Spectacular views of city, river, islands, and falls!
Stayed there 1 night, went to Toronto for a week, then returned for another night. The 2 rooms were slightly different with slightly different views, but both were spacious with spectacular views.
Room rate included; 2 free bar drinks & light snacks @ 4pm manager's reception; & breakfast @ the Keg Restaurant which had extensive offerings including a custom order eggs/omelette station.
Complaints... Parking Fees, either $20 or $30. We followed the advice to park at the casino next door. It is a 5 minute walk away. At the casino you pay when you leave. We left the next day. Paid only $5. WIFI Fee, for in-room use. Really, who wants to use their laptop in the lobby.
The casino next door is entertaining. It has expansive grounds with views of the river & falls. They have many restaurants, a food court, a buffet, shops, and live entertainment.
Would return to the Embassy Suites...wait a minute we did return! -

We had a really good stay here (1 night).
* Tip: Park at the casino next door for $10 *
Our room was fantastic, fit 6 people (2 beds + a sofabed) and we had a wicked view of the falls and a large jacuzzi in the bathroom.
The buffet breakfast the next morning (included in the cost) was surprisingly good with made to order omelettes. (Saving them from the fact that their regular scrambled looked like sponge bob square pants). I also enjoyed the grapefruit and the coffee was decent.
*Tip: If you think the omlette line is too long, get some food from the other section and eat it in that line up... my cousin and I finished plate 1 just in time for our omlettes to be ready... haha.
I don't think we missed out on much with the complementary free drinks/snacks from the Manager's 9th floor. (We checked in fairly late).
The wifi is not free, but we didn't need it anyway. I also noticed the 'free internet' computers in the lobby also always had people on them.
Would definitely stay here again. -

I like staying at Hilton brand hotels, because they are clean, modern and convenient.
Well, this embassy suites is only convenient. The room we had smelled like smoke even though it is non-smoking the room had not been renovated since converting, the floor was not vacuumed, and the staff did not want to give us the appropriate amount of drink tickets.
This hotel had one bright side...the best view of all the hotels. This hotel is literally right beside the Canadian horseshoe falls and the most conveniently located to the falls among all the hotels.
Unfortunately, I'll never stay here again...I'll stay next door at the Falls view Casino, which is like a mini-vegas hotel. -

I went to the Embassy Suites with my husband on the last Friday in January. We booked one of the package deals that included complimentary drinks on arrival, a gift certificate for dinner and complimentary breakfast.
We chose Embassy Suites for the price point and proximity to the falls. The view from our room was pretty important.
It all starts off with parking... first of all, it's only valet. To park on-site was $30 to park off-site was $20. We chose off-site because we wouldn't be needing our car until we checked out the next day. Our check-in was quick and the weekend rush was just starting.
The room met our expectations, a suite on the 28th floor with two queen beds and a jacuzzi and our view of the Horseshoe falls was great. We would have preferred a room with a single king bed, but those were all junior suites (a completely different price point). I found the room layout a little odd for two people, made it a lot of sense if there were three to five people. Both TVs in our room were old school CRT so we couldn't plug in our laptops to watch a show we had brought with us. As well, lack of wifi across the entire establishment was pretty disappointing. The decor was pretty basic.
We headed down to the "Manager's Reception" to claim our complimentary drinks. One alcoholic beverage each, unlimited soft drinks, and a few basic snacks (baby carrots, chips, candies) set out buffet style. Seems we arrived right on time because it soon got busy.
Based on our experience with this reception, we got the idea to reserve a spot for dinner at The Keg, but they don't take reservations. So we put our name on the list and got a pager and were told we would likely be paged in an hour to an hour and a half. The dinner was good and what you would expect from The Keg.
The next morning, we went to breakfast around 10 am. There was a pretty long queue to be seated, but it moved quickly. The waiter was friendly and attentive. Everyone is expected to pick up their own breakfast in room that is kind of like a cafeteria. A variety of food was available to choose from: fruit, cereal, bread, muffins, yogurt, pancakes, sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, home fries and french toast. You could also get your eggs made to order, but this was another queue to wait in that didn't move very quickly.
Overall, the price point was good and the room was what were expecting but all of the extras in the package deal felt very much like we were being moved along an assembly line. -

I see so many 4 star reviews that I'm scratching my head to the point that it's bleeding.
I stayed here on Boxing Day and it was a 4-star for about 5 minutes. I then went into my room and it was downhill from there. The view of the American side of the Falls is great ... I'm not complaining as I was in awe. The huge bathtub was great to go into especially to relax. But for $230/night, why were there only 5, 6 channels? In the 5, 6 include Omni programming... now if I spoke Punjabi, Polish, or Greek then it would be okay, but I don't.
Checking out was an ordeal! The Management Team was extremely unprofessional. Fighting with customers is a 'no no' in Hospitality 101.
I will never come back. -

Fantastic hotel.
Just stayed for 2 nights and had a nice visit. The room was incredible. It pays to belong to the Hilton Honors program. I am a top level Diamond member. Upon check-in I asked for a Diamond upgrade from the Falls View King suite we booked on-line. They put me in the Presidential Suite. The room was huge, a nice sitting area against a curved window looking down on Horseshoe falls, the fireplace going. It was great. A jacuzzi tub that seats 2 and a living room also with views of the falls.
They have a Starbucks in the lobby (nice), a KEG Steakhouse (didn't go) and a TGIF (expensive waste of money, $50 for 2 beers and an poorly cooked and presented appetizer sampler).
My only complaints - Poor TV channel selections, but who needs TV at Niagara Falls and forced valet parking - $30. -

This hotel always shines every time I stay but there are still flaws that still are a problem at this hotel. To start it off, the hotel decor is nice and colourful. The room was very spacious and neat. It had a jacuzzi and a nice shower. There is a wide variety of restaurants there like The Keg, TGIF and Starbucks that are located in the hotel. However the flaw that they seem to cannot fix is the service. The service is horrible and the new valet system is bad. I would recommend this for families or couples looking to enjoy Niagara Falls.

As Embassy Suites go-this is one of the best views you will ever have-just make sure your room has a FALLS VIEW!!!! As for everything else-Niagara Falls on the canada side is a big tourist trap where they try to shake you down. THis hotel falls into that category but - it's got an incredible view-and still a great hotel.

I just stayed here for two nights on a recent trip to Niagara Falls. It was one of the more peaceful and enjoyable stays I have had in some time. The room rate was $128.25 per night plus $20 per night for valet parking. As a previous reviewer stated, there is a charge for the internet; however, that was was known upfront and it isn't that uncommon. I did visit the business center, which was small but usable.
The hotel included a gift shop, The Keg restaurant and a Starbucks. The total of the bills was $411, but with the exchange rate, the total came in US $ 275. Not too bad - I have stayed at plenty of hotels that were more than $100 per night and not nearly this nice. The views from the hotel room are amazing - I was in room 3417 and provided a good view of the horseshoe falls. Open the window for nice relaxing sounds from the falls.
The size of the room was excellent - a large bed room with two beds, a living room with the couch, desk and chair. The bathroom was incredible - the shower was excellent. The water was actually hot. Turned on full hot and the bathroom quickly filled with steam.
The manager's reception from 3-11 includes two free alcoholic drinks per day and free snacks from 3-7. I missed the breakfast both days.
I would definitely come back and stay here the next time I am in Niagara Falls. -

We stayed here for 2 nights. The amenities were great. a suite was large enough for 6 adults and 2 children. and the hotel rooms have a spectacular view of the falls!
Free buffet breakfast is included with the hotel room. and eggs are cooked to order, great service and wait staff. And the view from the KEG (which is the restaurant on site) is amazing! corner view of the falls, wonderful view to wake up to. -

Great room with king size bed, jacuzzi tub, and great view of horseshoe fall. Offers free breakfast with lots to choose from.
Only couple of draw backs. For the price which was about $200 a night no WiFi and had to pay $15 a day parking. -
Review from Sandro K.
If you book a fall view room with jacuzzi you'll get compensated for the awfully busy lobby and breakfast area. There are not enough elevators. But at least the place was clean.

I have frequented this hotel for the past few New Years. We've always been lucky enough that we book through a friend's Diamond member card and every year we receive a few incentives. Basically it's just a gift basket with chocolate bars and candy and what not. I think everyone should get one seeing as how they charge a ridiculously inflated rate.
They were kind enough to upgrade us to a junior suite, which basically means we got a better view and a useless fireplace. Maybe a few more chairs to sit on.
There was really nothing that would stand out in my mind as to whether or not they gave exceptional service. We did get a continental breakfast which is always good. And it was cereal and muffins, it was hot cooked food, you could even customize your meal and let the cook know how you like your eggs. The server at breakfast was ridiculously nice, I mean honeslty she didn't have to be. But she was totally on the ball with bringing us coffees and juice and water and whatever else we needed/wanted.
The reason I give an extra star is because I left behind my outfit from New Years in the closet of the hotel room. This wasn't just any outfit, it was my brand new BCBG dress that I had bought specifically for the occassion. I didn't even realize I left it until hours later.
Luckily, I was staying an extra night in Niagara and called the hotel to see if they had found it. Well, they hadn't gotten anything yet. I was beyond freaking out. I couldn't sit through dinner and my leg was shaking uncontrollably (I hate when people do that). When finishing dinner I promptly went back to the hotel to see if they had it. After asking me a million questions about our room number and what the dress looked like she came out holding my garment bag complete with the dress inside! I was soo relieved. So the extra star goes to the maid service for not stealing my $500 dress! -

First of all there were lines up everywhere and the hotel was a zoo!!
when we first checked in, we were given a smoking room when we had booked a non-smoking one. So we had to have our room changed!!
In regards to the breakfast...we were given the breakfast in TGI Friday which was from 7-9:30 am!! Why the heck would I want to get up this early while on vacation?!!! Also the selection was terrible and the quality wasn't much better...
Our overall experience was really bad...the room wasn't clean, the furnitures are old, the carperting is really dirty!!
This was our third and last visit ever!! I would not return here even if it was for free!! -

'Twas my B's first time up to the Falls (and out of the US), so I wanted us to stay at just the right place for our mini vacation. I wanted to give him a prime location, a glorious view, a spacious suite, a bubbly jacuzzi and a romp in a king size bed (huwha!!). The Embassy Suites provided us all that.
I had been made aware prior to our arrival that they offered valet parking for 20 clams a night. That is a bit steep in my book, but I just wanted the car to be parked and not have to worry about it. However, parking just down the street at the Fallsview Casino is cheaper (10 a day methinks) or even free if you have a gambling addiction (a player's card). When we first pulled into the valet area it was quite busy as many other people were arriving at the same time. We waited about 5 minutes and then our car was whisked away.
The Embassy lobby is nice, clean, and user friendly. Check in was easy and I got to hear an awesome Canadian accent at the Concierge desk eh. Also, B forgot a toothbrush and the front desk staff gave us a brush and some paste for free.
There are a couple different elevator bays, based on which floor you are going to, and the wait for the elevator can be incredible. One morning we spent 10 minutes waiting for a vator and when one arrived the people on it made no effort to move and let us in. jerks. That one passed us by and we had to wait another five minutes. It was pretty silly.
Our room was great. The front room had a sleeper coach, desk, television and a shoe buffer that B was fascinated by. There was a tiny kitchen area with the mini bar/fridge and coffee maker. The bathroom was big. The toilet and shower had their own enclosed space. The jacuzzi and sink/vanity area took up the middle section of the suite and had a cut out that looked into the bedroom. We took a couple bubbly jacuzzi soaks and they were luscious. The king size bed was comfy and had about 300 pillows. There was a seating area with an electric fire place in front of the big glass windows that provided us our view of the Falls. The floor we were on was up in the 20's and we were at a slight angle, but we could see both the American and Canadian Falls. They looked awesome lit up at night.
Our two night package deal included buffet breakfast each morning, free drinks at the daily managers reception, unlimited shuttle bus rides and a 40 dollar dinner voucher. I think they have two sittings for the buffet breakfast and unfortunately we were given the early shift of 7-9 am. Somehow we managed to get up and drag ourselves down for some food. The buffet is held in the Keg restaurant which has great views, but it was tough to see with the sun blaring into our sleepy eyes. The food was good and the servers were all very friendly. We went to the manager's reception both nights for some snackies (carrots, spicy snack mix, pickles that tasted of bad breath the first night but then got better, banana chips, candy...) and beverages (shirley temple for me ;). We didn't use the free booze coupons, so B gave them to some random fellow who happily took them. We never used the shuttle bus because walking around was pretty easy with the location of this hotel. The food voucher was put to good use at the Keg Lounge located in the hotel.
Our two night mini-vacation with all that stuff cost me about 6 hundo Canadian. I think it was worth it for all that we got and the quality of the hotel. They keep sending me emails to lure us back.... -
Review from Will L.
I have been to this lovely establishment twice already. Once in November 2008 and again in October 2009. This place is great. The location is great, it is within walking distance to all the Falls and Clifton Hills. The staff have been very kind and friendly each and every single time. The room is cool too, it provides a nice living room/work area, a nice two person jacuzzi, a nice comfy bed and huge windows for your view. Both times, we requested the Falls view. The first time it was on the middle floors, probably like 13 or 15 (can't remember) and had a view of both the American and Canadian Falls. The second time around (Oct. '09), we had a room 'moved up' to the 24th floor. So I was like 'great', where do I sign!! But the Falls was more to an angle and was had a decent view of the green trees in front of us and that Konica tower next door. Beware! The best views of the Falls are probably the rooms that are right off the elevator, since I think they position to the middle of the building. And not the side rooms off of the elevator. Check before you take the keys.
The complimentary breakfast, drinks, and snacks were good too. We had breakfast at the Keg place. The view was great down there. There are however, too many kids running around unsupervised putting their bacteria invested paws on everywhere. The complimentary manager's desk/drink were good too. Had some draft beer, a shot of liquor and few house wines. Can't complain about free booze. Never had the snacks, so can't really say much.
The workout room was your typical hotel fitness center. It did had a bunch of dumbell from 5 lbs to 50 lbs, an adjustable bench press, a swiss ball, a few treadmills/eliptical machines, a tv, complimentary towels, and a water cooler. It is not too bad, but they could use some more machine weights. The pool is not too bad either, nice size. Didn't get a chance to jump in it this time, so don't remember if it was heated or not.
The packaged we got this time, it included a $60 gift card to Dave & Busters on Clifton Hills witch we gladly used. They did charge us $20 for parking per night (ouch!) to park my car in some lot a few blocks away and they could only take us there via shuttle bus.
Its also great that they have a 24 hour TGIF and Starbucks in the lobby. Just never know when they might come in hand at 3 in the morning. We also thought about taking some fancy wine tour that the tour desk offered. It was (I think) CAD 60+ per person for three winery and a stroll thru Niagara on the Lakes. It sounded very cool and all, however it was 60 freaking CAD per person and it lasted from 11am to 5 pm! I really didn't want my day to be all about wine and to spend 6 hours with a bunch of drunk tourist. I had to pass. So we decided to drive down the highway (QEW 420) and drive around some of the winery and see which ones did some tours. Off one of the exits, we ran into this winery and it said "VIsitors Welcome!". So it must be friendly. We parked, paid 5 CAD per person for an hour, had three sample of wines, and had a few more sample wines at their bar for about $1-$5 a glass. Bought a few take home bottle of wines with us and went back to the hotel. Learned a crap load about wines and sample about 5 or 6 different kinds of wines and only paid a fraction of what they tour desk was asking from us.
To conclude, this place is great. It have plenty of good stuff, food inside the hotel is good, location is great, and Falls Views is great (if you get a good room). Only wished that parking was complimentary or cheaper and that it had free Wi-Fi in all the rooms. (It's 2009!! even the freaking budget motels have wi-fi now!)
Definitely would stay here again but hopefully they can improve on those few things so I can give them a 5 next time. -

This hotel is really nice. We came during the off-season (that would be march) and didn't get a package. My roommate and I got a double queen room with a falls view (on floor 32) and a jacuzzi tub. The rooms were very nice. I have no complaints about the room at all. It's beautiful.
And the brunch! During the off season the brunch is not shifted, so you can drop in whenever you want (up to 11am). The brunch is great. And the manager's reception isn't too bad either (snacks served from 3:30pm to 7:30pm, including free juice and soda), along with the complimentary alcoholic beverage coupon you handed me when I checked in.
Here's my miff with this hotel. On the embassy suites website it clearly lists amenities at this hotel. Parking ($20/night), pool, gym, high-speed internet, wireless. So we get up to the room and I turn on my laptop, and there is no wireless... and I go... wtf? Then I suck it up, call the front desk, and ask for a cable. This kind of stinks because the cable hookup is in the interior room with no windows, but I only need to check my email and tell my mom I'm alive (Hi Mom!), so I can deal with it. So I plug in the cord, and try to check my email. And I get this handy-dandy page that tells me I can have internet if I pay THIRTEEN DOLLARS A DAY. Ok, ok, calm down. So I go down to the front desk, and I say, something along the lines of, omgomgomgomgomg why are you charging me for internet, and they say, no worries there is a business center where you can get online for free. So I go to the business center. For those of you who don't know, business center = closet with 3 computers and no air. So I pull up the embassy suites webpage. And it clearly says, hey, wifi, high speed net access, pool, gym, etc. So I go back to the desk and I say to the guy. So on your website it says amenities pool, gym, wifi, high speed internet access, parking (extra $20/night). It does not say pool, gym, wifi ($13/24 hour period, available only in the lobby and on floor 9), hi speed internet access (ANOTHER $13/24 hour period, in the room with no view), parking ($20/night).
The concierge's solution to my problem? Explaining to me that Embassy suites is too lazy to hire a network admin and has their internet provided by an outside company, who charges them so they have to charge us. Uh huh, sure, like you get that TV service (that I never turned on) for free.
Oi vei.
The freaking Days Inn can deliver on the wifi they promised me but you can't? No can do sir, never staying at your hotel chain again.
I don't like businesses that lie to me. I like it less when they lie to me, and don't offer anything to make up for it. -
Review from Liza M.
the 2 night Package we went with included (some descriptive info from their website):
-Complimentary buffet breakfast with cooked-to-order omelet station
breakfast was good. the lines were long. omelets were fresh and the best choice, lots of additions to choose from. sausage was just OK, bacon was good, homefries nice and crispy. assortment of cereals, breakfast pastries, yogurts and some fruit.
-$40 discount at The Keg Steakhouse & Bar overlooking Niagara Falls
-Manager's Reception with 2 Complimentary Alcoholic Beverages and snack buffet
this was great. not a lot of drink choices, just basic. nice snack buffet with veggies, dip, chips, snack mix, pretzels, etc.
-Casino Falls & Attraction Shuttle passes for 2 for use throughout stay
the shuttle was OK. it went a really long backwards way to get places though. we went on it once to just go down the hill to the falls and it took 20 minutes, which can be walked in a quicker amount of time! it stopped at the base of the falls, the casinos, and a couple of other hotels.
-Junior Presidential 2 Room Suite - large 2-Room Suite with a spectacular view of both the Horseshoe Falls and American Falls. 1 King bed and a large 2 person Whirlpool and Fireplace. The second room is a large living room with sofa bed and dining area.
the room was great. amazing view on the 30th floor. nice to sit in the chairs and look out on the falls. especially on the night of the fireworks. we had a great front row view of the show! bed was very comfortable. whirlpool tub was nice! the second room in the suite was really not used by us and was very separate from the rest of the room. really a waste and not needed but we weren't able to get a king bed with a view without choosing the suite. always very nice and clean, with a very comfortable bed. fridge and sink/mini bar area.
-the parking is the main gripe. when you pull up they offer you $20 or $30 valet service. the $20 one (which we went with) meant if you wanted your car between the hours of 7am - 1 pm you needed to take a shuttle bus to get it. we never took our car out of parking while we were there until we went to check out. they really should get your car for you when you check out. plus we thought it was $20 total, but it was $20 per night. such a rip off. there was cheaper parking within walking distance.
-the people at the front desk aren't the most helpful. I called and simply asked where the shuttle bus went, they told me the stops. then I asked how I could get to the American side of the falls and they replied take a cab!!! of course I didn't, I took out my map, took their shuttle bus to the closest stop to rainbow bridge and walked over. they didn't seem very willing to offer any advice other than what was convenient for them "take a cab".
-all in all the view alone made the price worth it, plus the breakfast, dinner credit, and manager's reception were nice touches. also the starbucks in the lobby!! -
Review from RICK J.
very clean, friendly, is expensive, you pay for every little thing. including internet. everything you need is here, good food, good drinks, you get free breakfast, free late day drinks and appetizers. rooms are huge and the view of the falls cant be beat. 2 tvs and doors to seperate rooms. large jacuzzi. AGAIN ITS VERY EXPENSIVE, AFTER ALL THE ADDITIONAL ADD ONS DONT EXPECT TO LEAVE WITH OUT BILL UNDER $400. TREAT YOURSELF AT LEAST ONCE,very quiet.
