Came here last weekend while my mom was visiting (she was staying at the Delta/Grand Villa) and was shocked and amazed--in a good way.
The hostess who seated us was a little bit snooty but that's to be expected in a place like this.
The decor was lovely, comfortable but still classy.
Me and boyfriend each started with a beer (overpriced, of course!) and my mom and her friend had water. Our waiter was really friendly and helpful!
I had the Scallop and Short Rib after much waffling through the menu. When it came out my mouth started watering. Easily one of the biggest scallops I have ever seen and the best cooked one, hands down. The short rib was great, really tender, though it could have been seasoned a little bit more for me. They were served on a bed of incredible, creamy mashed potatoes with bits of daikon, asparagus and some chanterelle mushrooms. The daikon was so refreshing and unexpected, I LOVE daikon. There was also a little bit of kimchi on the edge which I was unsure about (I love kimchi but I wasn't sure how it would mix with all this) but it ended up being the perfect balance with everything else. I was SO pleased and full and happy.
Boyfriend had the Steelhead Salmon, which was cooked delightfully. He's a big whiner so he said it was only okay but it was lovely and flakey. (He also continues to insist he doesn't like salmon but "This doesn't taste like salmon!") -

We stayed at the Burnaby Grand Villa Casino Delta hotel. Ebo is in the hotel so we gave it a try. The food is very well prepared and presented and the service was excellent. They have a deal where you order an appetizer, entree, and dessert for $42. It may be a bit pricey, but the quality of the food and the preparation make it well worth it.
I got a type of white fish (sorry, i don't remember exactly what it was but it was delicious) and the BC chowder (very rich and buttery). Also tried an unusual dessert with angel food cake (usually not my favorite) but it was refreshing with the raspberry sorbet.
They need to market it better because there weren't a lot of customers. -

I went here with the family last weekend. After playing a few slots at the casino, smelling the buffet food there was working up my appetite. The decor is very eclectic.
The bread bowl that they had there was had an interesting variety. Rosemary, cheese and potato and garlic parmesan...it was all quite average.
The appetizers had a wonderful presentation. The beautiful squid ink, although tasteless, was especially beautiful. Taste wise, it was yummy, albeit standard.
My steak was amazing. Cooked perfectly, not overly seasoned and so tender. The potatoes were a bit salty and I couldn't finish it.
Our server was friendly but not the most attentive. We had an early dinner so we could go watch the Canucks game, but trying to flag the server down for our bill took a long time.
All things considered, I would go back. -

It's your average hotel restaurant with a little flair in decor. I've been here for brunch and it was okay. It was definitely not the best brunch I've had. It was reminiscent of cafeteria style eggs and it cost more than twice as much. But the space is pretty nice, modern. I've also been here for drinks after meetings we've had at the conference center and it's decent.

Salmon BLT for lunch? Yes, I am there for that one. The caesar salad was very good as well. On top of the food the service was fast and friendly and the bottom line was it was a surprisingly good experience for a hotel restaurant -- and even more of a surprise for a hotel attached to a casino.

A few weeks before Christmas we ordered dinner for 12 from the EBO Restaurant at the Delta Burnaby Hotel. Weren't sure about this - as we are used to a home-made dinner but things changed and we thought we'd order instead. As we like the EBO Restaurant we thought we'd try them.
We were so pleased with our meal. Chef Daniel and his staff went out of their ways to make our dinner special - even down to detailed instructions on warming the turkey up and sprigs of rosemary and sage to garnish once it was warm!
Thanks EBO staff. To visitors and locals, we highly recommend EBO! -

Have had a few drinks here on several occasions, but never had an opportunity to try their food.
With respect to their bar service, it is top notch. They are super attentive and each time were a pleasure to have conversations with.
If you are staying at the hotel, attending a conference, or stopping by the casino it would not be a bad decision to stop by for a drink here. -

I was skeptical of eating in a hotel restaurant so we started with a drink in the lounge. Nice guitarist playing and nice atmosphere. Looked at the menu for dinner and it looked good. Decided to risk and stayed for dinner.
Very nice surprise - excellent atmosphere - main course was exquisite - I had the Pasta Pappardelle - very tasty. My companions had dessert - but I was too full. Looked like the pastry chef was in another league with superior presentation and taste.
Service was attentive without the hovering.
I will definitely return to this gem - and rethink my opinion of hotel restaurants.
