to have a perfect experience when getting a facial, but Enviouskin consistently provides one.
Kim, the owner, is from Germany and trained their where they take their spas very seriously. She, in turn, has trained her superb staff to provide the same level of excellence that Kim provides.
I treated my friend to a detox facial while I had the same in the next room. I chatted with Kim through my facial, although she is just as willing to give you silence if that is what makes the experience for you. I was just in a chatty mood today.
The facial was awesome and you would be "envious" of my skin. Kim also does my waxing and she does an excellent job at that too.
My experience was so good that I promised Kim I would be in at least every other month so long as I could possibly afford it. At $85 for an hour-long massage, I think my budget can accommodate bi-monthly visits.
She will be expanding into the space next door which gives her more parking spots. She has exquisite taste so I can't wait to see what she does with the space. Thanks, Kim, for another wonderful experience! -

I originally found them in the Reader a few years ago. They are one of the best places I have ever been to and very perfessional. I used to be a regular but unfortunately financial issues came up and couldn't keep going.
Kim is one of the sweetest people and certainly does care about her clients. Very clean and professional place.
Never had a bad experience & certainly miss going there esp. for some venting time. -

I was searching for a new place to get my Brazilians when I got an email with the Yelp deal of $19 for a Brazilian, I checked here, and saw it was extremely high rated, so I decided to give it a go.
This was only my 2nd Brazilian, and it's been almost a year since my last (deployment and such). Kim was extremely nice, talked me through the whole thing, and did a great job. It was really painfully since I unfortunately have coarse hair, and I've been shaving since my last Brazilian, but it was better than I expected. Kim did a great job, and I've already scheduled my next appointment!
I would highly recommend checking this place out. Everyone was friendly, the atmosphere is lovely (and definitely not super girly, which was a relief).
I'm going back for to get my brows done next week, not to mention my next Brazilian is scheduled in four weeks, so I'll probably be updating this soon! -

I went to this place on the recommendation of a good friend of mine, and now I love this place! I was nervous about scheduling a brazilian wax at a place I hadn't been to yet, so I tried the place out with a brow wax first, and totally loved it. I scheduled my next brow wax appointment and went ahead and scheduled a brazilian, too. Haley is sooo awesome! It was the fastest brazilian wax I've ever had, no girl wants to endure that kind of pain for too long, especially when you're pregnant and your skin is more sensitive. She kept me distracted by talking to me, which definitely helped keep my mind off of it. I'm going back for a facial tonight - they have an awesome Spa Week deal on a facial that I couldn't resist!
Some of the services are a little pricey, but every time I've gone, I've gotten some kind of discount (first-time, referral, spa week, etc). I also don't know why others complain about parking. They can only take 2 appointments at any given time, so I've never had to park on the street, I'm always parked right out front. -

I regret taking my original review down. I took it down after I got a phone call from Kim saying she wished I called her and relies on her reviews on yelp. It would turn business away... Etc... Offered a free facial.
I felt bad but after time has passed and the more I've educated myself about waxing, I need to leave this review because I don't want anyone else to have the same experience I had.
On top of not being able to enjoy my vacation in Palm Springs that weekend... I couldnt drink, couldnt get in the pool or hot tub... I got vaginitis from the anti biotics!! What a horrific experience just because I wanted to have waxed legs!!
A number of Estheticians that wax, educated me that the staph infection I got on my legs after getting Kim at Enviuos to wax my legs, is from DOUBLE DIPPING!! Kim offered for me to come back for a free leg wax 2 weeks later to test if I was allergic to the wax... NOPE, not allergic to the wax at all!

I've had no problem parking for service at Enviouskin. Street parking is available around the corner, or there are two parking spots out front.
My first visit was not as pleasant as I had hoped and I was in dire need of a waxing. Kim called me to speak to me about my experience. After, I definitely felt better!
There are those who care about their customers and those who don't. At Enviouskin, you will be made to feel welcomed and appreciated when you walk in. The staff takes a very personal interest in their customers. Kim cares, and that is very nice to see in a business owner. She is quick, and she does her best to make an uncomfortable experience bearable. And I have softer, smoother skin because if her. This makes me so HAPPY!
Much less painful than the first visit. I've had less regrowth and the hair is finer. I hope it stays that way!
A tip, in case you are new to waxing--it's going to hurt more the week before your period, schedule for the week after. And prior to your appointment, take a Tylenol or Motrin to reduce inflammation.
See you there! Maybe you can bling your underthing for some added spice in the boudoir! I hear it's quite popular... -

I came here because I had a groupon for a Brazilian wax. Its a cute and cozy place, and they always make you feel welcomed. The staff is extra friendly, but not in an overwhelming kind of way. The wax itself was one of the better waxes I've experienced. Quick, thorough, comfortable, and very little pain. Haven't had other services here, but I would recommend this place for their Brazilians. They currently have a promotion going on--$25 for first time clients. This is a great deal, considering most Brazilians usually range $35-$40.
If you're lucky, you'll be able to park in one of their two parking spots, otherwise gotta look for street parking. -

I went in there for the first time and had a great experience!I bought the deal on Yelp so I only paid $19. Plus, I scheduled my next appointment and got 20% off of that! I got a brazilian from Kim (usually $45, I believe) . She was sweet and kept the conversation going to distract me from the pain. The place was clean & the service was fast. I'll be back in about 6 weeks :). They also offer massages here, which I am considering. There's only 2 or 3 spots in front of the place, but there's meter parking available.

LOVE. Every time I go in there I feel like family. Kim is AMAZING, and everyone else I've met have been awesome also. I love that they NEVER miss a reminder phone call before my appointments, and if I'm ever unable to make it in, they're always helpful with re-scheduling. They don't try to push any other treatments on you either, which is refreshing for a day spa... In fact, a few times Kim has even applied unexpected discounts because of specials going on that I never even knew about! So thoughtful, I'll never go anywhere else.

I would usually go to Natura, but I decided to try this place out since they had a Groupon promotion (2 waxes for $45 bucks!) I couldn't resist the deal. Plus, before I purchased the Groupon, I checked the reviews on Yelp to make sure it was worth it.
Luckily, when I visited, I was able to squeeze into one of the parking spots. They only have two available out front. Hailey was on time with my wax and she was so nice! She was also relieved that I was a previous waxer, so I had an idea what I was in for. They also have a special blend of wax that was created by the owner. Hailey told me about the promo for first time clients, which was $25; so I decided to take advantage of that promo and use my Groupon for the next two waxes. The place is cute, quaint and very cozy. -

I wanted to update this review to include Orlando's massages. I just got my first massage from him today (90 minute Lomi Lomi) and it was INCREDIBLE! The pressure was awesome and I felt very comfortable and left relaxed. I will definitely be re-booking with him. Great massage!

I walked by Enviouskin mid October and I decided to take advantage of their special: $50 for a facial. I book it for the following week. For me a facial is an indulgence, I do it once in a very while to relax. When I went in they were all very courteous, but from the very start they pushed for me to buy "adds on". OK, you have the option to say "no", but all the way through my facial, the lady who did my facial (I don not remember her name) talked about the products they have, their prices, whether they were on sale or not, more pricing, what I would have the option to buy (more $$$); in short the all experience felt like a sale's pitch from the time I walked into the spa till the time I walked out. A polite sale, but still a sale.
I was not able to relax and I did not appreciate the pushiness. I felt they did not care about my skin or my well being, I strongly felt they just cared for my money. I regret giving a generous tip without speaking up. I walked away $90 lighter and disappointed. To be fair they gave me some small samples to take home for free as a gift for being a first time costumer. Did not improve my impression of the spa. I will not go back, even if it is in my neighborhood. -

Having never had a facial before, I did not know what to expect. There were tough questions like "what do you wash your face with?" but the people asking them were salt-of-the-earth nice. So the experience was excellent.
I think. I mean, I've never done this before so I don't know. But I cannot imagine the experience getting any better.
The room was full of high-tech gadgets, many of which made noise, and a massage table. Done. Worth the price of admission right there. But it got better.
My Esthetician (I had to look that up) was Paige and she had the softest hands I've ever felt. She was so nice and so quiet and the things she did to my face, no woman has ever done before.
If I weren't taken I'd consider making her Paige Six (but only for the comedic effect). OK, so she steamed my face, then moved the steam off with a fan. Then I fell asleep.
There was lots of rubbing. Some tingling. A hot rock or three. I woke up holding two and had one under my neck -- and THAT was good.
I could get used to this. At the end it was close to $100 with tip, which she deserved, and worth every penny. My problem now is making sure to keep facials special so I don't get addicted.
That and not telling anyone. Those are my only two problems with Paige and EnviouSkin. -

This review is for a 90-minute hot stone massage by Orlando on a Sunday Morning in August 2011 :)
I bought a deal from http://spaweek.com for TWO-90 minute hot stone massage at $135... ahh-ma-zing deal!! I used one for myself and the other for another friend of mine who just gave birth.. I was sure she needed one ^_____^,
Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The girl at the front desk made sure that I parked on the complimentary parking spot in front of the store.. but I reminded her it was Sunday ;) so street parking was free..
Orlando have magic hands! I was relaxed soon after he started! I am usually a deep tissue kind of person and this was my first experience with hot stone massage. Orlando was kind enough to ask me what my preferences are.
There was only one reason why I knocked off one star.. I am so used to masseuses with the softest hands.. and I found that one small part of Orlando's arms is a little dry :( It only touches my back a very small portion of the time..
At the end of the day, I am still very happy with the massage :) -

I have only had waxing done here, and it's great for that. An added perk is that they have 2 parking spots right in front. If they didn't have their own spots, it would be tricky to find parking.
