I've been going here on daily basis for some time. The whole experience is second to none. I suspect Kyle J is running a competing coffee shop based on his negative review. As an espresso fanatic I can attest to Tony's extremely consistent technique resulting in a wonderful espresso each and every time. He uses Hines' Origins beans which may not be my favorite beans but that is just personal taste. Dose is among my top 3 espresso cafe's in town. It's hands down number 1 in terms of consistent results in the cup. Elysian and 49th will occasionally make a more flavorful, nuanced espresso but depending on who's manning the bar that day it's just a crap shoot. Dose gets it right every time.
I don't drink latte's much anymore but if you're into that Tony has some crazy skills. Rosetta's? Apples? Hearts? Forget that. On Chinese new year Tony was pouring DRAGONS! -

I was almost passed by this little espresso bar and was lucky that I didn't! When I found "Flat-white" in their menu, I was so excited, hoping that I could have Aussie style coffee which I have been missing for a year! Well, I actually ordered Latte, not flat-white. It tuned out - beyond my expectation! Tempering was perfect, milk form was silky and smooth and the guy (Tony? if I remember correctly?) beautifully made latte art. You know, coffee can really make your day!! So Thank you Dose!

Lucky me. I happen to have the best coffee shop in Vancouver a block away from my office. Dose has been putting Americanos in my hand for a few months now, and I've come to really appreciate the place. Amazing, expertly prepared drinks.
They're a true part of the community; the staff is friendly and knows all of the regulars, and they even donated 100% of their sales for a day toward Japan disaster relief. For a small business, that's huge. Go in and have a a drink! -

My friend and I were shopping in the area, and she suggested we grab a coffee at her regular coffee shop. When we got to the door, a sign read closed, but there were people inside. The owner happily opened the door and made us drinks. We ordered the burnt caramel latte. The temperature was perfect, eye pleasing latte art, aromatic caramel that was nicely burnt and not too sweet. The espresso wasn't over roasted and had a full bodied flavour. A perfect treat for the midday caffeine fix.

Great coffee, great service - definitely a positive addition to the neighborhood :) Love their hazelnut mocha !
The brownies and croissants they have are yummy too !
Prices also vary from $3 - $5 range, next time try this instead of starbucks :) -

Dose is great spot amid a sea of generic coffee joints. I love Dose. The coffee is delicious and the service is topnotch. What more can you ask for? I was actually incredibly sad when my commute changed this fall because I no longer travel anywhere near the cafe. Now I make time to sometimes go out of my way for the specialness that is Dose.

One of the best coffee bar's in Vancouver! I'm very picky about my Americano, and Tony gets it right every time. I highly recommend Dose to anyone that loves good coffee.
Fantastic service, always welcoming with big smiles. -

Neat coffee shop if you're near Granville and Broadway or waiting for the B-line. I saw their cute sign that they have nutella mochas, and a honey cinnamon latte (or something like that). I opted for a nutella mocha. The coffee they use was good and they crafted my drink with care, which was much appreciated. But I think I am personally not a fan of the nutella mocha because it didn't taste very mocha-y, but rather it tasted like a regular mocha, so maybe not worth the extra $$.
But nonetheless, I would try this place again for one of their other drinks. -

This place would be overrated if it were rated crappy.
The coffee is absolutely terrible.
I paid the usual $2-$3 for a double, 8oz Americano and received a cup of dilute piss that I would feel guilty serving at Denny's.
Instead of sucking back the swill at this dump, I recommend either heading south to Bean Around the World at 14th and Granville, or hitting up the JJ Bean on Granville Island.
This was the worst cup of coffee I have had in ages.
Very disappointing. -

For 3.75$ with tax, it is hands down the greatest latte in town! On top of the the staff is always friendly and will always make pretty latte art for you. Their baked goods are also amazing. I had a lemon blueberry scone that had fresh grated lemon rind on top and was not flaky at all and still light and moist in the center. Definitely check it out if you haven't yet.

There is something really charming about this small space that offers lovely selection of lattes and just-the-right-size treats.
It's only a 3 star because I rate coffee places on their espresso and I'd say this is average to good espresso. I don't do the sweet coffees but according to the other reviews people find them fantastic. -

Solid espresso. Very lively/fruity flavour. The place is tiny, and good for a quick in-and-out affair. Not the sort of place I'd set up camp to read or do any work on a notebook.

Dose does the best coffee in Vancouver, hands down. Anyone who says otherwise probably thinks Starbucks are a contender! The long Mac is delicious, chai lattes are fantastic too. Service is personal and friendly. A keeper for sure!

Random tiny place a hop skip from the Granville B-Line stop.
Came here during their Grand Opening day as it was BOGO Free. Staff was friendly and energetic. I think I ordered their Dose espresso, which was in a tiny cup but was easily the strongest espresso I've ever had.
Definitely a to-go place as they have a dinky L-shaped bench seating by the window. Not very comfy. -

Perfect spot for a coffee shop, right beside the 99 stop at Broadway and Granville. For their opening week, they have a little bingo-like game you can play to get free drinks/snacks or money off your purchase. They still have a little ways to go before they're fully operational -- they don't have a debit/credit machine yet, and they only had half and half out on their milk bar. I had to ask for a different kind of milk to put in my coffee.
They had an issue of Lapham's Quarterly sitting on their coffee table -- I'll have to come back sometime for a leisurely coffee break by the window and read it. -

This place is rad. We got Americanos and a chocolate croissant - all tasty. The folks there are super nice and the decor is adorable. Definitely my go-to for coffee on my way to work!

very cozy coffee bar with focused baristas who will treat you right. good presentation, locally-roasted coffee, and some cozy seats. try the brownies too. nomnomnom.
the dose dose - machiatto plus shot of espresso - is a very good idea if you like your espresso both with some milk and without. i approve! -

We had the chance to find this great spot on Broadway, almost like an oasis. Espresso delicious! And the owners are super nice. Thank you!

Love this place. It is bright and airy, small so not somewhere to sit during peek times, but so cute. Great coffee (Hines Market espresso) and probably the nicest proprietor ever. Also interesting art and reading materials.
For anyone who has visited Habit in Victoria Dose has a similar vibe, same designer and espresso. -

This place is where I go when I want to treat myself to a very nice flat white that makes me feel like I am in Australia traveling when the sun is shining... plus of course the baked goods are delightful. And the baristas are cute cute.

Very good espresso and excellent pastries fresh from Baguette & Co , which means Dose has the best pastries in the area.

I go past this place on the bus at least 6 times a week, and I'm glad I finally went in today for the first time. It's as cute inside as it is on the outside (I'm loving the typography on the window). I tried one of their "specials" - a honey cocoa latte - and it was delicious. It was sweet without being sickly, and the coffee itself was excellent. Just what I was craving on a cold (and snowy) afternoon!
