I stopped by mid November for a coffee, and was impressed by what is going on here. I've lived in the Old East Village for several years, and was waiting for something like this to pop up one day and signify that all our hard work building a good neighbourhood meant something!
The coffee is reasonably priced, under $2/large cup, I had a delicious dark roast. They also present the customer with a good selection of sweet delights. The employees are very pleasant, which is a great change from some other coffee establishments *cough..starbucks..cough* which tend to employ only bitchy queens, and not the kind I like. -

I went in here once with my husband so he could get a coffee. I don't drink coffee so I was interested in the selection of sweet treats, which disappointed me. I had a peanut butter cookie which I found to be rather dry. My husband likes the coffee, though. Also, no air conditioning in the place...it was really sticky hot in there! And the tables weren't very clean. I won't be visiting again.
