    11/12/2011 2 Check-ins Here

When "Sweet Jesus WTF is that?!" is the reaction you get when you show someone your highly infected and now numb cut on your foot, you know you need to go to the walk-in clinic!

My co-worker/friend who seemed both concerned and mildly discussed by my laceration accompanied me to the East Liberty Medical Clinic. I should note that though the address is listed as King street the entrance is actually located on the south-east corner of the street on Strachan.

The service was lightning speed. I was still looking through my purse to locate my health card to fill in the medical history chart and was called into the doctor's office by the nurse.

Turns out my foot was not as bad as it looked. The doctor was however concerned that flip flop weather could make it susceptible to infection, so he prescribed me some antibiotics and the nurse bandaged me up.

Everyone here was super nice and speedy... I honestly don't understand how you could give them any less than 4 stars.

It is clean, friendly, efficient and prompt. I went at about 9:30 and I was seen within 15 minutes including new registration for a walk in.

Loved it ... I am considering changing it to my family doctors office :)

AVOID!! If you need medical help, my advice is to find the clinic at Queen and Spadina.

The docs and staff obviously could not care less about patient care or medical ethics.

Walked in with laryngitis, fevers, ID and no health card on a Saturday afternoon. They weren't busy. The receptionist insisted I either go home to get the card or they would charge me $75 to see the doc. I asked her to just call and get my card number (which they can easily do, and do everywhere else) and she said no. The doctor was behind her, saw I couldn't talk and was a mess. He watched me ask if she can just call to get the number and didn't stop to correct her when she existed on cash for the visit and saw I'd rather go home sick than be taken advantage of. FYI its illegal and unethical for a practitioner to charge privately for OHIP listed services, and it's beyond unethical to see a person who is so obviously I'll, and has OHIP coverage, and turn them away because you don't want to call in a health card and prefer to make $75 cash.

Very clean, nicely decorated Clinic, no line ups. Everyone was very friendly, and helpful. I was prescribed medicine and it was all very fast.
Except that I was asking for a referral that they promised, and I was told someone will call me about it. Noone called me about it ever! After about a month I called myself and was told that my info was sent to the doctor long time ago, then I was given number to call for an appointment. However, noone gets back to me from location given.

My boyfriend went there once and he said it was the worst experience for him. They did not look at his problem, was in a hurry. Doctor really did not pay attention and did not want to prescribe the medicine my boyfriend was used to. After a while, doctor decided to give a chance and prescribed only two pills (usually it was given at least 20) not saying a word that there is $10 service fee if there are less than 10 pills + 30 cents per pill. At the end he had to pay $10.60 for 2 little pills.. haha. He left the pills at pharmacy, and told me he will never go back to this walk in clinic. Doctor was supposed to examine problem and let the patient know that there is $10 fee for these 2 pills.

My feet were bothering me so my husband suggested I see his physiotherapist, Lauren MacArthur, about them.

I just had my second appointment with Lauren.

She had given me exercises to do to strengthen my ankles which have helped.  She gave me more exercises today.

We're still  working on building up the muscle under the toes next to my big toes which are causing me problems.

It's a professional clean new clinic with doctors, chiropractors, naturopaths, physiotherapist, etc.

The doctor (Dr. Draper) was decent, but the people behind the counter have poor manners, and generally lack basic common sense. I have never seen such poor client service and would advice anyone to find another location.
