Wow! What a view.
Nestled in the country less than 2 hours from Toronto lies this hidden gem - Eganridge Country Inn and Spa. If I was planning a wedding - I just found my venue.
What I like about this place:
The friendly and untainted staff - their smiles are genuine
The o-so large sleigh beds
The view outside my window of Sturgeon lake - breath taking
The perfect play 9-hole golf course (19 holes, is just too long for me)
The freshness of the cuisine
Snuggling up with a friend by the fireplace in the winter
Just everything.....
When I go back in the Spring - I'll stay in a cottage instead of the main building just to say I did. -

Eganridge is where my in-laws go to get their country club on http://www.youtube.com... all kidding aside, it's more than just your average golf destination. Eganridge offers fine dining and boasts charming accomodations along with luxury spa services. Owned by the Windsor Arms group, Eganridge is top tier so you can expect everything from gourmand food to unrivalled service from this premier Kawarthas destination.
We celebrated a milestone birthday for hubby's mum and had the rustically beautiful Dunsford House as our party venue. With a gorgeous view of the lake the Dunsford House is a handsome pine log manor that was built in 1837 so it's got charming historical flourishes but with all the modern amenities to make it seem all the more luxurious in it's own pastoral way. Being the nosy little bugger I am, I crept away from the festivities to check out the rooms on the second floor and scoped out the bedrooms which were pimped out with whirlpool baths! Hmmm accomodation packages start from $160 and upwards so I may have to get hubby to bring me back for an idyllic escape!
On sundays the Eganridge hosts a pretty spectacular brunch, complete with an omlette station too, so you can totally get your egg fetish on.
Eganridge provides a beautiful getaway, when you want to get far enough away from Toronto to forget the city noise but close enough to not dread the drive back home.Listed in: Fevrier Sans Food, 24 Karat Dining
