The newest addition to Dundarave Village is this owner operated tea and coffee house. The ambiance is classy, in this long, narrow intimate space which has comfortable seating and classical music. There's a small, glassed in meeting room at the back with wifi, where conversation can be contained privately.
This is the kind of place to go with a book to read or to study in peace while enjoying a light lunch, a treat and a nice loose leaf tea or one of the many varieties of coffee they have, including the much sought after syphon coffee, personal french press or individual cone drip coffee.
We had the hot soups, and we were really impressed, they were so good.
They also have some merchandise for sale, including a siphon set from Taiwan. Everything in there is so nice.
Ornate stainless steel urns decorate the counter and are used to dispense hot water, lovely chandeliers light the room, and they also have a rather large Dutch iced coffee maker which I don't think I've ever seen before. In warmer weather we'll have to check that out.
Two brothers own this place together and you get the feeling of respect they have for the art and ritual involved in making these beverages.
Although this Coffee and Tea shop has competition on this strip, I think this business will be successful in that they have carved out a very individual niche there. People are already starting to appreciate the ambiance of the place and I know I'll be back to check up on them.
