I don't care what anyone says! Win or lose, going to watch an Eskimos game is one of my favourite past times.

It is not about who is playing, who is winning, or who is blowing their chances, watching the Esks play has a wonderful atmosphere. Unlike most Edmontonians, I care more about how the Esks are doing than how the Oilers are doing - and yes, I am scared to admit this over the internet for all to see.

Going to one of these games is fun because there is such an amazing atmosphere. You're out in the sun, enjoying the weather, eating one of the best burgers in the city (I kid you not -- they are to DIE for).

Many people don't get as stupid drunk here as they do at Oilers games, which can be a nice change.

Going to see an Esks game is something that all Edmontonians should experience, and I am happy to say that I have and will continue to see Esks games as long as I live in this city.

Lost my CFL virginity here back on August 13, and the overwhelming lesson of the evening was: Stamps Suck Shit.  Yes, it became clear that this was the important conclusion to draw as the Esks beat the Stampeders in a dramatic last second thriller.  I would have thought that it was a hard fought match between two excellent teams, but the fans informed me otherwise with repeated chants in the stadium and surroundings: "Calgary Sucks." More specifically, "Stamps Suck Shit."  Oh, and that you want the Eskimos to score so that a sponsor will donate money to HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL.  Yes, that is shouted.  Don't ask.

Just for sh*ts and giggles, I'd like to see the NFL adopt CFL rules for a week.  Why?  Because it leads to awesome football!  There are only three downs, the play clock is only 20 seconds, the defense has to line up a yard back from the line of scrimmage, and the field is about 10% wider and longer - all of which leads to a whole lot more offensive action and risk taking.  And less boredom.  There are also some random things like twelve players per side and points for missed field goals (WTF?).  But I'll take the package over the NFL any day.  Except I could really use the Packers in the CFL since only the Packers matter.  Whatever, the important lesson is that Stamps Suck Shit.

I am not a very big football fan but the Eskimo's can be a good team. They have had some recent seasons that disappointed many people but they are exciting as any other team and can probably win the cup in the near future.

The Calgary vs Edmonton games are great to watch and even better to attend. If have never been to a game you should definitely put it on your to do list because it's quite the time. Especially when it's a rivalry game. The crowd gets so into and the atmosphere is awesome.

Like I said, I am not a big fan but I enjoy attending the games.

I like watching Canadian Football League (CFL) games and got my start watching the old Sacramento Gold Miners.  Players such as Doug Flutie and Jeff Garcia have come out the CFL.

The game is longer, wider, and deeper than the NFL and the rule differences (like only 3 downs, 12 men on the field, and different kicking strategies) do take some getting used to.  And with these differences, CFL games are fun to watch.  In particular, I noticed that games often are one at sometimes the last second and that the weather makes a huge difference for the team and for me personally (I've been caught short for lack of proper layering).  A CFL season usually runs from July to mid-November.

When I'm in Edmonton at the right time, I usually go with my friend Karl.  And if the Eskimos beat Calgary (Karl hates Calgary), we call up our friend Jim (a true Stampeder fan) and rag on him.

Memorial Statium is a big place even by NFL standards.  It's also the place where they staged an outdoor NHL game several years ago.  I prefer sitting in the lower deck for the sight lines and to stay away from the occassional roudy fans upstairs.  Overall, I like the stadium, the fan energy, and the overall experience.

The Edmonton Eskimos are a great football team. They are a great organization.

Not only are they actually good football players, they present an image that is good and wholesome.  I don't know how they do it but they do.

Watching an Eskimos football game live is a great experience.  I have to admit, I get pretty into it when I go.  I'm one of those rowdy fans jumping up and down and yelling at the top of my lungs. At any other event, I would be ashamed to admit that, but at an Eskimos game, I wear my craziness as a  badge of pride.

The Edmonton Eskimos are great!  Love them!

I only recently got into the NFL, so it was hard for me to get the hang of the CFL, with their different rules and all. But I found it easy to get behind the Eskimos since they're such a good team. They really make our city proud.

Watching an Eskimos game in-person is something you have
to experience if you live in Edmonton. Even better, try and make it to a game when the Calgary Stampeders come to town. You could cut the intensity with a knife!

I was bummed about missing out on the Grey Cup this year, but there's always next year. Can't wait for the new season to start! Go Esks!

What a franchise! To win five Grey Cups in a row was amazing but it seems no matter the decade they are able to rebuild and get to the mountaintop. Plus they always have great QBs from Tom Wilkinson to Warren Moon to Ricky Ray.
