Drawn & Quarterly is a publisher known for their excellent graphic novels. Their flagship store at 211 Bernard Ouest is my favourite bookstore in Montreal. They've published cartoonists such as Adrian Tomine, Daniel Clowes, Chester Brown, and Julie Doucet. As well as their own books, their store carries a small but great selection of hip fiction. I never manage to leave the shop without buying a novel that was already on my "To Read" list. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
Drawn & Quarterly also does regular events that are almost always a great time and worth checking out. You'll most likely discover a great new author. The only problem is that the store gets so crowded during events, it's hard to make your way to all the books!
