I love my hairdresser Jane at Eccotique. It's nice when you find a hairdresser who just gets it as to how your hair should be cut. I moved to Burnaby just a year ago and am relieved to have so quickly found my hairdresser here!

I went to the Zenkai salon next to Eccotique in metrotown... the hairstylist said she was "master" level and charges $60 while she is washing my hair. Okay.. then I told her I want some "face framing layers". Guess what, she used razor (by the way, i have Asian coarse hair) to cut my entire hair. And she must be blind or something, one side of my layers are twice shorter than the other side. Plus, my hair becomes so frizzy now after wash because of the razor cut. Throughout the process, she was like "your hair is very thick". I will not recommend this place at all, it's a road to hell and they ruin your hair and charge u $60 bucks before tax and tips. By the way, there was no water or tea offered to me. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!

Wow what a HORRIBLE experience at this Salon. Jane is like a used car salesman! She left me with my head in the sink for 40 minutes while she helped another client. Then she had the nerve to tell me i should pre-book my next haircut so I could avoid being double booked, when she had told me earlier the other client was a walk-in!!!
It took 3 hours for her to finish my simple haircut and colour. I will NEVER go back there....so I recommend you spend your money elsewhere. There are too many other great salons and more professional stylists in this city to tolerate such poor service.
AVOID Jane & this salon at all costs!
