My favourite store in all of KW, stocking a wonderful assortment of flours, grains, beans, teas, dairy, veg, baked goods, meat, and so much more!
I love that I can take in my own jars to fill up with honey or nut butters.
The produce selection is small, but surprisingly diverse. They stock as much local stuff as they can, and then the rest is usually US or Mexico organics.
They carry rennet-free cheeses, which are hard to find elsewhere.
My main complaint is that many of the bulk foods aren't labeled with their origin. Given that the store focuses on ethical consumption, I would expect not just the "organic" label, but to know where everything comes from.
Still, though, a bastion of ethical foods in the middle of uptown is a blessing!
