Since most of my friends and I will be having / already have a mortgage, I decided to try a place (for my bday) that has awesome Yelp reviews and is easy on the pocket... and then i stumbled upon Double DD Pizza.
I told everyone to order a dish, and I ordered 2 pizza + 2 appys for everyone to share:
pizza 1 = onions, mushroom, pepperoni, green papers & lean beef
pizza 2 = ham, pineapple, mushroom & green peppers
appy 1 = kalamari
appy 2 = saganaki
both pizzas got 11/10 based on the quality and the sheer size, they were amazing... the kalamari was 10/10... and the saganaki was a bit on the salty side but still 9/10
i ordered the BBQ chicken & ribs which comes with choice of lasagna / spaghetti / french friends / salads... i went with lasagna (which i sampled the following day because i was simply too stuffed from the pizza and appy). The lasagna, which i had 3 days after still tasted delicious!
I also got to sample my friend's lamb chop dish, and that also tasted amazing.
Towards the end they also gave me a piece of cake for my bday, and it was not small by all means, it was enough to be shared by 8 people.
Overall, I'm extremely impressed and pleased with the price and quality of food - truly outstanding. -

Very reasonable prices and good food. They just did a big renovation and have doubled their space. Their pitchers are reasonably priced for the area 12$ and it's a good place to catch a game.

Their pasta is amazing and they give you a good size of it too. So for 10 bucks it was a good deal. (plus tax and tip). Also includes a salad and garlick bread. Great family owned place.

Amazing!!!!!
The place is not fancy at all, and it always looks empty, why? I don't know.
They are not very fast on bringing the food out but while you wait they bring you salad or bread straight away (if it comes with your meal)
The food at this place is very, very tasty!! Oh men, I don't even know where to start!
My boyfriend and I have been there twice, The last time I went I ordered the steak (medium rare) comes with salad, bread and a bake potato ;)
I have no words to describe how delicious it was!
The steak was perfectly cooked just how I asked (medium rare) they got it perfectly right.
My boyfriend ordered the lamb souvlaki came with Greek salad and garlic bread. He said it wad incredible. He had a party in his mouth ;)
I have only good things to say about this place.
Our lovely Brazilian waitress was very smiley and helpful too.
Even the owners ( an old lady and her husband) came out to asked us how it was and wave goodbye as we left.
Family run restaurant.
Like I said it's not fancy but pretty amazing when it comes to food.
Pizza, and lasagne are very good too.
I might go on the weekend. ;)

we've only ordered pizza for delivery but it's fast and tasty and free! I'm never put on hold for ages when I call, and their delivery person is always friendly. Pizzas are good, not the best I've ever had but overall a great neighborhood find.

Best Family Restaurant in Kits!!! Pizza, pasta or souvlaki are all fresh and delicious. Friendly service.

OK, so I checked out some reviews on other sites because yelp only had one and it just too easily could have been an owner. Anyway, I so badly wanted this to become my regular pizza joint and was really excited about how good the pizza looked when it arrived. I ordered the Double DD pizza special because there were so many funky options on their menu I just couldn't decide. I cannot believe how bland the pizza was considering how many different toppings were on the thing. Now I'm not going to complain too much about the fact that the bottom of the pizza was soggy when it arrived because I got delivery(although that doesn't seem to happen with pizza from other places), but I am going to say that the crust was not good.
The only reason why I'm giving this place 2 stars is because all the reviews online talk about this place like a gem in my neighbourhood, so I plan on giving it another chance...just not on the pizza.
