Their donair is decent, but the pita is an odd texture. It was perfectly fine as far as flavor goes.

The thing that bothered me was that they had NO lamb and it was lunch time.
Also, I went with 2 friends and we ordered and paid. While we waited for our food, 2 guys popped in and order the same thing we did.

    Waiting, waiting...
2 guys making donairs. 5 people total in the restaurant. My friends got their food. I still hadn't (I ordered last out of the 3 of us). Then they give my donair to one of the guys that ordered after us. I had to remind them that I ordered a damn chicken donair and had to tell them what I wanted on it. Wait, wait...eat like a fucking starving ethiopian so I don't hold up the party.

    The chicken was good.
    But.
    Donair Dude FTW.

This is one of my regular quick stop meals in the city, and sometimes I have craved it enough to actually travel to the Granville strip, cut through the hordes of make up infested bridge people, and wait in line for one of these gems.

These are donairs made proper! The meat's cut from their large rotissery hunk, the toppings are somewhat fresh, the tzatziki sauce is mildly spiced yogurt, and the final product doesnt come weirdly salty or soggy. Although if you're going to try downing it and stumbling down the street, you might face some serious fashion faux pas'

The staff are usually incredibly well composed for the demand of this position, and face the lines of drunks with pleasantry and calmness. However, it may be best to try to enter these doors before the rush of post-club last-call intoxication does.

A single donair makes for a filling dinner, and without that awkward fast food brick in your stomach digestion of burgers and/or pizza. I would recommend the lamb or chicken meats!

Ugh. Not good. I'd give 1.5 stars if I could, as I hate to hand out such a low review, but it really needs to clean up its act. It's really taking advantage of the high volume irregular traffic on Grandville to sell a pretty lousy product/experience.

I had a chicken shwarma platter. Let's break it down. The chicken shwarma itself was adequate, though not great. It came with some mediocre tabouleh some salad (lettuce, cucumber, onion, tomato), which was covered in a weird sweet-tasting tztatiki. I could be wrong, but it tasted a little like it ranch dressing or Miracle Whip. Yuck. A dollop of hot sauce on top of this redeemed the flavor slightly.

Next, the bland hummus had the same thin consistency as those small individual Wild Garden hummus servings (they come in little milk carton pyramids). Gross.

The typical thin factory pita was served on a plate in the same plastic bag that it was purchased by the store in.

At least they give some pickled turnips.

The interior is not pleasant, think crappy diner. They have a TV on in the back. Neither of the two staff members seemed to take great care with cleanliness. They touched the money and my food without washing their hands.

Suffice to say, go up the street to Al Haldmain for better food in the immediate vicinity. Best in town is still Sammy's as far as I'm concerned.

Not at peak form at 1:30am on a Friday night. I had a pita with soggy falafel and really terrible tzatziki that resembled ranch dressing more than yogurt. There was also a weird patron situation going on, and the guy was like "two?" when I was like "regular falafel please" and I'm thinking, two what? Two falafel balls? Sort of distracted by the disheveled-looking dudes the guys behind the counter were busy ignoring, I smiled and nodded (default reaction) which led them to start making two pitas, oops. They were gracious about me only accepting one, though, so I'll give them a star back for it.

Cheap, but the savings weren't worth it. Don't let this be your first-line drunken falafel stop; there are better options.

Right across the street from HOJO's. A great late night spot that is sooooo much better than a falafel sandwich.

Get this: a sweet cream sauce over your lamb stuffed in a pita with veggies and tatziki then toasted. So amazing.

The folks who work there got to see us a lot and they were very nice.

I wish there were donairs in America.

And they have a lot of other dished for a very good price.

Yum!  Some of the best late-night grub around.  But there is much to choose from in the area.  Will I randomly find this place again?
