I was there Sat. night with 3 other people.
Good service..good atmosphere.. good food...good wine...good time.
What more could we want?
We all said we would go back!
Sorry, none of us tried the desserts. We were too full. -

This is one of the better places to go for more upscale pub food. The lunch specials are particularly good value. The ambiance is more upscale though the prices are still in line with other pubs.
One thing I have noticed is that the food has declined a little bit as of late. It is still better than the other pubs in the area and hopefully it stays that way. I have been going here regularly since they opened and it never seems to be that busy. I hope this changes or we will lose one of the gems in Waterloo. -

I had dinner in a bigger group here on a Friday night. Service was quick, prompt, and pleasant. The pianist was also nice to listen to, although it did make talking a little difficult because the piano was quite loud. The food was good too. Everyone who got a seafood of some sort was very happy (my salmon was cooked to perfection even if the sauce was a little sweater than I would have preferred). The steak I gather was OK, but nothing to write home about. The Yorkshire pudding though - with a steak meal, was very well received. Overall good ambiance and I would definitely come back here again. A caveat though: the dessert wasn't all that great.
