Dim-sum for this place has been consistently good and the service is considered to be excellent for a chinese restaurant. The washrooms are above average. Although the prices are on the higher side, the early bird discounts offsets it and the value of the food is present.

Worst service ever here. The servers can't function properly when its really busy here and their all booked up. I booked two weeks in advance with a party of 10. Arrived and seated, than asked to get up and wait up at the front because they got confused and the table was supposed to be for someone elses party. Ok fine, common mistake. The thing that really pushed my buttons was when the lady who runs the up front booking stuff comes up to me and asked me who I spoke to. I recognized her voice (not only from the phone call but I've been here multiple times) and said I talked to her about booking my table two weeks ago. She isntantly denied that I talked her and that this was her fault, basically calling me a liar. Sooo we wait at the front for 45 minutes and they finally seat us near the kitchen in a table thats meant for 5-6 people. The food was salty and no good, which surprised me since I usually enjoy their dim sum. After that came the bill. The lady was literally (no joke) tapping her foot in front of me while I was figuring out how much tip to give and looking over the bill. She was sighing and soo rude. As I was signing the damn bill she literally took the bill from my hand...WHILE i was signing..
All in all, I only gave them 1 star because I considered their dim sum. There are way better chinese restaurants in Vancouver/Richmond than this place..with way better service. -

Dinner here is consistently good.
Most reviews for Dragon View are for dimsum, so I thought I would write a review for dinner instead.
Been here for both dimsum and dinner and it's consistently good for both. Saturday night we booked an early dinner at 6pm. We arrived right on time and our table was definitely ready. There were only 3 other tables already occupied, so service was excellent since there were only 4 tables for the early seating.
Since its October and the weather was starting to get cold, we ordered one of my favorite...lamb hot pot with lettuce and mushrooms. Love this dish. It's super tasty and always warms me up in the winter. I think I must have eaten half of the dish by myself. So Good. I think we started a trend because every table that arrived after we received the lamb hot pot, ordered it too. By the time we left, the restaurant was completely full, and I saw a whole bunch of lamb hot pots on the burners. Too funny.
Cannot wait to come again just for that dish, especially as the temperature drops in Vancouver. -

I have come here for dim sum several times and I haven't been disappointed. This is a really busy place and you should be ready to wait if you don't have a reservation. You really don't need one...just wait for a couple of minutes and a table of 5-10 will probably leave right around when you arrive.
The food is excellent. We eat dim sum 1-2 times per week on average and this is one of my favourite places. The food is average; it tastes just like anything else. The difference is the location and the ability to bypass almost all of Richmond when coming here. Richmond has bizarre traffic patterns..no one ever knows when traffic is going to be bad. I can't ever figure out when people will be out. This is a great place to go.Listed in: Saturday Morning Food in…

I'm a regular at this dim sum spot in Richmond, usually with the guys. As with most Dim Sum places, there are two onslaughts on weekend mornings, the 10AM crowd and the 12PM crowd, so try to get reservations, otherwise you'll be waiting for a little bit.
Ambiance (3.5/5) - Decor has been updated in the last 6-8 months I believe and it's quite classy, considering the middle of the road price point. The tablewear was in good condition (no chipped bowls) and the facilities are modern and clean.
Food (3/5) - They have a decent variety of dim sum on their menu as well as some larger noodle/rice dishes that you can order. My recommended dishes are the bean curd skin rolls, the pan-fried, X.O. sauce Chinese radish cakes and the egg-yolk steamed buns. This place doesn't offer the best dim sum, but I don't always get to go to Kirin Richmond...and I don't pay the prices too!
Service (3/5) - Generally pretty attentive but you'll have to be a bit patient during rush hours. Food comes fairly quick however and you'll be stuffing your face in no time. Nothing stands out, good or bad. -

This was my first time having Dim Sum here. We came around 11:30am and we got the last table - it was pretty busy for a Tuesday afternoon.
They have a decent menu, which includes most of the typical foods that are chosen during dim sum. All the food we order came pretty quick considering how full the restaurant was.
Shrimp dumplings: Huge amount if shrimp and the skin was chewy and delicious.
Turnip cake: The squares were soft and flavourful inside and had a nice crispy outside sear.
Spring rolls: Nice twist with the seaweed middle wrappin and crunchy spring roll skin.
Meatballs: Not a fan, but the meat was cooked thoroughly atleast.
Meat in noodle roll: Good balance of meat and noodle, came with a few veggies too.
BBQ pork bun: Very freshly steamed. Bun was soft and not soaked. Meat was marinated well and tender.
Deep-fried dumpling with meat filling: The outside skin was a good thickness and crunch and didn't have a big oily taste like other places I've been to.
Egg tart: Super flakey tart crust and perfectly gooey, sweet and jiggly eggy custard inside.
Me and my friends were left really satisfied. It helped also that the service always topped up our tea with hot water, cleared our empty plates efficiently and offered new plates when ours were dirty.
Plate Prices:
Small: $3.25
Medium: $4.19
Large: $4.79 -

This restaurant used to be Wah Wing Restaurant. It changed to Dragon View Restaurant not long ago.
I went there for Dim Sim Today. It was quite busy and crowded during lunch time.
Dim Sims and service were ok. Pretty same as others, no surprise or special.
We had few dim dims to share:
Shrimps dumping - Tasty and the skin was thick.
Veggie dumplings - OK
Beef tender and strip with rice noodle - The noodle was so dry and not enough sauce on top.
