I really can't say enough good things about Brian and Dog Trekkers. His walks always leave our (energetic) dog tired out and happy. The true sign of a great dog walker is that your dog is more happy to see them then you, and that is the case with Brian.
We have tried a few and will be sticking with Dog Trekkers -- they are convenient, well priced and reliable. -

I had only used one dog walker in DC before moving to Halifax, so it was a bit nerve wracking trying to pick a new dog walker for my two border collie mixes. Since Dog Trekkers had a good review on Yelp, I set up a consultation with Brian. He met me and my dogs within a few days of me emailing him which was great timing since I needed a dog walker fairly quickly. He is very personable and professional and takes the time to explain all the details. Between him and his employee Maura, they have shorter am walks and longer afternoon walks. For the longer walks, they drive the dogs to various parks and do off leash walks in groups of 6 or less. At first I was nervous about an off leash walk but both of my dogs had a fabulous time and listened to Maura. It's a relief to find a dog walking service that you can trust completely. They offer a discount rate of $20/trek (longer walks) if you buy a package of 10 walks. Not bad.
