Econo Color is my choice for photo & digital imaging purely because of the great customer service.
During my days as a stressed out NSCAD design student, I'd often need to get things printed in a rush. It always entailed nit-picky specifics and the older gentleman at the counter was always so happy to help. He repeatedly went out of his way to make sure everything was just right and his extra efforts made my load just a little bit lighter.
The quality is great and prices are as cheap as they come. And to hit two birds with one stone, you can also drop off Video Difference rentals there. Econo cool! -

Nice people at this store, but I have to say their prints are terrible. I went in just before the Christmas holidays to get some regular 5x7 prints done for Christmas cards. When I got them I thought the colours seemed really, really washed out, and black sections of the photo weren't black, they were a dark gray.
I wrote it off thinking it was the image itself and I'd have to do some colour correction, but when I reviewed the photos they looked fine, and when I had the same prints done elsewhere, the colours were rich and the dark areas were perfect.
I don't know if they're just using sub-par printers, they were running out of ink, or if they were printing at a low saturation to save ink/ money, but I would not pay for prints from here again.
