Simply Amazing. After the worst move experience ever last year w/ Gateway movers (DO NOT USE EVER), El Cheap was positively dreamy. Uber professional, they followed up multiple times, gave me helpful tips and were very very reasonable with prices. They even called morning of to let me know they were headed over and were incredibly prompt arriving at 8:59 AM (my move was scheduled for 9AM). The actual movers themselves were very friendly and super fast and got the job done in less time than it takes to make a customer service call to Rogers. They accept cash and credit, and also allow tipping to be done via credit which is awesome. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a painless, professional move.

I moved on May 3. They were on time, friendly, worked carefully and quickly, and just made the whole experience great. The rates are amazing and I have already referred them to several people- awesome company. Don't let the name fool you, they are generous on great customer service. Everyone, from the person answering the phones and emails to the movers- were excellent.

Easiest. Move. Ever.
The movers showed up on time, were friendly, considerate and fun. They were able to move my chesterfield and matching chair over the back deck of not one, but TWO apartments with ease. One fella even broke down and hulahooped in my empty erstwhile living room when he saw the hoop (and he was better than me!)
They had quoted me at three hours, and since they were done in less time than that, I ended up paying less than expected (and you don't pay until EVERYTHING is off the truck and where you want it in your new home).
I wont be moving house again without El Cheapo.Listed in: Torontoness

Finding a moving company was full of stress and uncertainty and I was very skeptical about hiring a company called El-Cheapo, as Ive had some *terrible* experiences with movers, but the fears were totally unfounded. We hired them to help us unload our moving van.
Organized, honest, and at least 30% cheaper than other places around. They showed up exactly when they said they would, and took exactly as long as they said they would.
The movers were friendly, but very professional, unhurried but incredibly efficient. Soft touch with furniture and walls. Impressed by the small touches like folding the blankets and helping maneuver our van.
Will use them again for sure! -

Can't say enough good things about these guys. SO organized, so professional, and genuinely lovely people - a real blessing on a stressful move day! I had a couch that simply was NOT fitting up the stairs, and it would have been completely reasonable for them to say "tough luck". But they stuck with it, figured it out, and actually got it up there - super carefully at that! I'm so glad I booked them.

Glad I chose them for my move from Toronto to Hamilton. Nice guys. They showed up on time and took as long as they estimated, and the driver knew downtown Hamilton. The super in my new condo made a point of mentioning that they were the best movers she's dealt with.
I'd definitely recommend them. -

Wow. I was impressed. I scheduled appt for 10 am to move a few pieces of furniture a few blocks away. They arrived right on time, had everything in the new location and all finished at 10:35. The price was exactly what they said it was and the drivers were very respectful.
What more could you ask for? -

I had a great experience with El Cheapo this weekend. I don't have that much stuff, so the 1 hour minimum was great for my move.
They gave me a block of time of when the movers would arrive, between 4-6pm. Someone from the office called me to tell me that they would be coming towards the tail end of that time frame. The movers came, and moved me in less than 1.5 hours.
I would totally use them again. The movers were nice, and courteous the whole time.
