Review from Farin I.
I love dollar cinema. You basically get what you pay for here and honestly the system might not be too great for action packed movies but its not bad either. I always come hit here with a huge group of friends if we all missed a movie while it was opening. And they even play retro movies sometimes. Care to watch Titanic again?

I've only seen a movie by myself at a theatre two times in my life. One of those times was here. I saw the movie "Watchmen." I saw it at Dollar Cinema about a year after it had stopped playing at other cinemas. I actually think this is awesome of Dollar Cinema, as if you didn't have the opportunity to see a movie in theatres when it comes out, you can just wait for a bit and then see it here. The theatre is pretty alright considering they only charge $2.50 to see a movie. They will sometimes play older movies as well which I find pretty cool of them.
I still dream of the day that they play Back to the Future here (and that I am aware of it). -

If you're looking for a cheap night it's perfect. The movie and food combined will cost you under $5 and you'll get to see a slightly older movie.
Unfortunately for me, being 6'2", I wasn't very comfortable. The seats are pretty tight and clearly not the same seats as in the regular overpriced theatres.
I'd rather pay $10 for a movie, when I go maybe once every week or two, and get high quality sound, screen and comfortable seats. -

Saw Toy Story 3 here today. It's a great little theater with recent movies and the price can't be beat.

Hey, the price is right! Flicks cost you a Toonie. All the treats set you back a Loonie. Contemporary and retro movies are shown, like Wolverine and Some Like It Hot. The cinema is hard to find within the dead mall of Décarie Square. It's in a hidden corner on the second floor. You can walk from the Namur metro station. If you're driving, the mall (with free parking) is behind the Jean-Talon Walmart. I noticed that this theatre was cleaner than other cinemas.
