2.5 but rounds up to 3 cause of the view. And what a view!
Came here for a late lunch and nabbed a window-side table overlooking the edge of the Horseshoe Falls. All of the window tables were full and maybe a handful of interior tables were occupied. Needless to say, this is very touristy.
Service was timely. Do not expect spectacular food. I had the Elements Rainbow Chicken Salad, which exceeded my expectations. The fruit was fresh! And the grapes were so good! The chicken was moist and the vinaigrette tasty. Friend had the Smoked Ontario Turkey Breast Ciabatta which both looked and tasted dry.
I think this is the closest dining experience you can get. Given the higher prices for not stellar food, would not eat here if I couldn't sit right by the window.Listed in: Toronto, eh?

-If GOOD FOOD is what you are looking for, WRONG PLACE!
-If you're looking for a GOOD VALUE, WRONG PLACE!
-If you're looking for a GOOD VIEW, GREAT PLACE!
Went there for lunch. The table and view were amazing, service was good, but the food was THE BIGGEST RIP OFF!!! Wow!!!
I don't mind paying a high price for what u get, BUT I certainly didn't get good food! It was BELOW STANDARD! The Clam Chowder was good, but it was prob out of a can. The Cajun Chicken Sandwich was horrible, and at a price of $18.75 WOW!! Penne Carbonara was even worse!!
All I expected was the food to be at a STANDARD, and at that price it SHOULD of been!!
I feel totally Ripped off!!
But at least the view & drinks were good... -

My sister and I decided to try Elements instead of one of the dirty kiosks downstairs as an escape from the crowds and screaming kids. We arrived around opening time, and had to wait in a line to be seated. Apparently, the high prices didn't dissuade enough families from the place. We sat in the bar area, and our service was good.
We enjoyed our drinks (sangria with fresh berries that we both tried somewhat unsuccessfully to fish out with our straws) and entrees were good. Not worth the price, but tasty. Desserts were especially impressive. For two drinks, a Caesar salad, a pasta dish, and two desserts, our bill came to about $70. At lunch.
Come for the view. Try not to blow an entire paycheck on one meal. -

Worst service I've ever gotten.
So, my friends and I walk in looking for a nice place to get a good cup of Irish coffee.
Lured by the view, we stumbled upon this place to be greeted by a nice lady who seated us right next to the panoramic window. It was around 2pm and there were only two or three other tables with people which probably explains why we got good seats.
We opened opened our menus with excitement and were then approached by the rudest waitress ever. She scoffed when we told her we weren't ready with out order and kept pacing around the table. Upon inquiry, we found out that they don't have soy milk and only offer 2%. Those who are lactose intolerant are out of luck. (Thus one of my friends ended up getting tea).
My other friend and I got one Irish coffee and another Italian.
Both of the coffees tasted like instant coffees spiked with cheap alcohol. I don't know if my expectations of amaretto are unreasonably too high but I don't think it should taste anything like dilute Vitali.
The Irish coffee was also topped with *warm* whipped cream (how weird was that?!) and arrived at our table half spilled on the doily plate under the clear goblet.
The waitress continued to pace around the table, flung the bill at us 10 minutes into our coffee break and loomed over until she saw us pay.
Keep in mind, it's not like there was a line out the door full of people waiting to get in and paying $20 for 2 cups of coffee and a mug of tea, i think we deserved a little privacy. -

Where do I begin? The short of it: avoid this place, the food is terrible, the service is worse. The only redeeming quality to that establishment is the location.
We were three couples with our children - 3 children in total - taking a break for a light dinner. Our children have been to restaurants before and understand proper manners; however, the same is not true for the restaurant crew.
The service - The welcome crew were not welcoming at all. We stood at the front for a while until the staffer figured out that they could accommodate our group in their largely empty restaurant. He didn't check with anyone or leave the desk, just stood there looking indifferent at a piece of paper. He might have been a bar staffer, but he certainly seemed like a fish out of water.
When we were brought to our table, the view was fantastic and for a while, I thought perhaps that person at the entrance was just having a bad day...until our waitress arrived. She looked like she had an even worse day and was planing to take it out on us. We weren't given enough menus; she was snappy, unhelpfully, and rude. After begrudgingly taking our order, our drinks and food arrived...instantly.
The food - the food's temperature, taste, texture and presentation were all tragically flawed. I honestly have never tasted food this bad.
Firstly, this food was not prepared when we ordered it. The pasta was cold, everything else was luke warm, including my "fresh" pineapple juice.
Secondly, everything had a horrible aftertaste. The vegetable spring rolls tasted like they were fried in fish oil. Avoid the shrimp as well as most of their entrees.
I would love to go on, but there's really no point. Just do yourself and your family a favor and find another place to eat. -

Ok, well obviously this place is very touristy, which is generally something I don't enjoy. I give it three stars for the view and my food. The Mac and cheese, while not phenomenal, was very tasty but not worth the price tag.

That whole other star is for the view. Otherwise, this place is really only two stars! Food was woefully plain at a view price. Taste was not an option. The burger I had was rather without any. The salad was ok only because the dressing probably came from Kraft or Heinz.
I liked the vase on the table. I liked the young man who was our waiter. He wasn't really attentative but at least that also meant that he didn't have an opportunity to be intrusive. -

The best part of this restaurant is its proximity to the Falls, & the Journey Behind the Falls tour. Since it is the only non-fast food option, hubby & I decided to grab some food while we were waiting for our Journey time. Everything about this restaurant is average -- the decor, the service, the food. The idea of the elements is cool -- looks like there is blown glass fire coming out of the kitchen ceiling area, but once you sit down, you notice wearing paint & average decor. The cool part of the decorations is that each table has an original Angelo Rossi blown glass vase.
I had the smoked Ontario turkey breast wrap. I guess I had assumed that the cranberry mayonnaise would have a bit more flavor, but the fresh field greens, strawberries & grapes made up for the flavorless wrap.
I do have to add that the view was fantastic -- until someone sat in front of the windows. -

2 Stars for the view which is amazing (and climate controlled)
we were smart and only ordered one beer each no food.
Beers were $7.50... for Molson Canadians. Yikes.
total rip off but if you need a break from the heat or cold and still want that killer view and are made of money. this is your place. -
Review from Cristina K.
After a very long morning hiking around Niagara Falls in the snow and ice, we looking for a warm place to eat. Unfortunately, everything is touristy and most everything is crowded. Elements seemed like the lesser of the evils, with a very crowded Tim Horton's line and little else (all the pizza places were closed and the sushi kiosk was scary- should sushi be served at a kiosk?). We headed up the escalator to Elements. We were surprised that it wasn't more crowded. We scanned the menu and were both like, "Holy Crap! $17 a cheeseburger?" No wonder it isn't crowded. But it is cold at Niagara Falls. We wanted to sit down and dry off and enjoy the view. Never order the Elements Bison Burger. Never. My boyfriend is still recovering from the injury to his jaw that the Bison Burger caused. In addition, some couple decided to try some restaurant intimacy at the table behind us, which, maybe I could see happening late night at dinner. Maybe. But not at lunch. I mean c'mon. This place is sad. Sad and wrong. The fire needs to go out and stay out at Elements. Go see Niagara Falls. Seek out an entirely different tourist dining foray. Leave Elements to battle the elements without your patronage.
