Went here to try it out after reading other reviews. Was not disappointed. You can pay much more for Greek food ( I have ) and not even come close to the quality here.
If you're down here in Osoyoos, do yourself a favor and try this place out.
Simply amazing!! -

We went to Ella 's based on reviews we read, but we were disappointed. Our dinner took a long time and our appetizer was served at the same time as our meal. The food was very mediocre, like the Greek food you find at a food court at the mall. At least at the mall, you don't have to wait and wait!
The meat was dry and the rice "pilaf" was just bland white rice. The tzaziki and humous were from big containers. Souvlaki dinners were about $14. It's a restaurant where you order at the counter and grab your own plastic cutlery and then the meals are served on paper plates, so it seemed pricey for what it was. The two young women cooking and running the till were kind of surly.
We won't be back. -

This place is very warm and cute. There is not much room inside, only a couple of tables, but there is also an outside seating area. There was not much people when we went in the winter time. Only the owner, Ella was working and she was really sweet. I got a gyro platter and it was really good. The spinach pies were delicious, they are made daily in the morning by Ella and they are served with tzatziki.
The restaurant is really comfortable, I could have stayed there all day! Definitely recommend! -

Who needs fast food when you can get a FABULOUS Greek home cooked meal on the fly?
We discovered this very very new little spot driving to our hotel on the main drag in Osoyoos. It is a teeny tiny place, mostly for take away, and has all of 4 tables for eating in. The patio however is so darned pleasant with a further 4 tables, we could have stayed all night.
The small Greek salad for $4.99 is better than I had in Santorini, and the chicken skewer was so moist and divine.
But my star system for Greek restaurants is on the Tzatziki factor. If they can't do that item well, then the other stuff isn't as shiny. At Ella, you get what the local crowd wants for Tzaziki, which is one step up from plain yogurt. We asked Graciella to mix us up some like she would make for her family. We had Tzatziki that I can still taste two days later, and it was FABULOUS!!!
If this place get s a liquor license and starts offering a bottle of Mythos with the meal, I might have to move to Osoyoos. To hell with the rattlesnakes. -

Ok with all of the good reviews we decided to try it out since it was close to where we were staying... and our experience was horrible!
The food was ok, a little expensive. We all got the chicken souvlaki, 3 of us got the wrap and one of use got the plate. However we all wanted to gyro meat wraps but were told that it wasn't ready because it was marinating. Which we found odd and disappointing because we went there at 1 in the afternoon and it's open for lunch! It made no sense but we were easy.
We decided to start with appetizer c that was supposed to come with all this stuff. And when it arrived it looked completely wrong, so we asked our server and she didn't know so she consulted the menu (not letting us see it again) and decided we got the right order. We just took it because again we are pretty easy. It wasn't until we went to pay that we really asked about it and were told that the hummas (that we didn't receive) was optional between that and the tatztiki but that wasn't offered to us anyway. And we noticed that it was missing things... but the lady at the register did not care.
So that brings me to what I really want to talk about. The service was so bad. I don't know if they were having an "off" day or what but our server would pretty much just throw things on the table, and walk away without asking if we needed anything. She didn't bring us our food, a man there did and he was very nice, the only thing I liked about our service. And then we weren't told how to pay, our server never came back so we went to the register and the lady there (I'm assuming she is the owner) was so rude. She wasn't even nice about the appetizer plate c and how it was wrong. We paid left like a 3% tip and left. I really wanted to go back and get our money back, but didn't. I will never go here again. -

Great little unpretentious greek place. The food was good, the owners were really nice, and the baklava was fresh and tasty. Definitely worth stopping for every time you are in Osoyoos!

Review from Debbie S.
We walked in moments before closing and were still treated as valued guests. She apologized for being out of certain chicken specialities, but when she heard we were vegetarian, she went out of her way to make some delicious platters for the whole family to share. Even if we hadn't been on the road and camping for 10 days, it would have been the best meal we'd had in a long time. She urged us to come back the next morning for another specialty that had sold out, but our schedule didn't allow. We all still think about this place and wish we could go back, even thought it's 1000 miles away.
