Please know this rating is for my Physio - Steve! NOT for one particular member of the reception. Steve is very intuitive and takes the time to listen and really help you with your physical ailment. He has helped me a lot over the years, and I know others as well (if he has sports injury clients who are really upset at their impending retirement because of the injury, he really listens and consoles!)
One member of the reception staff, however, pisses me off every time I go in the office!! She gives me serious attitude and seems to be talking to friends on the phone most times I go in. I even heard her put a patient on hold once to talk to one of her friends, forcing the other lady to pick up the call (she didn't even bother to ask her to do so, just left the patient hanging). She talks loudly to me about sensitive issues when others are in the waiting area and seems to have no clue about confidentiality or customer service.
I'm sick and tired of getting attitude from receptionists. If you're not happy with your position, quit, go back to school for something different so your attitude problem isn't sprawled on to decent, paying customer!! -

I feel the same as the last reviewer, Karen M. My physio is also Steve and is excellent. He is patient and kind and really takes the time to do a proper diagnosis and makes recommendations on improving. He really listens to what is happening with you. He also takes a very holistic view of healing and is open to patients looking to other alternative therapies to help them in their recovery process ie: chiropractor, massage therapy etc. He believes in helping others and helping people to learn about what the profession is all about. He had two high school students sit in on my session (which was fine by me) to help them learn and know whether this was the right area of study for them to pursue.
Note on substitutes at 8 Rinks:
I have had a substitute there when Steve was away. He was just a call in sub I suppose but did not even come close to the type of service that Steve offers. The sub was shall we say, very operationally competent but didn't have any people skills whatsoever. He barely asked me anything about my condition. It was just a job and he just had to get through the day.
The office staff in terms of reception is pathetic at 8 Rinks. Cold and unwelcoming. The one receptionist there clearly hates her job and working with people. She doesn't smile and doesn't know anything about good service. I had finished my appointment once, and I was waiting to pay and clearly there first when another perhaps more "regular" client or "friend" came to the counter and she processed his payment first! If it wasn't for Steve being at this clinic I would have left to go elsewhere but will tolerate her simply because he is excellent in terms of being a professional practitioner.
