I was so happy to find this place.  Being recently diagnosed, the whole grocery shopping experience has been daunting to say the least.  It was so great to have so many options!  So much better that what my local grocery store has to offer.  I like that they are strictly gluten free.  I don't want to have to read the labels.  For those of us who are very sensitive, it is great to have a place like this.

The staff was friendly and helpful.  The store was clean and organized.

The prices were what I have come to expect from shopping gluten-free.

Happy customer - will be back soon

I really wanted to like Ed's as I've heard so much about this place. I was in the area on the way to dinner with my date. I was in the mood for some gluten free snacks, however, walked in and was uninspired. The ratio of store space vs. shelf space left me confused. There was way too much empty room and only two shelves of products that you can now buy at Save On, Extra Foods, Superstore and or IGA. I wasn't inspired by anything unique. Two shelves in a large store left me feeling depressed. What Ed's has which is hard to find in any gluten free department is a decent really good tasting loaf of bread. Ed's is not too far from my best friend's place, therefore, if we ever have an urge for a grill cheese sandwich, I know where to go. Plus points for a store that is in that area for those that don't want to travel to either central downtown or Burnaby for a gluten free store.

Gluten free heaven!!  I found betty crocker gluten free cake mix!!  So excited to try it.  AND.. gluten free diary free perogies!!  On the pricey side but it sure is nice to have some perogy action after not having it for years.

It's definately your one stop gluten free shop - nice to have a variety of things all in one place.  I asked them if they ever get in more items if they're requested and he said they didn't have shelf space for anymore items.  LAME.  Because they had some empty spaces on the shelves.  And probably room for another shelf or two.  But maybe they'll expand more later.

Expensive but for some things that you only buy occasionally it's worth it.  A lot of the stuff you can find in other stores for cheaper though.  If you're on a budget, it's really just good for those few rare things you can't find anywhere else.  Like gluten free gnocchi!

I will definately visit again.. after my next paycheque perhaps!

For me, a grocery store with NO parking options is not really viable. The one time I was in there the clerk seemed utterly uninterested in my presence.

And frankly, it's a little TOO gluten-free for me -- I tend to eat a lot of spelt, which I know doesn't work for true gluten-free types, but would be useful in a place like this. Maybe they could rebrand as Ed's Wheat-Unfriendly?

This is a great store and it's literally right around the corner from me.

They have everything from cookies to pasta to Portuguese buns.  For the selection I give 4 stars. It's pretty all inclusive, but mostly dry or frozen goods.

For price I give 3 stars. It's up there, but I get it, the ingredients in a lot of their inventory is not cheap at all.

Need your favourite brand of gluten-free bread? Ed's has it. Need five different types of gluten-free flours to make something? Ed's has them all, and several more. Need gluten-free snacks that your kids will eat? Find them at Ed's. Want to try every brand of gluten-free pizza crust mix? You can get them at Ed's, and the staff will tell you which one is the most popular (and delicious).

It's a fairly small store with minimal signage and merchandising, but if you need gluten-free flours, mixes, products, etc., Ed's has them all. The staff I spoke to were knowledgeable and friendly and said that the store, only open for a couple months, will only keep growing in stock. I'm so happy this store is in my neighbourhood.

It's certainly nice to have a store dedicated to selling only gluten free products. I don't have to squint at the labels for one thing, it's freeing! Although many things contain forms of dairy, I still have to check for that, but I do think it's a great shop. This is the first and only gluten free shop I've ever seen to date and I really hope that it's successful.

The prices are enough for your eyes to bulge out, who ever thought a loaf of bread would be 6 or 7 bucks? -but *sigh* this is the gluten free life in Vancouver.
The store is well stocked and they are always looking for new
    products and open to ideas.

I have an idea. Put in a small gluten free cafe/deli  :)

This long-awaited Vancouver location has finally arrived! Everything in the store is gluten-free. A first for our fair city. Its so nice to have everything in one place. The staff is well-informed and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised when I found a few items that I had only previously seen in the states. I also found a pasta from Italy, which I believe is the same one that Paliotti's serves. I am eager to try the perogies and ravioli as well.

    check it out!

Look for the bright green signage :) Everything you need when it comes to Gluten Free Products...this store has been a great find for friends that have celiac disease as well.

I've found the products are clearly labelled with what is gluten free, dairy free, soy free, etc.

While does appear to be a small store, it packs a punch - what a selection! From mixes, to various flours, to snacks, frozen items and desserts - THEY HAVE EVERYTHING!

Last trip (one of many) I found some great gluten free lasagna noodles, french bread mix and a mix for chocolate chip cookies - turned into a fabulous meal.

Parking is a bit challenging, try to get a spot around the corner on West 12th.
