Review from Christine R.

The Dundarave Seawalk really is a thing of beauty. This wide, flat paved trail runs along West Vancouver's waterfront from Dundarave Park (near the Beach House Restaurant) to John Lawson Park. It's edged by well-maintained native shrubbery, with exclusive apartments on one side of you and the ocean on the other.
There's a dog run that runs alongside the trail - the dogs walk behind the fence while their owners walk on the other. My unruly beasts would not get the concept, I am sure, but I see plenty of well-trained pups who do, so it seems to work out.
Keep in mind you are not allowed to do anything besides walk, or jog, on the SeaWALK. No bikes, rollerbades, or wheely shoes. I made the mistake once of trying to rollerblade here and was literally frowned off the path back onto the mean streets of West Van. One lady formed a "noooo" with her mouth while vigourously shaking her head in disapproval and that was enough to keep me from trying the trick again. She was scary.
The Seawalk is also very safe for nighttime walking. It's well-lit and there are usually a few souls out and about at any hour of the day.
