I'm not a les...but I do appreciate pretty women when I see them and this place is crawling with beautiful hostesses and waitresses decked in all black short skirts.  The food is delicious and I especially love the chicken with brie and apple sandwich paired with a cup of their soup.  My boss took me here and I've been a few times.  It's a great place for drinks or people watching.

Friday nights are the best at Earls! I'm not usually the biggest fan of francisey restaurants (you know, Cactus, Moxies, Earls, etc...) but we came here for drinks before heading out for a night on the town.

Can I just say this, and end my review: 3 oz martini specials - $10.50

A pretty good way to kick off a fun Friday night. I had "The Skinny" (their low-cal version of a lemon drop), it was okay but a bit too sweet for me. My friend had the Green Envy one but asked to hold the melon liqueur which made it a bit on the sour side, which I preferred.

Filtered again eh? Don't trust Yelp, recently that have been caught to have favoured certain reviews to benefit the business. Bottom line, yelp is trash, all the honest places get terrible reviews while the businesses who has the most money to pay yelp reap the benefits. You have been warned

This place is terrible! WAY overpriced, terrible wait, and terrible service. The food was incredibly salty and tasted like crap.

I swear people only come here to check out their waiters and ignore the food, heck i even seen people hit on the waiters. Pathetic restaurant that exploits good looking girls and guys.

Food was ok. However, it was VERY overpriced. Service was good but could be better.

Only had appetizers and drinks after a long day.  Happy to find this place.  It was pretty packed since it was one of the only food places open late during the week.  They had a good drink menu with full bar.  Try the spinach dip, it is really good and you wont be able to stop.

We dropped into Earl's for dinner after a hard day of sight-seeing.  The (attractive) hostesses offered to seat us immediately in the bar area or we could wait for a table in a quieter part of the restaurant.  Not being in any hurry, we elected to wait for about 10-15 minutes.  The chairs are actually more like armless loveseat benches, which was cute although they will slide on the floor if you aren't careful.  There was an extensive cocktail and wine menu, and likely beer as well, but we opted to preserve our livers this time around.

I ordered the chicken and brie sandwich, my friend had the prawn tacos, and we shared a rocket salad.  The salad was incredible! Beets, arugula, walnuts, goat cheese.  I could've eaten the whole thing and asked for more.  The chicken sandwich was quite good, although the fig jam was a little heavy for my taste.  My friend seemed to enjoy her prawn taco and the spicy sauce that came with it.

Walking in, I expected it to be a nice upscale bar type place with ok food and eye candy.  All of the above is true, except the food is quite impressive.  The bathrooms are also very swanky and have amusing definitions printed on the doors.  Better yet, everything was reasonably priced and dinner for two was under $40 (without drinks).

I hate it when I'm away for work and the Hotel has no restaurant to order room service from. It forces me to actually go forth and seek food and have to sit alone..eating..drinking..pretending to look through my blackberry like I'm really important..I really realty hate this...but...much to my delight I had a great alone dinning experience at Earls.

It was kinda early for supper, 4:30pm, so the joint was a bit quite which made me happy right off the bat. I sat at the bar and was promptly greeted by an incredibly hot bartendress(which suits her better then bartender)...and when I say hot..I mean ..I'm gay so you know she was hot..i digress..."what can I get you" she asked with a wink and I smile...I think I actually giggled and blushed.."just a Stella please" I replied...she grabbed a chilled glass..loverly...and filled it up and plopped in front of me and said "careful hun the glass in cold"...again I giggled and blushed..I would make a terrible heterosexual...

Like I mentioned it was slow so she and I chatted a bit...I'm pretty sure there was flirtation...and she kept the Stella's coming. I ate the Chicken and Brie ciabbata with sauteed apples and spinach...REALLY good...and fries which were a bit greasy but washed down nicely with beer. I was almost sad when I finished as I would have to leave my bartendress..we had become so close...but alas server to patron flirtation can only last so long before you just have to leave her a huge tip and walk away...feeling a bit used as the beer buzz wears off because you know she just worked you over for the last hour so she would get that big tip..dammit..I fall for it every time..oh well..it was a most pleasant dinning alone experience!

Good service - Good Food - Great atmosphere - Good times...just watch out for the temptress behind the bar..she'll have you leaving 30% before you know it!

    5/16/2010 1 Check-in Here

Walking along Government St. I saw Earl's and thought, "A place also named Earl's up here, interesting." But then I looked at their graphics and realized it was owned by the same company that runs Earl's in the Seattle area. So I decided I would try to stop in before I left.

Last Monday we were getting ready to head back to the hotel to grab our suitcases and head back down to the ferry so I figured it was a fine time to stop in for a drink and something small to eat so I wouldn't be starving on the four hour journey home.

As expected Earl's had beautiful female servers, Monday happy hour margarita specials, decent but not great tasting cocktails, and a passable caesar salad.

Besides the novelty of trying out an Earl's up in Canada I felt a bit guilty coming here. Chains are heavy favored in Victoria and get preferential treatment when it comes to alcohol licensing, etc. I'm not saying Earl's has anything to do with that but it makes me guilty to go to any chain restaurant. Also with so many great non-chain restaurants and bars serving great food and cocktails in the area it doesn't really make sense to stop by a chain restaurant.

But considering how many smaller and local businesses I supported I figured it was OK to stop by one chain restaurant. And Earl's pretty much matched my lukewarm expectations.

It has like a lounge. The drink menu is interesting and large selection of beers. We are a few appetizers and they were great.

Definitely a good place to go on a Fri/Sat night.

My boyfriend and I passed by Earls on our way to a different restaurant the day before our visit, and I'll admit  the Stella umbrellas outside was what first caught my eye. But then we peeked inside and saw delicious looking food, so we dropped by the next day. Let me tell you guys- you will enjoy this place :) I work at a restaurant, and cannot imagine wearing the skintight short black dresses the waitresses here do. And they were all pretty good looking!
Our waitress was great- super friendly. She even poured our pitcher of wheat beer for us, refilling our beers until it was gone. And the beer was great!
We ordered the Italia pizza and the chicken Los Cabos tacos. Both were delicious, but slightly expensive.
I would definitely recommend this place! Lots of hot women to look at, great food, good beer!

Great place to bring some friends for dinner drinks. It has a lounge type atmosphere. Parking was hard to find we had to go to a parking garage a couple blocks away but it was free. The drinks are a little on the expensive side but for the location and atmosphere it is expected. The wings and side ceasar salad were great appy's and they have a pretty decent entree menu to choose from. You can also reserve certain areas for parties including a more private table area. I believe after about 830-9pm a dj came in and started playing music as well. They also have a lot of big screen tv's to show whatever sporting event may be on.

I didn't expect to get great service as soon as I walked in the door and the whole time I was there, but I did. The waitress was quick and pleasant. I have been back twice for the chicken corn tortilla tacos. The spicy sauce for the tacos meshes well with the clean avocados, the cabbage, the onions, and the other vegetables in there. My fiancé has been back for a burger and fries. The fries are Yukon gold and thin. We would recommend going here if you're out late and don't want to go to a place with strict I.D. Rules. The Caesar was okay, too much alcohol for me in it, but if you like less just ask for half the amount. We tried the chicken wings, not hot, but has a kick. I prefer the famous Red Robin chicken wing spice if you happen to be in search of the best spice on earth.  I give it a five because the service was the best I have had In the past year, surprisingly,  and I love those tacos after a good work out!
