Eduardo's Southwestern Burrito is amazing.
I know that BBQ sauce typically doesn't make an appearance in Mexican cuisine, but this burrito had THE perfect combination of bbq sauce, corn, cheese, chicken, and a little bit of guac to top it all off. Delicious.
Their chips are fresh and they throw in a decent sized handful with the burrito. + stars for their salsa bar that has a variety of different salsas too. -
Review from David M.
Too expensive for what it is, though it is indeed tasty. $2.75 for a taco with just meat and tortilla? Nah...
Their salsas are okay but their chips are excellent. -

This is a very good Mexican joint, for quick and fresh burritos and taco. I stop here 1-2 times per month to grab a late evening burrito to satisfy my hunger when I am too lazy to cook and I am always very happy.
There are better places around, but Eduardo's works very well and is right around the corner from my house.
Will be back for many more great meals. -

I'm very conflicted on how to rate this place. If this place was in the Valley where I have many great Mexican joints to choose from, it would be a 3 star affair, and I probably would never go back since there are better places. But in Westwood, this probably is the among the top picks for quick Mexican food in the UCLA area, not that you have many choices around here. Food is a little bit on the higher side for Mexican ($2.75 per taco?) but this is expected for the area.
My steak burrito (avg sized) was decent, with fresh ingredients and warm chips. They have a decently stocked salsa bar as well. Service was fast and friendly and the location was clean. With a coke, total was over 9 bucks which isn't bad for being in Westwood.
I'm used to paying 1.25 per taco in my usual spot in the Valley (the fantastic Taco Reyes). But I'll be back, only because I work in the area. But there's the rub. This place gets 4 stars due to the location. If you're in the area and crave Mexican, this joint will fit the bill.
Oh, and remember the cash. No cards here. -

My go to for a steak or chicken burrito. Food is always fresh and deeeelish.

If you like bbq'ed corn kernels in your steak burrito and chunky guacamole, this is the place to go to. They also throw in free chips with every order.
But the greatest downfall of this place is that it's cash only. So if I happen to have $10 in my pocket when I'm in this complex, I might consider getting a burrito. Otherwise, nearby Poquito Mas OR Baja Fresh OR Chipotle (ALL advertise "healthy Mexican" food) accept credit card. Prices are similar to Poquito Mas -- you will pay $8+ for a burrito.
Parking in the complex is also a pain... it's better to shoot for the street meters.Listed in: Meat

I personally Love Eduardos, i eat there all the time, the steak border burrito or the steak Torta is awesome, price is a little on the higher range of other Mexican restaurants but still worth it, everything is made fresh right in front of your eyes

Eduardos is the best take out mexican food establishment in the Westwood area. It's not perfect, but it does the job.
Favorites:
Steak, chicken and fish tacos. They may be pricey but you really don't need more than 2 to be satisfied. To quote the staff, "the tacos are heavy with meat". Use red salsa for steak, green for everything else.
Black beans with pico de gallo. Healthy, delicious and a great value. Makes for a perfect side dish.
Horchata. I'm surprised this drink has not become more popular. Try it as a dessert and you'll be hooked.
Not so favorites:
Cash only. Please take amex!
Burritos. Don't waste your time with burritos here (or anywhere). Ingredients in Mexican food taste better when not wrapped around a dry, flour tortilla which ads empty calories and takes away from the flavor of the food. Order tacos instead and if your really want the rice and beans, order it on the side and eat it with the tortilla chips. You'll save money, consume fewer calories and enjoy your meal. -

I've been twice and the food is overall A-OK. I'm not the biggest fan of "Fresh-Mex or "healthy" Mexican food to begin with but all of my friends are true believers in Eduardo's Border Grill... The sad truth is there just isn't enough Mexican taquerias and restaurants in BH, Century City, Westwood areas are compared to the rest of LA county.
Also, you should know that Eduardo's Border Grill is on the pricey side for a taqueria, so you might want to consider going to a Mexican restaurant for better ambience and service. -

Eduardo's is an unbelievable Mexican joint. Two things: get the Southwest Chicken Burrito and make sure to load up on the mango salsa at the salsa bar. I'm so into the SW burrito that I tell them to hold the chips and get me 2 burritos just so I can max out my experience. Also: chicken may be preferable to steak for this burrito since the blander meat will allow the BBQ sauce and guac flavors to "pop" more. Highly recommended. You can't go wrong with Eduardo's! Just remember: cash only.

How this is rated as one of the best burrito places in LA is beyond me.
OVERPRICED
Disappoints me that so many Angelinos rate this place so high when there are way better Mexican places to eat in LA.
Eduardo's isn't even the best burrito in WESTt LA, Poquito Mas is better than this place. -
Review from Sylvie D.
After 4 years at UCLA, how have I just discovered this place?!
So I can't really comment on the authenticity of Eduardo's, but I can say this is damn good Mexican food. The thing that makes it special is the grilled flavor--all the meats are given a really good sear and you can really taste it in your burrito. Add the bag of freshly fried chips and the extensive salsa bar and you have a solid go-to joint for Mexican food.
I've tried the border burrito and the classic burrito in chicken and beef and both are really tasty. I've also ordered their grilled vegetable salad (I know! Salad at a Mexican joint!) and I was pleasantly surprised...you get the great grilled flavor on the veggies along with a yummy tomatillo salad dressing. Definitely than I expected.
So just stop by if you need your quick fix of no nonsense Mexican food. Remember to bring cash though, no credit cards accepted! -

Yes! This place is great but pricey.
If you love Mexican food and are stuck on the westside like me, come here.
The steak burritos will hit the spot if you're hankering for a carne aside burrito and you can't manage to give yourself enough reason to dish out dough for gas.
The salsa bar is AMAZING.
I'm not a fan of mango salsa but it seems to be a pretty popular salsa and ppl seem to like it.
I usually don't like to overpay for food but I'll do it everytime for eduardos steak burrito. Mmmmmmm! And u see? The price wasn't enough to knock any stars off!
This place is a must if you love mexi food.
The ingredients are fresh and u get to see them prepare it.
To add, u get free tortilla chips w every order. -

I am on the hunt for an authentic inexpensive Mexican restaurant that serves tasty tacos and burritos in West LA. No frills...just good food. Eduardo's seemed to fit the bill on my Yelp search.
We ordered the Chicken Border Burrito and Fish Burrito. The highlight was really the salsa bar and homemade chips. The burritos were good and hit the spot but nothing earth-shattering.
Eduardo's will be a solid go-to place when I'm craving Mexican cuisine but I'm still searching for "the best burrito I've ever tasted." -
Review from Seiji N.
Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with Eduardo's. They have a good selection of food, salsa, and drinks. The lady that takes your order sometimes seems mean, but is very nice once you joke around with her a couple of times.
The reason why this place is "A-OK" is because I feel that there are other places around that serve better mexican food. Also, the fact that it's cash only kind of blows it for me. If I want to go there, I have to check my wallet to make sure that I have ~$10 for a burrito and a drink.
I have no problem going here when my co-workers want to walk here for lunch because the office is so close, but if we were driving, there are a couple of places that beat out eduardos around the area.Listed in: Mid-day snack

Mexican food is the one thing I am very picky about. I can't believe how many reviews claim this place is fresh and great. It's just meh.
I invited my dad to lunch and as a meeting came up at work I had to make it quick and instead of going to Poquito Mas up the street and deal with the crowd and parking there I went to Eduardo's. First, for 2 drinks and 2 burritos it was $22. I don't think that really adds up when the food lacks authenticity and flavor. Where's the sabor? It was so bland I guess it makes sense that Wessiders for life would give this place more than 2 stars and say it's better than Poquito Mas. My dad was really disappointed since it seems to be family owned. I even took him back a second time to make sure we did not make a mistake or order the wrong item the first time round, but the visit only reinforced that it's just slightly average and lacks any remnant of flavor.
I've tried their shrimp burrito, asada burrito, tacos and nachos. 0 for 4. The salsa is not great either. The shrimp burrito had about 2 pieces of shrimp in it too. Just SO disappointing that yet another spot in WLA with so much potential fails to bring authenticity to life, though points for highlighting the freshness. -

If a big plate of Nachos is what you are seeking then seek no more! They pile it on high here. The owners seem like they are grumpy people but who cares as long as my nachos are cheesy! Just writing this makes me want to order some right now LOL!

Lovely Mexican food for a gringo palate. Is that an oxymoron? I ordered a few tacos, my meat seemed good quality, everything just lacked flavor
I don't think it's fair to dock points just b/c this place sucks compared to the taquerias in LA. 3 stars it is. -

Ohhh Eduardo, you are my savior. I wasn't up for the chore of driving to Chipotle to get my mexi fix (I know it isn't authentic but I love it nonetheless) so I decided to give Eduardo's a go. Especially because I can literally walk there, thats got to burn off a few chips and salsa right? The chicken is absolutely moist, flavorful and delicious. I had a chicken tostada salad and the bf got the Border Burrito which was described as being "soooo bomb." Took our orders to-go and were sent away with a bag of warm, fresh tortilla chips to dip into the salsa bar selections they had.
The only downside is that Eduardo's is cash only so come prepared or you'll be redirected to an ATM with a $2.10 fee a few shops down. -

Why does everyone think this place is so good? I've been trying all the mexican places in my new neighborhood in search of the perfect LA burrito (preferably, close to my house) and this one came in dead last. It had no flavor. I gave it a star because the guys that work there are very sweet and friendly. On to the next.....

CASH ONLY!!?? Come on Ed, it's 2012! Charge 2% more or something and accept credit cards because making me schlepp down a dark back alley past the car wash to go to 7-11 to withdraw cash is a joke. The food here is excellent, although they need more of a salsa selection like Paquitos Mas, they don't have enough shades of spicy if you know what I mean, it's either mild or medium, the spicy one isn't spicy enough. Yes it's pricey, but it's worth it if you don't mind spending an extra couple of bucks on good Mexican food. Shrimp burrito is AMAZING but yes, it's approaching 10 bucks and that's pretty steep.

Eduardo's basic asada burrito with just carne asada, guacamole, pico de gallo and cheese is one of the best I've had in town regardless of how inauthentic it may be. I find when beans and rice are added to the mix, it just adds bulk while obscuring the taste of the asada, which is the star of the show. A very good burrito. And you can get a horchata (cinnamon rice milk), which is a plus compared to the chains, which have mostly bailed on the mexican drinks.

How do you say "bland" in Spanish? Even for West LA standards this place is mediocre at best.
The service is 5 stars, really nice people that work there, unfortunatley great service can't make up for lackluster food. We ordered 2 tacos, a burrito, side of rice and beans and a horchata for around $25. The rice kind of tasted like butter but no other seasonings or flavor. The meat was dry, again barely seasoned, I had to drench it with pico de gallo and hot sauce. And needless to say the same bland rice, beans and meat were stuffed into the burrito.
+ easy parking
+ friendly service
- bland food
- overpriced bland food
- cash only
For the price and a very casual/fast food venue, I prefer the homemade corn tortillas from Tacomiendo or the carne asada from Tacos Por Favor, or maybe even Baja Fresh or Wahoos... =T -

A gf and I were a few doors down at Westwood Coin Laundry, because she had laundry to do and I'm a good friend : P. When we both got hungry and thought of Mexican food, I remembered that Eduardo's was close - so we walked over to pass the wash/rinse/spin time with food!
As soon as we walked in, we smelled charred meats and started to drool! We were so hungry that it took us several minutes to check out their menu - it was hard to choose!
I finally ordered my usual (when there are no cabeza or lengua soft tacos on the menu, that is):
Original Burrito with Steak ($6.65), add grilled veggies (+$1.95), served Ranchero Style (+$2.25) - woohooo, was this a chubby stuffed burrito! Jack and cheddar cheeses, guacamole, salsa and smoky steak - plus nicely charred grilled veggies (red, yellow and green bell peppers, zucchini, corn) packed this baby! It was a LOT of veggies, so even after I ate the whole thing I still felt light.
I'm really impressed with the quality of fillings in this burrito. Usually when I get grilled veggies, they are super oily, limp slices of non-charred veggies. But these were tender, non oily, healthy-looking veggies!
Ranchero Style meant they added a douse of red salsa and melted jack and cheddar cheeses on top of the burrito. The thin and crispy chips served on the side weren't my fave (I prefer thick, crunchy chips), but they scooped up the cheesy Ranchero Style sauce nicely.
I also helped myself to lemon and lime slices, pickled spicy carrots from the carrot/jalapeno/onion condiments, as well as diced onions and cilantro. I made a mental note of the rest of the salsa bar (mango salsa, chipotle salsa, salsa fresca, etc.) and a few yummy-sounding menu items (Spinach and Mushroom Quesadilla, Veggie Quesadilla) for next time.
A ($2.25) soda that with unlimited refills washed everything down!
Thanks Eduardo's for hitting my hungry spot just right tonight! I'll be back : D. -

Best. Salsa. In. LA.
My favorite lunch spot while working in Westwood and after discovering this place, haven't set foot in Poquito Mas just down the street.
Def worth a look, just make sure to try the pico and salsa! :) -
Review from Chris C.
Ooooo have I found my sneaky Mexican spot for a quick fix? I think so! I came here on a recommendation and got the Border Burrito with steak and grilled vegetables.
+ burrito was massive
+ meat was flavorful and tender
+ grilled veggies are a must add
+ chips were fresh and crisp
- burrito needs it's own support system to stay in one piece. I've never had to baby a burrito so much to keep it together lol
- salsa was ho hum. I went for the full octane red as I'm not much of a green guy and came away feeling underwhelmed. I'm sure the pico is as advertised though
-cash only, you'll have to go to a copy joint a few doors down to get situated at their ATM
I'm definitely coming back! -

Extensive salsa bar makes Eduardo's a great deal for any lunch/dinner destination. Food is cooked right in front of you and served up relatively quickly. Tacos are good, but I recommend the Mexican torta. Scrumptious lunch for a great value. Be sure to try all of the salsas!

If you're ever in the westwood area where there aren't too many mexican restaurants and you are in the mood for a satisfying burrito, go down westwood blvd and hit up eduardos.
Once you're inside, and if this is your first time, do us a favor and order the steak burrito. If we were to describe the burrito with one word, it would be homemade or authentic. Compared to burritos from places like chipotle, the burrito is fairly mediocre in size, despite its price tag of $6. However, for the lack of quantity, the burrito certaintly makes up with quality. Inside the burrito is not a lot of the usual fillers like beans and rice, but it is packed with juicy pieces of steak, savory guacamole, and fresh salsa; basically, all the stuff you care about.
With the burrito, you also get a batch of fresh chips. When eating chips from other places, theres always a certain defect like staleness, oiliness, etc. However, the chips here are fairly bomb, and I dont find anything about them in particular to complain about.
What makes the chips even better is the salsa here. Their mild salsas are noticeably fresh, and their mango salsa is tangy and uniquely satisfying.
All in all, a great mexican experience in westwood. I would give the place 5 stars if there burritos were a tad bigger and more densely packed. -
Review from Sarah G.
First, this place is definitely in one of those famous LA strip malls that after living here for a year I have learned basically plaster this spread out city ha ha So not a nice spot to take anyone....FYI
So it doesn't look like much on the outside, but I went here the other day for lunch and there was a line of people ordering!! For fast, freshly made mexican food that isn't really authentic because it is a little more on the healthy side, this place is great for a strip mall ha.
I got their burrito combo plate with steak and the burrito even comes with guacamole in it!! yes without paying extra!!! i know, strange, eh?? The combo which is about $2 more than just the burrito comes with rice and beans and a sour cream and a bag a chips no normal person could finish in addition to all of the food you get. Granted their burrito could have been a little bigger, but I know I am american and I just expect my food to be huge and large and everlasting and that is why america is known for being fat ha ha
They make their chips fresh and you can see them cook your meat in front of you while you wait, but taste wise it is just average, and for some reason i swear their black beans had a weird taste....not a bad taste, but just a different taste....i guess pass on their beans....i still feel weird about them ha ha and their meat especially their steak since that's what i had, even though it is cooked fresh, it is a little overcooked!!! a little too chewy for me!!!
But free guac in your burrito makes anything worthwhile I feel!! -

I dare you to find a better burrito on the westside. Seriously. Try it.
Border Burrito - no rice with chicken.
See salsa bar - douse with brown salsa.
Try to find a place to sit.
Savor.
A quick few blocks away from my office in west LA - which makes this very dangerous. -

4.5 stars really. I got the steak border burrito and the steak is really good stuff, but they skimped on the guac and I looooooove guac so I was a bit disappointed. The salsa bar is amazingly good, especially the mango salsa.
I'm not sure why people are complaining about parking. They do have a shared parking lot which looked pretty full, but right across the street ( I went after 6pm) there was not a single car parked. Yes, that means 10+ opened metered spots. The meters run until 8pm though so beware. I'm from San Francisco so to me, the ample amount of parking was awesome.... -

The chicken burrito I had at Eduardo's was fresh and delicious. It wasn't very greasy, but didn't taste too authentic either. It was a solidly filling burrito too, better than most you'd find at Baja Fresh.
Unfortunately I won't be returning to Eduardo's anytime soon. They don't accept credit cards. And I'm going cash-less, baby! -

Boarder Burrito, carne asada, spicy with the works.
Nachos with carne asada.
Tostada salad in the deep fried crunch bowl with...you guessed it carne asada.
Guacamole is awesome and their salsa bar is a meal in itself.
Cash only. -
Review from Kenneth S.
Los Angeles, CA
Think of Eduardo's as an independent, superior version of chains like La Salsa and Baja Fresh. The offerings are similar: generously portioned burritos stuffed with black beans and pico de gallo, with guacamole, cheese and sour cream; quesadillas; grilled veggies and meats. But Eduardo's quality is vastly superior to the chains. A visit to the salsa bar will be all the evidence you need: whether you choose their green tomatillo salsa, their pico de gallo, red salsa or mango salsa, you'll find it to be fresh and delicious. I always get their vegetarian burrito on a whole wheat tortilla. Even though I get it without cheese or sour cream, it's still filling and tasty!
My only complaint is that, when you eat in, they serve their burritos in a plastic tray with a paper liner. Sometimes their burritos fall apart (depends on who makes them, I've learned), and when that happens, the fillings hit the paper liner, which starts shredding -- and soon you have a mess of soggy paper and burrito fillings. Ditch the paper liner and you'll be all right. See, this is true insider advice here.
Eduardo's is addictive and delicious! Bring cash -- they don't take credit cards.
The parking lot can sometimes get pretty full, and if you drive something bigger than a compact car, the spaces in the lot will seem minuscule. But, I've never had to find another place to eat on account of a lack of parking. You'll find a metered spot on the street, if not in the lot. -

Ordered a Border Burrito and a horchata.
The place is pretty crowded, and I swear they have no real food delivery system (no numbers, no names). They just remember your faces. Which I guess is pretty cool.
There are not that many tables, and they have this awkward bar in the middle of the restaurant.
I cannot say much about service, since there was none and none was expected.
The food was interesting. The border burrito, unfortunately, fell apart on me and I ended up eating the burrito fork and knife. In terms of taste, it's pretty good, but not amazing. It is largely portioned, which is a plus.
I really have nothing else to say about this place. -
Review from Gin-Chong T.
Westwood, CA
Why this place hasn't gotten more reviews is a serious mystery to me. Maybe it's self-explanatory, but this place is the BOMB and every lunch should be an Eduardo's lunch (if I could fight the traffic to go the 2.5 miles from Century City to Westwood). It's sad, but I won't attend some of my company's meetings unless I can sweet talk the event coordinator to order from Eduardo's ("Umm, we're not having Eduardo's? Oooh, sorry, I forgot I have a client meeting for lunch.").
Get the nachos with beef, and load up on the salsa like you're going to take a bath in it. If you are ordering to go, get the beef tacos. There's typically so much beef that you can make two tacos at home. The shrimp burrito has always been good every time I've had it.
