Earl's is one of those places where the food and service is pretty good and because it's a chain things should be fairly consistent at any location. I've been to Earl's in Calgary, Edmonton, Kelowna and Vancouver. Unfortunately, I can say that the food and service are not so great at the Kamloops location. I've visited this particular Earl's many times in the last 5 years and it's apparent that things have gone downhill. In fact, I have completely given up and will not bother to return to eat at the Earl's in Kamloops. The food quality is inconsistent. My husband and I tend to order the one of the same 4 items on the menu and have always been happy with our meal. The Kamloops location seems to be unable to deliver a similar quality. Not even close. The service has been mediocre to downright terrible. On one recent visit our server disappeared for over 40 minutes. The restaurant was not busy and we could see her chatting other staff up in the kitchen. Meanwhile we were left without condiments, cutlery and beverages. I spoke to the manager and he assured us that it was not normally like that and invited us to return...which we did a few weeks later and were greeted with the same poorly prepared food and non-existent service.
Eating out isn't cheap. Earl's isn't exactly inexpensive...Our typical bill after food, drinks and dessert is around $75. There are many other places in town that I could get a far better meal and great service. So we will do just that and take our business elsewhere. -

I've eaten at various Earl's in BC, and the one in Kamloops is no different. Food is fine, service is good.
The Italia Roma pizza was good with just a bit of spice/kick. -

More upscale than dennys but the service sucked. Food good, drinks, unfortunately weak.
