Review from Jennifer P.
Edmonton, AB
This bar sits on such prime real estate, across the street from the stadium where hundreds of thousands of people flock for sporting events. Yet it doesn't do nearly as well as it could, because of the rough neighbourhood it's in. The End Zone, aptly named, is the last place I'd choose to drink. It's usually empty and attracts loiterers outside. I went there once briefly, and had chicken fingers, which were pretty good, but didn't stay long because the ambiance was lacking and the crowd made me nervous. The beer is cheap, but I'd rather get a coffee at McDonald's down the street than let down my guard at the Zone. One day when this neighbourhood is fully rejuvenated - and it's showing signs already with new condos going up - this bar will be renovated or bought and something better will thrive in its place. Until then, it's a no-go zone in my books.
