We found this place while on a dining tour in Whistler (check out the tours if you want to check out a few places at once)
This was the highlight of the tour and was so good my wife and I came back the next night to enjoy more of the food.
The menu is limited yet has enough to choose from (not a fan of places with too many items that it is dinner when I start reading and breakfast by the time I am done) and the quality of the food was breathtaking.
The wine list was great and this was the perfect place for a nice intimate dinner for two or maybe four.

Don't have dinner at this place once, have dinner here twice so you can sample many of the items on the menu

If you are avoiding carbs - WATCH OUT - the bread was mouthwatering!

Awesome place for breakfast or brunch! Had the french toast which was super-filling, we were stuffed for the rest of the morning even though we didn't finish our toast. The cinnamon butter which comes with the toast is smooth and rich, and the syrup has a subtle taste of coffee. Don't forget the cantaloupe juice shot they give you on the side to cleanse your palette ... it's delicious!

Also ordered a fruit salad on the side, which is a good idea to go with the heavy stacks of french toast. The fruit salad is dressed in a zesty lime dressing, a perfect tangy taste.

The restaurant is fairly small, but was packed when we visited, and I have a feeling this place rarely sees a quiet moment!

I had never had tapas before, so this was a pretty good way to start.

+ Menu options are delicious. Seriously, delicious. You will share them with anyone you're with because they're great.

~ Place can definitely get crowded/busy. We had a small table in the back.

    - Dishes are small and expensive. Yes, apparently that's how tapas works, but the food:price ratio was pretty low. And the restaurant isn't even on the "main street" in Whistler village, but it's still pricy. The restaurant seemed to be filled with "rich, dressed up" people instead of commoners.

This is my favorite secret spot for Whistler when it comes to breakfast.  I have been coming here off and on since it opened and they continually impress.  They have mastered putting a gourmet flare on traditional food.
Highly recommend checking out this  one.

Enjoyed a delish breakfast there on Tuesday morning, bright and early!  My girlfriend suggested the Green Tea Latte with Soy milk - MMMMmmmmm, so yummy!  I had the fresh fruit salad with Greek Yoghurt  - fresh blueberries, strawberries, pineapple and apple.  Perfect!

Delicious place for dinner. When I said that I was gluten-free they were helpful and accomodating. The wine was amazing! 2 dishes per person is plenty, but it is hard to narrow down the choices, so you'll probably end up over-eating like I did....definitely go for the lettuce cups...

Despite being the last to come out and looking rather ordinary, the mini lamb burgers were a bit of a revelation.  Overall I enjoyed the diversity of tastes - tomato and boca salad, scallops and a trotter cake, prawn lettuce wraps - all delicious and unexpectedly complimentary.  It was the lamb burgers that really made the meal and we'll certainly visit again!

Our favorite little spot in Whistler for breakfast or dinner. Tapas are great... 2 per person is perfect. Try the lettuce bowl, pig belly (yum!), duck, short ribs and bison. Yes, we went twice!  This is a place you can visit more than once on the same trip to enjoy all the choices!

My gf had booked 2 50$ food credits for here from a package that came with the hotel room. The first night we came here, it was a Saturday, and we were told there would be up to 45 m wait. We told them we were staying at the hotel and if they could just call us when there was a table available.

In about half an hour we got the call, and we went back down. The place seats about 40, and it was packed. Very loud and the seating wasn't very far apart. We both ordered the starburst 3oz martini . It was pretty yummy, but at $11 not worth having more then one each.

For tapas, we ordered Meat and cheese plate ( it was pretty small for the price but tasty) the signature Brushetta with meat ( it was burnt making it kinda hard to eat ) the Prawn and avocado  lettuce cups ( they were not bad but didn't have many prawns )

We also ordered a crab cake but it was sold out. We opted for something else - I can't really remember what it was. Our bill came to just over $75 minus our 50$ credit .

The second night we arrived way earlier. It was dead. So it was way less noisy and service was great.

We started off with double pom margaritas that were excellent.
Ordered the crab cakes that had been sold out the night before, the pork chop, the hamburger sliders, and the spinach salad. All in all the food was much better, not sure if it was our choices, or if it was because it was a Sunday and it was not busy. Again, our bill came to $77 less our 50$ credit.

For tapas, it was a bit pricy for what you get, however this is Whistler !

Coming back from a momentary Yelp hiatus!

Ahh, Elements is a hidden gem amid Whistler. I always bring my friends from Seattle and make them immediate believers.

My favorite dishes are the stuffed french toast and brie along with the eggs benedict (ham and crab are sure bets). Don't forget the London Fog (straight SCRUMPTIOUS). I ran across this marvelous venue when I was staying at the Summit Lodge and stumbled in for breakfast one day long ago. It has an amazing cozy French feel to it and is really memorable.

I have never had bad customer service here which is saying a lot. Perhaps because those dang Australians (Whistler expats) are just so great at customer service!

    Tips & Tricks:
    - You can park at the Marketplace parking (free for 2 hours), go behind it and cross the street. You'll see it attached to the Summit Lodge.
    - If there's at least 2 people get the french toast and brie and the eggs benedict and share it family style.
    - They are open for breakfast from 8am-2pm. I usually like to come after the peak around 10-11am and there's usually a short wait at that time.

Quality food, excellent atmosphere! No complaints! One thing that really stood out to me about this place was the service! Fun, friendly and a very attentive wait staff made the overall experience much more pleasurable. I hate to admit to this but we definitely stuffed our faces at this place. Too many tempting things on the menu to try! The goat cheese share plate and the caprese salad were by far our favorites. Granted I wasn't a huge fan of their version of a sushi roll, it wasn't bad. Just not to my taste preference. The share plates here are HUGE.share plates. They recommend two a person, we would have been fine with 3 total plates between the two of us and would have been stuffed (we ambitiously ordered 5 and struggled!).

We lucked out and they had 2 seats available at the bar and were seated right away. They do not take reservations. They operate on a first come first serve basis. Definitely check this place out!

Elements tini tiny tapas at entree size prices were hit and miss. Some creative and thoughfully prepared, while most just tasted ordinary and garnished on a plate. We ordered the cured beef with endives, seared tuna, and lamb with beets to name a few. They all tasted pretty expensive for their level of culinary skill (~$12-$15 each). The food was good, but not great enough to justify its price. This is not the place to come after a full day of outdoor activities in Whistler. For spending over $35 per person, we left to get burgers else where in the village.

The service seemed to spoil the experience. Although they did their job in bringing the food, but having the attitude like you are just there until time to clock out is unacceptable. The restaurant was only half full and its not a very big restaurant, but to get their attention was difficult because they are all hanging around the back.

Honestly we didn't started out looking for this restaurant, after all it was right in our hotel and we wanted something exotic and special. Well turn the clock ahead an hour after being turned away at the Araxi because they had a group function then other places just didn't look that good. Was it the planets aligning for us in Whistler that night, because we could not have been more pleased with everything that would follow at our little tapas restaurant.

We waited about 10 minutes to get seated as the place was packed. Everyone was laughing and having fun. We ordered the Summerland Pinot Noir that was amazing. We had 4 tapas that were all beautifully prepared and all tasted delicious. We were experts by the time 4 women sat down beside us and we were recommending. We were hearing their positive comments about all their tapas as well.

Our waiter was a real character and helped round out the evening with a non-Keg style, real human with a personality performance.

We had breakfast the next morning and everything was equally exceptional.

Being hungry in Whistler is easily solved, especially with Yelp in hand. We had a little trouble finding Elements since is was tucked in a hotel around a corner but of course, gps and friendly people in Whistler helped.

The restaurant was cozy and fit the feeling of Whistler quite nicely. However, something wasn't right. I know! It was our waitress who wasn't very pleasant and seemed to be in a hurry for us to order. When we say we need more time, I didn't think that meant 60 seconds. Also, after we ordered my friend couldn't get the mini chocolate latte off her mind, so we wanted to add that to the order. At first, it took a couple of tries to get our waitress' attention (the restaurant wasn't that busy either), but once we got it, she seemed almost irritated that we wanted to add something, asking "so is that everything, nothing else to add?". She is the first "grumpy" person I've met that works in Whistler. Period.

Anyway, not letting that phase us, we looked forward to the food. And the Albacore Tuna Sashimi Lettuce Cups I ordered did not disappoint at all. The lettuce was crispy and there was the right amount given. The tuna was perfectly seared on the edges and tasted fresh and soft. The vermicelli noodles were well-seasoned, carrots finely grated, bean sprouts crunched nicely with a full watery sprout taste and the nuts were toasted with a thin coating of sweetness. All wrapped up in the lettuce and topped with the sweet sauce provided a solar flare of mixed yummy goodness in my mouth.

Mid-way through the meal our waitress changed, I guess the other one finished her shift. So, in the end, we left with full, satisfied bellies and pleasant service. Hooray!

This was my husband's and my first dinner on our honeymoon at Whistler and, even after several other delicious meals that week, Elements was still my favorite. The service was quite attentive as well though we went on the early side, so it wasn't very busy yet.

Everything was interestingly flavored and the ingredients were perfectly proportioned to each other. We had the pork lettuce cups, an ahi tuna dish, a gnocchi dish, and another seafood dish which I can't remember (some kind of scallop and prawn cake?). Those four dishes plus 2 beers, a glass of wine, and tip were $80 and we left very satiated.

The shiitake and scallop cakes are not to be missed, and the Chocolate with melted salt caramel sauce was just crazy.

I heard about this place from a Whistler local. This place is SO hidden, I would've never found it if it wasn't pointed out to me.

I went there for brunch, and it was a VERY busy place, and filled up quickly. The servers were attentive and knowledgeable about their menu but seemed a bit rushed.

I ordered the Pork Lettuce Cups, and Eggs Benedict with Dungeness Crabmeat, Citrus Hollandaise, with Duck Sausage on the side. Both dishes were delicious and did not disappoint. There house coffee was aromatic, loved the cups they came in, and the perfect sugar cubes on the side. I also had a mint chocolate tea which was nothing special.

I would definitely go back and try other dishes on their menu. =)

My wife and I headed to this place for Drinks and Dinner on our Anniversary. We arrived at 6pm and noticed that table were full. The server (who didn't even smile or offer to take our coats) asked if we would like to sit at the bar until a table became available. We were fine with that - I mentioned that it was our wedding anniversary and that we would like a table but that we were happy. We sat down, removed our jackets and ordered a drink. We were happy all was going well.

After 20mins two people got up and vacated a table. We asked the server if it was possible for us to sit down at that point. She mentioned that she would need to ask the manager/owner. We were a bit puzzled by this. She came back and said that it wasn't possible as this was a four person table as opposed to a two person table. At that point three people arrived and they sat them at that table. I just couldn't believe it.

We paid for our drinks and went the Tratoria who were absolutely fantastic. When they learned it was our wedding anniversary they comped us a glass of Champagne each. In hind sight this is not a happy place. All the servers seemed pretty down and the atmosphere was not great. Kind of polar opposite to our Trat experience.

We will never go back or recommend this restaurant, who so blatantly put profits ahead of people.

I've been here twice now, both for brunch, and the food has always been really great. The little smoothie that comes with the breakfasts is awesome. The menu has some really nice brunch options -from stuffed french toast to your classic eggs&bacon.

The only reason this place lost a star was because our server was... well.. mean. She was crabby and unpleasant and had an abrupt tone. The place was packed (it always is) so I can understand her stress, but if you don't like people, maybe don't work in a people-facing job. (/rant over).

    Breakfast here rocks, end of.

Compares unfavorably to Vancouver's Bin 942. Elements has a dark and dated interior; dinner service was unfathomably glacial, though reasonably friendly. The menu was creative but the execution just wasn't as exciting as the descriptions; nothing was as good as I'd hoped it would be. The bruschetta came out like more of a cheesy-bread -- non-traditional but not an improvement. Maybe we hit it on an off night...

Not a bad choice for a less expensive option in Whistler Village, but I wouldn't return if it were anywhere else.

Tapas. If you have an average appetite like me, it's not the style of cuisine that you usually go for, as it usually results in spending oodles of $$ just to get reasonably full. Luckily Elements Urban Tapas delivers into your belly and not into your wallet.

As we waited for a table, we sat at the cozy bar, right at the kitchen. We started with their cream of asparagus soup which was topped with shredded Parmesan cheese (I think). Smooth, creamy and loaded with flavour, this was one of the best soups I've had.

Next up, the pank crusted goat cheese 'balls' with citrus salad and probably the best beets I've ever had. Adding a great texture was some toasted walnuts with a balsamic reduction sauce.

Seeing numerous tables order the lettuce wrap, we went with the tuna sashimi with tobiko. The 4 tuna pieces were a little small, but the noodles and veggie toppings with roasted cashews made a great mix.

Last was the peas and ricotta gnocchi. Wow. I not huge on peas anything but these were darn good, and very filling.

Only 4 tapas and stuffed for only $34, this is what tapas should be.

Elements was great! Even though our server recommended 8 tapas for 4 people, we got 6 and actually felt like we would have been fine with 5. The lettuce cups with tofu were great, as were the artichoke hearts. My carnivores tell me that the braised beef was perfect.

I was pleasantly surprised to find such better-than-mediocre food in Whistler.

Great kinda local place in touristy town and I think I know their pain being from another ski town.
The food was good and being able to sit at the bar and watch the cooks cook was a treat, they treated the food well.
My only comment ( negative) is watching the bartender pouring wine back in the bottle after being in a glass, not sure what to make of that.

Everything here is wonderful!!  We tried to beat the dinner rush and got there just in time to snag the last table for two on a Saturday night.  I ordered their "spicaeh" caesar and it came with a wedge of lime and green bean, served in a nice tall glass.  I would've loved a celery stalk as well but the caesar itself was very flavourful!

Our server explained the portion sizes and concept to us, and service throughout the evening continued to be really prompt and just the right amount of attentive, even though we had about three different servers throughout the night.  We shared the mini burgers, the tempura artichokes and the lettuce cups with hoisin pork.  My absolute favourite were the burgers, which had a great smokey flavour and were perfectly pink in the middle.  Delicious!!  I'm not normally a fan of artichokes but the tempura artichokes were filled with gouda and goat cheese (I think) and topped with sundried tomatoes.  It was a great texture!  We finished off with their maple brulee, which was a very generous portion and we were unable to eat all of it between two of us (not for lack of trying!).

Between two of us, we had four drinks, three tapas and dessert, and the bill was about $75 before tip.  Not bad at all considering the variety and quality of food you get, and how full you will be!!

    Amazing!

Just what I needed after a long car ride, we decided to stop by for lunch. We took a quick glance at the menu, and knew immediately that we needed to try this place.

A cozy restaurant that seats about 40 people, it has an open kitchen and hints of dark wood. They serve their breakfast until 2pm, and a lunch menu available as well.

Their breakfast menu had lots of choices-all different kinds of frittatas, benedicts, and french toasts (honey ham and brie stuffed French toast!)

Too many choices but we finally decided on a couple of lunch items:

Lettuce Cups:crunchy baby iceberg lettuce, julienne vegetables, seasoned rice noodles, soy roasted cashews, and Nuoc-cham dipping sauce-we got this with the avocado and prawn option.I believe this is one of their signature dishes. Presentation was nice, but there were a lack of prawns (only 2 prawns, sliced lengthwise in half.) Lettuce and veggies were fresh, and the soy roasted cashews added that perfect crunch to it.

Panko crusted Goat Cheese, with beetroot carpaccio, with pecans and balsamic reduction. Mmmm. Loved this dish! It was like a deconstructed salad, with 2 goat cheese balls. It was perfectly crispy, the goat cheese was smooth and flavourful, and the beetroots-loved them with the balsamic on top!

Peas & ricotta gnocchi, with truffle oil. Rich, and cheesy, this was very filling.

Blackened beef sliders, with pablano spread, tomatoes and goat cheese. Made fresh to order, the kick from the pablano spread and goat cheese made this burger stand out.

All the food was hot, just like it should be. Bursting with flavours, and good portions.

Service was very good. Water glasses were filled many times, and that one time I asked the waitress to bring water, she poured my glass, and she also brought me a glass of ice. How thoughtful.

I looked at their dinner menu. Even more goodness!! I think I just might be back very soon.....

This is a must if you're in Whistler for breakfast. I made a big mistake once and ordered a savoury brekkie over their amazing-looking French toast. This toast comes stacked sky high with berries, banana, maple syrup, and cream. Or if you're less of a sweet tooth you'd enjoy their Brie and ham stuffed toast.

Only a small hole-in-the-wall place, Elements can be hard to find, so be sure you get really good directions before you set out on your adventure in the cold. But it's worth the search, and the wait if there is one (which there usually is).

This is absolutely my most favourite breakfast place in Whistler. I think they might do lunch and/or dinner too as there is a small bar you can sit at where they serve alcohol.

A local secret that is slowly getting divulged.

Elements has been a local favourite since the day they opened, if ever in doubt of where to go on a casual night, somewhere relaxed, good vibe, go to Elements.

I tend to make my way their for brunch most times as there is such a mass of choice for dinner in Whistler. However, if looking for a chill place to meet a bunch of friends for dinner pre-party, perfect... or even a laid back night with the man. Anyways, back to brekkie.

I am not an adventurous breakfast eater, I always have the traditional eggs benedict which are always good so I can't think of a reason to eat anything else- if it was bad I'd kick myself. The eggs are perfect, that just cooked yolk, the benny sauce is creamy and not overly slathered on. They give you this deep friend potato thing covered in sour cream, I fell there is no need to say more. Also a shot of something red, liquid, I always drink it, I have no idea what it is. If I start to sprout purple hairs  in nether regions I will make sure to yelp.

I vicariously watch other people's plates laden with stuffed french toast and super creative Bennys with crab, sun dried tomatoes, spinach and it always looks amazingly good and plates are always empty. If you don't take it from me, take it from the plates scraped clean that the food is hearty and filling.

Dinner I have had their prawns, yum. Their skewers, yum too, especially with something alcoholic. Have had other things but can't remember, remember nothing bad which is a plus+++

I am always parked at the bar, I have no idea if they take resos, and whenever I get there, it's always full and I end up at the bar. But, I also always have the same Aussie blond server who's just cheerful and punchy and has great personality, I think I would miss him if he wasn't there. At the bar you can also watch the ladies in their odd little black hats make all your food and rest assured there are no stray hairs or bodily fluids going where they should not.

The only word of advice is, don't go if you don't like small spaces, friendly people, or a wait. Not good for kids if you are uptight. Not good if you want romance and quiet. I have never been there where I have not run into someone I know.  Not a good spot for an affair.

    Elements is the shizzzniiiiiittt

My friend and I decided to come here since we saw the reviews are all good in Yelp. And it is!

This place is located at Summit Lodge, just across the street from Marketplace Iga. Its a pretty small restaurant with a really nice ambient.

We ordered the Dried Boconccini Bruschetta and Grilled Portabello Mushrooms. They were fantastic, the sauce is very tangy and tasty. Portion was generous. And ultimately, price is actually CHEAP!!! AWESOMENESS!!! Well, one dish costs around $10-15, but considering the quality of the food and the portion for a tapas meal, that is actually cheap, for reaallzzz dude.

Service was friendly, and was adequately fast. I really recommend this place for those who love to eat fine food at a cheap price!

So I was in Whistler for the film fest last weekend.

Started by myself but was joined for some Saturday night hi(gh)-jinks at the Bearfoot Bistro by two buddies.

Next morning we were in search for some serious hangover food.

Of course my buddy O'Connor wanted to go to A&W or something like that, I had to stand up in defense of a real SIT DOWN breakfast unique to Whistler.

No probs...I yelped up a suggestion and whaddaya know...Elements.

The sunday morning lineup was to be expected...how awesome this place was going to be, was not.

after about 20 mins we sat at the bar and watched all of the action take place on the grill right in front of our eyes.

The coffee was great and came in the perfect cup....and yes that matters.

The salmon benny I ordered hit the spot.  Good sized portion with lots of love.  One friend was left still wanting a little more but some guys definitely have a quantity over quality mentality when it comes to eating out.

I ordered a side of bacon and it was so thick and juicy...one of the best I have had.

If you like your breakfast original, artisan and local then go here...just be sure to throw on a fake aussie accent and grow your facial hair out a bit so you blend in.
