Since opening its doors in 1982 Ends has dabbled in many areas, from a pseudo sporting goods store in the early 2000's offering assorted camping furniture, sleeping bags and flashlights to a makeshift kitchen emporium selling cookware ranging from odd shaped egg holders to dull knives, Ends has worn more hats than its eccentric owner/operator "Zoltzz."  Yet at it's heart Ends is quite possibly one of the finest discount clothing stores around.

Known for his omnipotent presence at the corner of Queen St. E.& Elmer Ave. "Zoltzz" has transformed Ends into a bona fide Queen St. E. landmark.  His powerful arms ripping apart freshly delivered boxes of garment dyed T-shirts and Admiral socks were a common sight during the late 90's and early 2000's.  One could only watch in awe as he displayed the unyielding confidence of a Five-Star General deploying his troops into battle every Saturday and Sunday morning.  He held a certain delicacy, as evidenced in his uncanny ability to haphazardly pile mountains of T-shirts and socks upon themselves, each table of clothes almost teetering to the ground with every touch yet somehow mysteriously avoiding collapse, which aptly describes the very establishment itself.

At times you may feel as if after entering Ends you may never exit. One needn't possess a vivid imagination in order to visualize falling prey to a wayward clothing rack or a pile of quadruple XLL T's falling upon your head and suffocating you to almost certain peril as you attempt to navigate uncertain terrain.  However this was what made Ends Ends.  You never knew what type of experience you may have when embarking upon a shopping adventure-for each experience at Ends was truly a unique odyssey.  For those willing to brave the Ends elements there can be gold at the end of the rainbow,  you just may have to slug it out with an unruly Leprechaun guarding first.

They've moved the designer stuff a few storefronts over, so Ends is more focussed on the men's and outerwear these days.  Still worth dropping by to find a bargain!

This place has a cult following among my mum and her friends.  Apparently they used to have the best clothes, knits, etc.  I've been in there a few times and they do have some good odds and ends, but I wouldn't bother to make the trip down here just to check it out.  If you need some plain tees, socks, or sweats then this is definitely the pace to go.
