History

Established in 1998

I started Eclipse Awards in 1998 after learning how important recognition is to making people happy. Seeing person after person break into tears of joy, or fits of laughter, or huge smiles upon receiving an award, made me realize two things:

1. recognizing people makes them feel happy, motivated and engaged
2. the beauty and thoughtfulness of your recognition award can either amplify (best case) or undermine (worse case) your intended message

So that's what we do - we make beautiful personalized awards that help you recognize special people in your life so that they feel appreciated. We guarantee on-time and safe delivery anywhere within North America.

Meet the Business Owner: Toby B.

Toby is the founder of Eclipse Awards and he believes that embracing sustainability is the single greatest investment that you can make towards your future success. Sustainability relies heavily on the most important assets that you have - your people. They need to feel appreciated, motivated, and engaged for your company to truly flourish.

In 2004 Toby was selected by Business in Vancouver as one of the provinces Top 40 Under 40. In 2006 DELL selected Eclipse Awards as one of Canada's Top 10 Small Businesses.

Toby contributes 20% of his time to building a green community in Strathcona. He has built two green roofs and also renovated an industrial warehouse into an inspiring sustainability hub. Toby chairs the Strathcona BIA's sustainability committee and also serves on the board of Building Opportunities with Business.
