Martha, the owner of the boutique needs to learn what it means to offer customer service and stand behind her product.  I purchased a pair of leotards by Desigaul in August when I was last in town.  The small is not a small-I am 110 lbs so I should be a small. I have purchased from this designer before.  Something is wrong with these-they come half way up my thighs.  I called the store and left a message-no-one ever called me back.  Martha was not willing to do anything.  Her attitude was this was 90 days ago, or exchange policy is 10 days-I am sure if someone had returned my call, she then would have said bad luck it took over 10 days to fed-ex them to Canada.  I understand being a small business owner, however do not tell me your manager returns calls.  Bad luck for me, with PST and GST, I think I paid $53 for these.  Martha your store is one I will not be stopping in again when I am in Ottawa.

I was recently pressured into buying a dress from this store. The sales associate would not take no for an answer. I was also misled into thinking that the alterations necessary would be an "easy fix" - they would not have been, according to my tailor. I left the store feeling bad about my purchase and exhausted from the harassment by the sales associate. The next day I tried to return the dress because I had been pressured and misled only to find out that they only did exchanges and store credit - they did not tell me this before I bought it. The manager then point to two tiny signs that are out of direct view. The manager smirked and said that she was sorry that I felt that I had been pressured - not that she was sorry that her employee had pressured me. She also told me that I always had the option to say no - I really didn't in such a cohesive environment. While I was trying to return the item, another woman commented that her mother had had a similar experience and had been pressured into buying an item. This is unethical business practice and something needs to be done. Don't shop here!
