OK, OK, I've had the same experience as the other reviewer - the staff was 'unfriendly' and my shopping partner wanted to leave. Granted, they aren't the nicest at Empire, but I don't go there to make friends.
The selection of wallpapers is absolutely mind-blowing, and the prices in the well-stocked 'sale section' in back of the store are unbeatable. Look for 2 for 1 deals on already discounted wallpaper in plenty of patterns and styles.
Staff will gladly cut samples IF you ask them, so take a few pieces home before you commit.
Empire Papier Peint & Peinture is a shop after my own heart: Cheap, Fabulous and Cranky. -

Very nice selection of full-price wall coverings, a 2-for-1 section, and a rack of opened or end of line rolls for about 9.99-12.99
The woman working there, though, was not very friendly. The friend I was with wanted to leave.
They have plenty of books you can browse and special order, from retro to full-wall murals.
They also have paints and you can order fabrics. Worth a look if you want selection, but maybe not the warmest welcomes should be expected.
