Being a New Yorker, coming to Eddie Deen's was a really fun experience!  They had bull riding, "calf roping" I think it's called, other games, line dancing a great buffet.  Not to mention everyone inside is dressed in Texas attire with hats, boots and other fun accessories!

We held a corporate event here with live music (someone said one of the musicians was Kenny Rogers brother!) and it was a great venue.  The food was really good.  They served BBQ: brisket, ribs, mashed potatoes, cole slaw, corn, Mexican food: Tacos, guac, beans Cajun food: Shrimp, rice fried fish and multiple bar locations for drinks.

It was a huge space so I'm not sure what they do when they don't rent it out but it definitely was large enough for big parties or events.  I liked this place a lot but I guess since I am a tourist not sure what the locals think of it!

Eddie Deen's Ranch at Downtown Dallas is already listed on Yelp (with no reviews)... but this review is strictly on their catering side of the business.

We had Eddie Deen's Cater two different training sessions a couple of  weeks ago (11/11 and 11/13).

The first day we had BBQ.    Mashed Potatoes, Potato Salad, Cole Slaw, Corn, Green Beans, Chicken, Brisket, Sausage, Peach and Apple Cobbler.  I was underwhelmed by the sausage, but the rest of the meal was pretty darn good.

The second day we had a Mexican Fiesta catered at an off-site Team Building Training meeting.  There were cheese enchiladas, beef & chicken fajitas (with all the trimmings), sopapillas, blackberry and cherry cobbler.  I was not impressed at all with the mexican food, but didn't want to say anything.

But, then on the hour-long van ride back, our entire office unanimously decided that we would stick to BBQ from now on.

The BBQ would have garnered 4 stars, but the Mexican brought this caterer down to 3.

I had a great time at Eddie Deen's Ranch last night for Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. Everything was handled perfectly, from parking to the well staffed bar with free beer and wine. Dinner was served buffet style and went smoothly as well.

The brisket was smoky, moist, and tender. I was a huge fan of the sausage too. The sides were above average as the coleslaw was fresh and everything else was served hot. I like my food to be hot (temperature). Dessert was 50/50: cookies did not stand out but the chocolate pecan pie was yummy.

The event was fully staffed so there were plenty of friendly people serving alcohol or clearing tables. Fun event, professionally handled!

We've used Eddie Deen for quite a few events at work.  Every time the food has been wonderful.  Everything is tender, seasoned well, and very flavorful.  We've done the Uptown Supper a couple of times and everyone agrees (250+ people) that it is delicious.  Staff is professional and does a great job. We will continue to use them for our events.
