Stayed here not terribly long ago, and although I am not big on back dating reviews, I felt sharing my experience may help others.

The hotel was huge, and also very busy. When you arrive there is an abundant amount of activity at the valet/front lobby area, and this is extremely confusing if you don't know the routine.

My suggestion on parking if you are staying more than 1 or 2 nights...park your car by the door but do not valet park, just tell them you need to check in (don't let them bully you). Bring all your luggage inside (the hotel will secure them for you until you get situated, they will on both ends of your stay), check into the hotel go back to your car and drive ONE block north, which is the casino situated right next door to the hotel, park your car in their parking lot, close to the south exit, and walk back to the Embassy which is just across the street from the exit.
At some point during your stay, go into the casino, sign up for their card, stick the card in the machine and gamble 20 dollars (only need to do it once)...and guess what....parking is validated...free...nada, zilch, zip, for the entire time you are parked there, and hey, you may win a little $$, I won $100!

As far as the hotel goes, there are NO hotels closer to the falls! The view is spectacular, and the place is really nice.
They offered a complementary snack meet and greet type of thing each day for 2 hours with chips and other snacks as well as a full bar, the only and main issues are the people who allow their kids to run amuck...man I hate those types of parents, I mean this is not play hour...take your brats to a motel 6 or something!

The complementary buffet breakfast was great as well, and if you look at the pictures that have been posted by others, you will see the view is really awesome and how close your really are. We got there just after 6 each morning just to watch the sun beaming through the mist of the falls.
The buffet was hot fresh and the wait staff were eager to help, and bring beverages. It does get busy quick, but going early alleviated that issue for us.

This hotel offered anything and everything one could want for an entertaining stay, including a large swimming pool (another place with unsupervised or overindulged kiddies were allowed to be out of control), a bar, a nice steak house, Starbucks and a TGI Fridays.

It is a bit from downtown, but they (the downtown area) isn't very close to the falls. There is a free shuttle that will take you to many stops around the city.

This was a great hotel, at a wonderful location with a great view.

The staff is very friendly, most are hometown kids, but the place is HUGE.  Be prepared to WAIT A LONG TIME FOR THE ELEVATORS as there are 42 floors.  Also, I head people loosing their minds when they checked in and didn't have a Falls View room......wow....

We were in room 3407 which had a Citi-view....I had called the GMs office to request a larger room since there was 5 of us and they took care of us....this is a GREAT room, lots of space, and it was QUIET.....very nice.

As mentioned, the waits for the elevator are painful.  They do have happy hour, but you will only get your one drink and the wine is horrible....and the area is packed.

We had dinner at the Keg (  ), and they serve breakfast the next morning in the same place.  Again, be prepared to wait for a table if you arrive at the "wrong" time, and the lines for the food are monster long...but all the wait staff were very friendly.

It is a very short walk to the train that takes you right down to the Canadian Horseshoe Falls.

At checkout it was at least a 40 minute wait for the friendly bellman to make it to the room.

Would I stay if I was paying.....probably not....I used my Hilton points.

Total - $33.90*  *valet parking, its $20 to self park

Great view from the room - among the best views I have seen from any room. Good location to the attractions. Large, comfortable rooms. Excellent showers with hot water - water that actually steams the room.

Cliff at the valet office provided good service and insight to the area. It was really cold, so I didn't use many of the attractions other than taking the incline rail down to the falls.

The hotel provides a TGI Friday that is open 24 hours a day, the Keg and a Starbucks. The managers reception is among the longest I have seen - 3:00-11:00. The snacks are served from 3:00-7:00, but the drinks flow until 11. Each room gets up to 2 alcoholic drinks. Sodas are unlimited.

I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in a royal suite and the view looking down into the falls from the ceiling to floor windows were awesome. Best seat in town! Very pricey but worth the view. jacuzzi hot tub, 3 TVs (which we didn't use) large, spacious living spaces with sitting ares, wet bar & a large comfortable bed. We watched the fireworks & light show from our room. Very Romantic.

I expected this hotel to be decent, but was unsatisfied.  We reserved a room with a view of the Horseshoe Falls, but our room was on the far left of the hotel, so our view was altered and a bit obscured.

Our room rate included a breakfast buffet, but it was possibly the worst breakfast I've ever had.  There were pre-made choices which tasted terrible, and cooked-to-order omelets which were a little better than average.  My family and I seriously feasted only on the omelets and toast.  The breakfast hours were also ridiculous - 9:30 to 11:00 am.  What about the people who wake up early and have breakfast at 5 am?  The hours were very inconvenient.

When we checked in, the concierge never mentioned about charging $25/extra person per night until the day we received the bill.  There is also no Wi-Fi available - at least not in our room.  Though, there is internet access in the computer room near the lobby with 3 computers (but they block certain websites, such as MySpace).  The walk from the hotel to Niagara Falls is also quite a bit of a distance.  I would not stay here again.

We stayed here mid-april and loved it! Check-in was 4pm...we arrived at 11:30 and asked if our room happened to be ready. It wasn't but they upgraded us to a junior suite on the 38th floor. The room overlooked both the horseshoe falls and American falls. It was absolutely gorgeous.

The hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The manager's reception was pretty lame, but the breakfast more than made up for it.
The ginormous tub also rocked. Plenty of room for two. In a matter of two days I took 4 jacuzzi baths. It was awesome.

We would definitely stay there again if we went back.

I enjoyed the three days I was here, the rooms are great.  When booking ask for a "fallsview room"  on or around the 17th floor.  You wake up to no sounds except the falls which is peaceful.  The bathrooms usually have a huge tub.  OH! and you get FREE breakfast for 3-days...with made to order omelets, Belgian waffles, pancakes, french toast.  Good deal.
