Perhaps not the best Italian in the world, but I really loved my garden salad, then my spaghetti with meatballs and extra sauce and even the tiny brownie bites as dessert (even though they are more fried chocolate squared dough than brownies). Pizza's choice is more limited and pizzas are just OK.
I would have no hesitation to go there again (once I have tried all other restaurants downtown Niagara falls) -

What a mess!
We decided to go to Eastside Mario's because there were 8 of us (5 adults and 3 kids) and we wanted a restaurant that had a kid's menu. Since the kids have already eaten at Eastside Mario's choosing their meals and getting them fed would be an easy task...pfft!
We ordered our food, took about 20 minutes for the server to even come by and take our drink order. Another 15 minutes before we got our drinks and were able to place our food order. Our server was brutal. We asked if we could get the kid's meals before our mains, at the same time as we would be served our soups/salads. She flat out refused, didn't even pretend to care abour our request. By the time we got our food, one of the kids had fallen asleep and the other 2 were crying because they were hungry.
Every single request we made of our server was met with "No, I can't do that...it's not the way we do things...I have no control over that..." to the point that it was infuriating.
Overall, not a pleasant experience. We didn't go there for high end Italian cuisine, we went there because it was a family restaurant and we expected fast service in a kid friendly environment...we didn't get any of that!Listed in: Just Nasty

I dont even know why I should even give this place one star. Seriously. The food and the service here was terrible. For what we paid for dinner, it was a ripoff. The reviews were mixed for this place. Do not go here or you will regret it. Sorry folks, but I've been to MUCH better italian restaurants and had MUCH better pizza than this place. Blech! Boo!! Yuck!!!!!

I am so glad we didn't think to read the other reviews before we decided to eat at this restaurant.
It was fabulous. My wife and I were both immensely pleased. Delighted in fact.
We were greeted at the door and seated immediately. OK, it was only 5PM, but the waitress, Kelly, was bubbly and informative and attentive and made great dining suggestions.
We both had meals a little off menu. We asked if it was OK to make our sauce 1/2 Alfredo and half Bolognese - makes a nice meat sauce with more of a Rose color. And we asked for Penne pasta. "No problem" Kelly said. She likes it that way too!
We both chose to get the $19.99 special which includes a fountain drink (free refills) and soup or salad, and bread - all you can eat. And a nice little desert that really hit the spot came as part of the deal.
The soups (Minestrone and Italian Wedding soup - we tried both) were wonderful. The salad (we chose Caesar) was appropriately cold, the croutons were properly crisp and the dressing was sufficient but not overly done. I liked the fact that they put a little bacon on it, my wife wasn't thrilled with the idea.
The pasta was cooked to perfection, my wife said it was a little too salty, but I liked it just the way it was.
The bread - all you can eat - was hot out of the oven and was quite good.
We can highly recommend this restaurant. Yes, it was a slow time of day, but we just loved the meal and the service and could not have asked for more. We asked for the manager to come by the table and we told him how happy we were with Kelly, and with the meal. -

Horrible service, terrible smell, and bad food.
We walked in and were hit with the stench of a humid, dirty locker room. That alone should have had us walking out, but we were hungry and decided to give them a chance despite the odor. It took 5 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge us even though there were only 4 small groups of customers in the entire restaurant. It took another few minutes for someone to seat us. The rest of the experience went similarly. Rude workers and the worst Italian food anyone in my family has ever had. Take my advice and don't give this place a chance like we did. It will be a mistake.
