Love the Dundarave Fish Market.  Always bring friends here from out of town.  The rip tide squid is amazing.  The patio is wonderful it has a great energy on a sunny day.

I would eat those crab cakes every day of my life - absolutely scrumptious.

I was less enthused about the fish 'n' chips. Tasty, yes, but after the starter I expected more. The coin fries were unusual, but greasier than I expected. Thought they'd go for the fries that are more like roasted potatoes. Also, there wasn't much fish inside the batter :-S

Will be going back to try another main course when I have money to burn. Or just order lots of crab cakes.

Had limited time and took a chance. What a wonderful restaurant. Great food, good service, hope to be back in Vancouver to go there again soon.
Crab cakes were superb and seafood chowder was one on the best I have had.
Your taste buds will thank you for going there

Hit this place last night due to its convenience to a theatre. What a pleasant surprise. We sat outside on the patio and despite a bit of chill at the end (as the wind picked up) it was a thoroughly enjoyable place to have dinner.

This place serves fish ONLY and serves it simply, originally and deliciously.

Michael and I started splitting coconut prawns - deep fried with a nice gingery sauce. Next I had a seafood sizzle - prawns, scallops, clams and mussels done in a crab infused butter and served with french bread. Michael had the Alaska Black Cod risotto and just about licked the plate.

We accompanied that with a shared order of fried potatoes which also came with a nice aioli kind of sauce.

Crème Brûlée and Coconut cheesecake with a nutty crust finished the meal - and both were excellent.

The wine list is short but interesting and they feature a Captain's Glass (9 oz) in addition to the regular glass - essentially a glass and a half of wine which is usually what I want with a meal. More than one glass but not two - great idea and most welcome.

This is a simple, no frills experience with fast friendly service. You can have the regular menu items or select the size and sauces/preparation (e.g. halibut with tequila lime butter OR Thai Red Chili OR ...) from 6, 8 and 10 oz portions of fresh fish. You can select it yourself from the display if you choose.
A great discovery which will prompt at least one return visit. I am determined to try the halibut and chips. The guy at the next table had it and it looked magnificent - had he been less observant I would have stolen it!!. My son reminded me that i am watching my diet so a deep-fried dinner was not an option.

Fair enough - I'm coming back for lunch when he's at work.

I suspect that a couple more visits may result in an extra star.

This place serves up an extensive menu of fresh seafood all day. Inside the restaurant, there is also a fish market where you can purchase all kinds of fish, shellfish and crabcakes. I believe they are caught every morning so they are very fresh. What can be better than a pint of beer and fish and chips on the patio?

I love this place, in the heart of Dundarave, because of the fresh fish and the tapas sized servings available whenever you're hungry. The Panko Oysters are my fave....accompanied with the Cucumber Salad. An easy place to share, sit outside......and they have GREAT fish and chips. Interesting menu.

I LOVED the atmosphere really can't say enough about that. Very inviting. If i lived around here I'd go here for a drink all the time just to hang out at the great looking bar in a truly nice neighborhood. However, I lived 3000 miles away. I had the sockeye salmon which I learned was the meat-fed salmon, and it was on rice. There were too many cherry tomatoes, but the fish was moist and good. Service was a bit slow, but overall I'd come back here if ever in Vancouver again.

I love this place. Cucumber salad, riptide squid, are most satisfying! Very relaxed, lovely atmosphere.
