I came a bit late for dim sum on Sunday, so the quality of the food wasn't that great. They close early at 3pm on Sundays, so you might want to learn from my mistake and go early. By the time I arrived, the last dim sum carts were going around, and the food was only lukewarm by then. Luckily though, we were still able to order from the kitchen.
The only thing I wasn't too happy about was that they forgot to bring us our tea. I know, it may seem like a small thing, but everyone knows that the first thing you get when you sit down in an Asian restaurant IS TEA. Maybe not your chopsticks, maybe not your fork if you can't handle chopsticks, but by golly there should be tea! We eventually flagged down a waitress and asked her for it, and I thought it was kind of funny when she looked taken aback and asked us "You didn't get your tea?" See? Even she knows about the tea thing.
Other than that, Dynasty is not too shabby. The quality of the food is pretty good; its got more taste and less grease than other places I've been to.
An important note: They will be closing their current location at the Strathcona Antique Mall and will be relocating to their former address in Chinatown, at #206, 9700-105 Avenue. For those of you who remember, that was when they were known as Marco Polo. They seem to have gotten better however. After all, they say change is a good thing.
