I've tried a few different Latino places and El Amigo is by far my favorite. Absolutely delicious!! Tacos and Chimichangas are my favorite.

Not bad if you can actually get into the place; six previous attempts found the place closed, even though it was during the advertised business hours.
I remembered when the place first opened, and we were told that it wouldn't be selling what we were conditioned to think of as "Mexican" food -- no burritos or tacos or anything like that. On that occasion, we wound up with sandwiches and salad, since they were that new that they didn't have half the stuff they needed to properly carry on business.
Fast forward to last week, and we re-visited the place since it happened to be open for a change. What's on the menu? The stuff we were told wouldn't be on it. O-kay...
I ordered a deluxe burrito; it was okay, arriving partially smothered in liquidy cheese. The side salad was merely adequate, served with ranch dressing, not at all remarkable. Portions were somewhat smaller than the price would have you believe they were.
Value for money? Nada. Go to Rio Burrito instead, up on Osborne.
