Lots of selection here. They even have a section of wines with 90 points or more for under $30. Chilled selection of whites include many rieslings, which was perfect for me.
Helpful and attentive staff, and when they checked my ID, he said that "I was well preserved for my age." I guess I'm going to take it as a compliment. -

Two nights ago went there with my wife to p/u a bottle of wine to have while listening to live music at the Harmony Festival.
Asked the cashier if they sold plastic wine glasses (any kind, not necessarily the dime-a dozen variety). In a grossly condescending voice, the woman said, "We don't use plastic glasses anymore, people. There's too much plastic in the sea - don't you know?" She could have just said "no" - we didn't need the eco-lecture.
The delicious irony of it was that she then handed our purchase to us in a non-biodegradable plastic bag! So we went to the corner store next door and got what we needed anyhow. Saved our little plastic cups for the next time we need them - what a dimwit!
This is not the first time I have had bad service from this place - it will be the last, though! Had a young twit patronize me there when I asked about Vouvray wines, & another guy sold me on some bottles that turned out to be crap.
There's a good private store on 16th in West Van; also at the Taphouse in Park Royal South. Plus a phenomenal BC Liquor Store at PR North. Go there instead. Avoid Liberty on the South Side - same attitude and bad service as at Dundarave. -

I very seldom go over here but as a sister to Kitsilano Wine Cellar they have much the same stock only tailored for the West Vancouver market, there are no critter wines here, which is a good thing. I was on my way to a BBQ in Loin's Bay and stopped for a bottle of wine, I was late for the BBQ as I had a great conversation with the guy in the shop that really knows his wine. If you are in West Van drop in, I have on my way to Whistler several times, I like the lower road to Horseshoe Bay it's a nice way to ease into a weekend.
